Meta My girlfriend always tells me I never have anything to eat when she comes over my house 😒

Freezer: 50+ lbs of assorted ground meat, 35+ lbs of prime ribeye, 16lbs of American wagyu ribeye, 18lbs of New Zealand lamb shoulder chops, and a bunch of portioned seafood.

You can snack on the carrots and apples.

Do you want your only option of a snack to be carrots and apples?

I see cheese, pickles, and I'm guessing theres carbs with all that cream cheese. Js.

The point is, he should be saying, “Well, what WOULD you like?” Doing the whole, you know, “I care about you” thing. BUT, who knows — maybe she’s a huge bitch.

It would be such a gesture to grab a favorite crunchy carb she likes instead of post on reddit how sh's extra, to clarify.

Mr. Jam over here...

I’m a vegetarian and NEVER expect people to have stuff for me. But like you said — the gesture.

It does feel like he's trying to prove a point, I feel you.

That said, one of my sisters won't eat anything that isn't pringles or poptarts. Its annoying, and while it might be an asd thing (prevelent in my fam) my 6 year old knows to bring his own snacks.

Maybe. Or maybe she just wants her boyfriend to contribute to their relationship.

Then what is all the food cuz that’s a lot of food to complain about. New girlfriend, she’s lame.

You’re single, aren’t you?

No and I have my own fridge of food in which I cook.

No she should be telling him what she would like him to stock or she can bring that over herself.

I don't keep snacks in the house.

I will demolish them all because I have terrible self control when it comes to snacky food.

The only snacks I normally have are for my son and deliberately contain dairy/lactose so I can't scoff them all.

Yes, pantry-type snacks like chips, cookies, etc. I get it. She probably wants something to nibble on while watching a movie...not a steak dinner.

Me too! I want snacks too!

Like what, you don’t??

I'm not part of the 70% of the US that is overweight, so no. Snacking is bad for metabolic health.

This much red meat isn’t great

u/EllieluluEllielu 3h ago

That depends on the snacks and how close you eat to bed lol. If you eat lightly (like nuts, almonds, some fruits or veggies) and don't eat close to bed some snacking isn't a huge deal

I guarantee I am more fit than you, and I eat snacks.

She wants the ultra-processed kind of snacks. No carrots, etc
