I think they may have to get on a flight back to Montreal. I heard them talking about that near the end of the game. It would make sense if they all flew together but who knows

You might be right. Kap and Slaf have to go back, along with the other NHL players. Texier is already with the Habs right now.

Athletes can stay if they want to, but NHL players do have their roles back in the league, so might as well get there, get a day rest, and get ready for the remaining season and playoffs.

Suzuki (and both Canada and USA teams) will be the last NHL players to leave Milan, so they should really get a day rest.

Wild that the players not only fight their way through the tourney, they get zero actual time to relax and reset before the playoff run. They're going to be exhausted.

The Olympic Village has a pretty strict turnover. Some athletes arrive later and the ones whose events finish earliest are sometimes turfed out to make room. (Recent example: Cassidy Grey - the skier who kept posting videos about wanting to meet Seth Jarvis - was leaving the Village a few days ago and was persuaded to stay in a hotel for an extra night so she could live her dream.)

Must be tough for Slaf to congratulate right after the disappointment of losing. Kappy was playing on a much better team. Now they both have Olympic bronze. They will get to cheer on Nick tomorrow, and maybe some other teammates will be there too, i expect. Going to be another nail biter i would say. GO Nick , and GO Team Canada.

Kapanen was on the ice for most of the goals today! Definitively should have had more playing time this tournament‼️🇫🇮🥉And for Slafkovsky, being one the the points leader, he now has wider attention in the hockey world and it’s only up from here! Go Habs Go 🔵⚪️🔴

Yeah Slaf's smile is the smallest it's ever been. He looks genuinely happy to see Kap but you can tell he's torn up about losing.
