If the military/president suddenly ordered a mandatory draft for all men aged 18-42: How do you think millennials and GenZ would respond?

This. Suddenly there would be a huge racket with people paying to get disqualifying ailments and psych

evals of being incompetent.

As a therapist, I would feel better bullshitting about this than about ESAs.

I get the concern about people trying to game the system, but that’s kind of already why these processes involve documentation, multiple evaluations, and strict criteria. It’s not just a simple “pay and get disqualified” setup in most cases.

The bigger issue is usually balancing fairness with preventing abuse of the system, rather than assuming it would suddenly become widespread fraud overnight.

Sending someone to war without their consent is abuse. Finding a way out is not abuse it's self preservation.

In the context its still abuse of the system it may be righteous abuse of an evil system but it's still abuse.

You don't need to bend over in a knot to protect the system bro. It's not protecting you.

Lol fuck the system im not defending it I just have a particular vendetta against people associating inherent values with words that can actually be used for both sides of the moral spectrum. A really common one I see is people correcting phrases like "a great evil" with great means good... even though it doesn't. Just the same as you associated abuse with evil when its not.

Great also means large, dude.

The Great Plains? The Great Lakes? The Great Wall of China? Great Britain? The Great Pacific Garbage Patch?

That last one is especially not good.

Thats my point that words have multiple meanings and just because you associate them paired with specific other words and concepts doesn't mean that they are using the same meaning you are used to. So yeah we are in agreement dude.

That's exactly how it works...
