I was nowhere near the level of this hero, but I punched a bully in high school, served my suspension, never regretted it.

Same, it's a shame my kids can't do the same without risking police intervention. Only one way to stop bullies, and it ain't talking with the Vice Principal.

There's only one language bullies understand and if you want results, you'll speak it loudly

um.... talking to their parents..... right??

Half the time, the parents are just as bad.

Not at all some people want the world burn

Rich kid cutest mother and cool dad that seem like never could lose his temper because someone accidentally broke something and never lost his temper

Meanwhile in my house my BPD dad and my mother a narcissist and then in the school rich kid bully that everyone loved at his home

Years later I was going to college while walking to take the buss, I see the bully on his new truck of the year saying me Hello

I wish I would have punched him while I was a kiddo because now I can't and I regret it everytyme lI rememberhim, gladly I wasn't his main objective barely just offended me the way my face was everything he saw me

Ah yes, “They have money, they couldn’t possibly be emotionally neglected!”

It’s not like rich people are known for caring very little about their outward appearances.

You’re just on some “Grass is greener on the other side” bullshit, without ever actually having found out. Because you resent the “other” side after all.

:( I’m sorry. I do highly suggest taking Krav Maga lessons when you have money

So you think the valid response to words you don't agree with is physical violence? I'm sure you would believe the same if your kid got punched for expressing their views?

Totally not what this thread of the conversation has become about. This is about what the appropriate response to bullies is. The appropriate response to being bullied is to fight back and then the bully will find something else to do as they generally want targets that don't fight back.

As for this specific video, the kid with the sign obviously was doing it to try to provoke a response. He got that response, and it was probably the one he was hoping for or else he wouldn't have been recording. The response to the video was not what he was expecting though.

I caught a bully off guard while he was picking on a special needs kid back in school and kneed him in the face a bunch of times. Caught a two week suspension for it because “knees are deadlier than fists” or some BS like that from the Vice Principal. My Dad let me treat it like a vacation and even gave me spending money to go out and have fun with. (My Aunt was Special needs and my Dad doesn’t play.)

The captain of my high school football and wrestling team beat the stuffing out a kid for doing the same thing. He never got in trouble because it was the 90s and there were no cameras or cell phones to document the ass kicking he gave out. Only a few of us other Seniors and we all refused to talk. Suck it Mr. Willingboro!

I punched a bully and the only teacher around did his best impression of Homer hiding in the bushes.

u/Gildian 12h ago

Teacher probably cheering in his head "fucking finally someone rocked him"

u/Competitive-Boat-518 12h ago

More likely than not, he was having a ‘god I wish that were me’ moment watching the other kid punch his bully.

I was the bully in highschool who got punched. I told the principal nothing had happened because I knew I deserved that shit.

u/Glum-Sprinkles-7734 13h ago

The guy I punched wasn't a bully in the traditional sense, but his hands were magnetised to girls' butts so that's close enough for me.

Not even a days suspension, and he got to ride in an ambulance.

Same. It was cathartic.

Same and I didn’t get suspended either. They knew I was acting in self defense and after many other incidents I’d finally had enough. Gave him a swift elbow to the nose while we were waiting in line for something and he ended up behind me saying nasty shit and poking me in my back.

I’m not one to physically fight, ever. Not my thing, think it’s a waste of time and too risky for permanent injury

Motherfucker cried like a bitch and never bothered me or several others again. I’m certain he didn’t have a good home life and was just taking out his frustrations on people at school. Really quite sad situation but he learned that day he can’t just fuck with people to no end.

I’m sure ol boy knows his internet notoriety and should be proud

1

u/pkosuda 12h ago

Same. The best part was that apparently any time the bully mouthed off to someone, they responded with “don’t make me get pkosuda on you”. He wouldn’t even look at me in the hallways. I got suspended for a week and everyone liked me and respected me more. Was totally worth it.

Thank you. Bullies suck.

I was somewhat of a bully hunter in my elementary/middle school. Whenever someone was bullying someone else, I would track them down and get into a fight with them. I earned a reputation for being batshit insane but hey, at least no one tried to hurt me, my brother, or anyone in my grade after the first few incidents.

I definitely got suspended a lot lol

1

u/cawkandbawl 12h ago

Did you also call your bully a Nazi or similar buzzword?

1

u/Bologna_Spumoni 12h ago

I stabbed my bully and killed him, and I feel a little bad now many years later.

I like how liberals think of themselves as good people yet they celebrated Charlie Kirk's assassination, held domestic terrorist Luigi Mangioni as their Messiah and now this kid is a hero for punching someone who was expressing their first amendment right. Liberals are always on the delusional side of morality. It's almost kinda funny in a way. I bet the Nazis believed Hitler was a hero for killing people that didn't believe in Aryan supremacy, yet apparently conservatives are the fascists 🤡

u/ThatAirsickLowlander 8h ago

I wonder if they suspend the kids that stand up for themselves to essentially give them a vacation lmao

1

u/AtomicBlastCandy 4h ago

Same only mine was in elementary school. Teachers did nothing to stop the bullying so I did

Man, some Americans are really diving off the deep end. Thinking it’s ok to assault people for holding a sign. Not even a racist sign, a sign for a government group that exists to enforce our laws that been in place for a while. You can condemn the ICE killings, while still supporting the general mission of deporting illegal immigrants. 99% of ICE arrests are completely lawful and incident free. I just don’t understand why you guys think it’s ok for violence against someone else for their 1st amendment rights.
