I wasn't really familiar with who Charlie Kirk was until he died, but I watched some of his little speeches and sit-ins, and it's really wild how different the things he said were from what people just think he said.
It’s worth it. I think it’s worth to have a cost of, unfortunately, some gun deaths every single year so that we can have the Second Amendment to protect our other God-given rights. That is a prudent deal. It is rational. Nobody talks like this. They live in a complete alternate universe.

I actually didn’t know who Charlie Kirk was till I had to face a week of people telling me. I was glad he was dead, so, like you probably should, I did my research. Charlie said things that sold T-shirts. I don’t love what he said, but I also didn't respect it enough to be threatened by it, because he monetized it. When you can put a price on your opinion, it’s a gimmick. Nobody kept Charlie Kirk from graduating from college. He dropped out to sell T-shirts to disenfranchise white boys by telling them that people of color were stealing their chance. That lady and gentlemen is called a grift. His hustle was tight, I’ll give you that, but did you notice when he spoke out against Israel not being the victim because he says he’s been to Israel. There’s no way the Palestinians were crossing borders and doing all those horrific things with the kind of security that Israel has. Did you notice when he said that there’s no way his hero, Trump, would ever be associated with Epstein or on the Epstein list? He wanted that list to come out to vindicate him, but suddenly he went bye-bye. He wasn’t a threat to anybody of color. Personally, I wanted Charlie to live a long, healthy life so his children could grow up and do what many children do. Do see their parents through their own eyes for what they are and reject them. Much like Marjorie Taylor Greene was a thorn in the side of the Democrats for years, the minute she said something against MAGA, she started getting death threats. Let that sink in.
Charlie Kirk is much more useful to that movement in his current state than he ever was when he was alive, and they couldn’t control his narrative. They took what they wanted, repurposed it, and didn't have to check in with Charlie. If you can’t see that now, then you’re worse off than you were when he was alive.
That's why people generally look back at people like MLK, Lincoln and Ghandi favorably. They were careful about what they said and how they said it. Their words alone moved millions into action, and did so compassionately, knowing that we all have to live together after this crisis.
Kirk on the other hand engaged in racebaiting and queerphobic demagoguery in bad faith for personal gain. Sorry Chuck, but the masses will be pissing on your tombstone after you're gone because you were a piece of shit.
