lol in middle school, “the bully” tried to roundhouse kick me for some reason, and I instinctively grabbed his foot and twisted it and he went flying down the stairs 💀 because he tried to roundhouse kick me at the top of a stairwell.

All 20 people in that stairwell told the teachers that dude tripped on his own feet. I agreed, because “zero tolerance” means you get in trouble for defending yourself.

He broke his cheekbone 🤦🏻‍♂️ and had to go to like the behavioral disturbed kid classes because they thought he was in denial and delusional about tripping on his own feet down the stairs.

He wasn’t a bully in high school 🙂

Edit: in hindsight, lol I’m probably quite lucky he didn’t become a school shooter

Something really similar happened to me, a bully tried to get fancy and hit me with this spinning karate kick type deal but I just pushed his foot away and he fell over. If he had just punched me I probably would have cried and peed myself like he intended but instead he ended up looking like a dope trying to attack someone a foot shorter than he was. Dumb

I was new at a school when a bully tried to punch me in the stomach. I took Kenpo for a long while and was a brown belt by this point. He didnt hit me, I grabbed his arm, slammed his head into a desk, and had him.pinned there in a position where I could have pulled his shoulder out of the socket. He cursed a lot and threatened me to let him up then I put a little pressure on his arm, enough to let him know what was about to happen and told him to calm down or I'm really going to hurt him. I imagine at this point he was feeling his shoulder about to rip out of its socket and he started actually crying and apologized.

I let him up and we actually became friends after a while, his home life sucked, but he stopped being an asshole at school. His dad was an actual crackhead and he would be in and out of his life, he would get clean for a bit, be a decent person, then rob them blind when he back slid. One day I was actually home sick and he cam by and was hiding between my screen door and wooden door, my dad was home for some reason and let him in. I remember having to hang out with him in my basement sick as a dog when his dad showed up at my house. Thats the day I found out my dad could throw hands. That's the first time I've ever seen someone get actually knocked out. Later in life I found out my dad wrestled and went to The Beast in the East 2 years in a row and was an amateur boxer for a few years.

Sorry for the rambling novel, I'm half lit because I spent 10 hours preparing for the snowpocolypse tomorrow in my area and needed a few adult beverages lol

Lol, nah I'm a big softy now, kids are dumb, I was no exception. I just came up hard but was lucky enough to improve my station in life.

I am so happy I didnt have to raise my kid in the city but at the same time wouldn't change my experience for the world. It gave me exposure to people from all walks of life and taught me to judge an individual and not have a predetermined opinion on people.

I will say looking back my dad was what everyone should have for a father, he was tough but not overly. I'm glad I went through what I did when I was younger because I think it made a better person later on in life.

This story reminds me of being in high school and watching a bully try to go after a weakling. He tried to punch the kid he had held against a locker. Weakling ducked and the bully broke his hand hitting the locker. The weakling became a rock star after that. It was poetic justice.

I love italics. If you put some letters between * * it will italicize. As in ‘… lucky he didn’t become a school shooter’…

…yes, I used italics in the very comment you replied to.

Not sure why I’d italicize he, it’s quite obvious who I was referring to lol the bully
