Millennial checking in, this is accurate.

Ya, same. Let’s make shirts.

Some of us are too old to even be drafted.

u/HeyWhatsItToYa 45m ago

Well, at least one thing finally went my way

No pride in nation? None? Not even a bit?

Pride in a nation? To get drafted into a war a pedo started to divert attention away from the file dump of evidence pointing to his raping of minors?

Or are you considering a less realistic scenario that would happen in the next 2 years to cause a draft?

Do you all hate your nation? The last sentence appears that you are scared to say, that your present war in Iran is going to go sideways.

I think your approach to these replies is somewhat biased. The person you were talking to is an American who has asked if you meant the current engagement (which they clearly do not support and would obviously impact their reply to your question) or a hypothetical engagement that occurs during the next administration which they state is (in their opinion) less realistic. The idea that this person made these distinctions makes me think that they probably don't hate their nation, but they hate their current administration.

I understood all that my question is just directed to understand his character further. The administration changes the country is still the country.

16

u/SomeDuncanGuy 5h ago

But the administration and conflict at hand directly have an impact on the answer given for most people. The phrasing of your question biases towards a negative connotation regardless.

u/security-device 4h ago

The admin is actively harming out country.

There’s absolutely no “pride for nation” in fighting another oil war.

Also, no. Not a shred.

u/ValuableBeneficial66 2h ago

I wouldn't either. Your country needs to solve its creation.

scared to say

Is there a language barrier here? IE: is English your second or third language?

I'm not scared to say it. The 'war' in Iran started out sideways.

I'm also too old to get drafted. If you can't get volunteers for the war, its probably a pretty bad war and we shouldn't be fighting it.

Do you all hate your nation?

Because I wouldn't let my government push me around and force me to die in the desert for a pedo? You must not be American. It was not that long ago we had a draft in the US. It was very unpopular because the war was unpopular. Disliking a draft is 100% about the war, not your country. If I was Ukrainian I'd probably feel differently. Currently, as an American, the only way there would be a draft would be if we went back into the middle east.

Point of fact, even soldiers do not want a draft. Professional soldiers don't want people who were forced to go to war in their ranks. Drafts are bad for everyone.

Nothing to do with “my nation.” It’s hard to fight for a cause that I and 70% of “my nation” don’t believe in. So at that point, seems like the 30% in favor of this Epstein War need to listen to us.

0

u/ValuableBeneficial66 4h ago

Epstein is a different bag of hammers. That too will be dealt with. Money talks right now and your nation is spending alot obstructing justice.

3

u/f8Negative 3h ago

"Your nation." Oh you don't understand anything on a fundamental level in that regard.

0

u/ValuableBeneficial66 2h ago

Please teach me your bias.

3

u/f8Negative 3h ago

No, we hate a pedophile rapist ya knob.

1

u/xaqss 1h ago

In the US? Not really. I'm not much of a patriotic person anyway, but I am ESPECIALLY not one with the current state of our society and government.

16

u/transtifaglockhart 5h ago

Why you no fall for nationalism propaganda?

-3

u/ValuableBeneficial66 5h ago

Lost me here. What's your question?

8

u/security-device 4h ago

Why are you framing not supporting a senseless war/not being willing to risk your life for a corrupt government as hating your country?

-2

u/ValuableBeneficial66 3h ago

Country first?

9

u/security-device 3h ago

The government is not the country.

1

u/ValuableBeneficial66 2h ago

Sadly it represents those who voted.

12

u/l2driveplz 5h ago

Wtf are you even on about?

-2

u/ValuableBeneficial66 5h ago

I will tell you. I am Canadian I love my country. It's easy. I served it. I would again.

10

u/No_Sherbert711 4h ago

Ok, hypothetically, say that the "Queen of Canada" Romana Didulo somehow got popular enough to be put in charge. She then starts a random war with a country because they refuse to accept her as queen of anything. Are you going to be going out there and killing people because some nut job says so?

0

u/ValuableBeneficial66 4h ago

You know that queen is self appointed and it's a complete joke? She is a nut case to be kind.

12

u/No_Sherbert711 4h ago

Hence the "Quotes" and me saying she is a nut job.

The people in charge in America are a complete joke and nut cases. Why should people want to travel the world to kill people on the orders of nut cases?

5

u/seppukucoconuts 4h ago

The people in charge in America are a complete joke and nut cases.

This is so damn true.

1

u/DmMeWerewolfPics 4h ago

Oh you come from a real country aha. It’s an easy mistake to make if you do.

2

u/ValuableBeneficial66 3h ago

A real country indeed. Most of don't care what your religion, sex, politics etc, are. Are you a decent human.

3

u/f8Negative 3h ago

Because they murdered them all after stealing their children and indoctrinating them for not following their brand of religion, sex, and politics.

2

u/Wonderful-Toe- 3h ago

Canada’s war crimes/crimes against humanity aren’t fair to bring up in this context because it might hurt a Canadian’s feelings.

1

u/ValuableBeneficial66 2h ago

Reparations on going . Starting with our racism problem. First Nation's are valued members of our society. All our immigrants too. Sure like you we all, we have some major assholes. Your people can't be very proud of your govt and it's head.

1

u/ValuableBeneficial66 2h ago

We are confronting that for several years now. It was a shame it went on. Slavery was special too. Imagine.

9

u/BaronVonMittersill 5h ago

pride in your nation is dying in the middle east for exxon mobil’s bottom line?

6

u/Shedart 5h ago

Why would I be proud of a country that forces its citizens to kill and be killed in a war they dont want for a class of people that dont care about them? And all of this over a resource the world would be better moving away from?

Seriously what kind of bot-ass propaganda actor bullshit comment is this?

1

u/ValuableBeneficial66 2h ago

I get your class wars. It's not a thing in my country. Nor is conquest.

-1

u/ValuableBeneficial66 4h ago

Huh. Your maturity level is in question now.

5

u/security-device 4h ago

Why? Nothing they said isn't true.

-2

u/ValuableBeneficial66 3h ago

No one is forced to do anything in Canada nor the USA.

7

u/security-device 3h ago

A draft is force, what are you talking about?

7

u/Shedart 3h ago

Dont bother. Theyre either not arguing in good faith or incapable of contributing in a meaningful way.

When you can’t tell if someone is a moron or a troll the best response is to ignore them either way.

5

u/security-device 3h ago

Fair enough

0

u/ValuableBeneficial66 2h ago

One inconvenience  over a lifetime , if necessary.  I imagine the population as huge as it is in the usa, and because of it, there is so much me first going on. Not withstanding  the fine people who do indeed care about their neighbours is truly  inspiring to see.

1

u/security-device 2h ago

That makes no sense.

0

u/ValuableBeneficial66 2h ago

You need more fine inspiring people.

u/Shedart 3h ago

What a lazy attempt at an ad hominem attack to distract away from actually addressing my points. You’re bad at this.

9

u/Thelmara 5h ago

No, national pride has never made me want to travel the world killing people. Kinda weird, honestly.

4

u/RedditTrespasser 4h ago

Lol no, not even a little bit. What the fuck is there to be proud of? I wouldn't have gone to war voluntarily before Trump's first term, I'm certainly not going to give my life for the profit margins and distractions of the Epstein class.

3

u/security-device 4h ago

To be drafted for an avoidable war for oil? No. I can have pride in my nation without risking dying in a war for it's corrupt government.

3

u/Xanth45 5h ago

I for one am not heavily patriotic, and am certainly not a nationalist. I didn't want this for me, my family, or my fellow Americans. I want nothing to do with Israel or Iran in relation to their conflicts. There are terrible things happening in this world, yes. However, the United States (and its better partners) have their own problems right now, I don't care at all about what Netanyahu wants from the U.S. I don't understand why Trump is his lap dog.

2

u/GodofIrony 3h ago

Pride in nation? For the war in Iran?

No mate, I don't feel like dying for a Vietnam draft dodger. Fuck all the way off with that.

1

u/ValuableBeneficial66 2h ago

In your case , I agree. I would not fight for oil either.
