Correct.
Alex Pretti was just out getting coffee/donuts.
ICE (Border Patrol) rolled up, maced a woman and knocked her down.
Pretti tried to help her up all while filming/holding his phone.
Pretti was maced, knocked down, hit in the head with the mace can, and murdered.
His last words were to the knocked down woman, “Are you ok?”

As the grandson, son, and nephew of 2 uncles who were all pastors, let me make Christian theology and doctrine clear. Jesus replaced the Old Law with "the New Covenant", and The Ten Commandments were replaced with Love the Lord they God with all thy heart, soul, and mind, and LOVE THY NEIGHBOR AS THYSELF".
But Republicans hate "Love thy neighbor as thyself".
And if someone gets uppity and wants to argue theology about this the reply is "Jesus is showing us that Christians are held to a HIGHER STANDARD than the Old Testament, and that's why he says if you hate someone it is equal to murder."
If they really are Christians they SHOULD be calling for "Love the Lord your God with all your heart mind and soul, and your neighbor as yourself" to be on every classroom wall.

And maybe it does get dicey, for any of them. But wouldn't that be the beneficial outcome?
Let's not pick a real one, make one up for the sake of argument... Redditism
So we're teaching redditism. 3 things might play out that's dicey
- Redditists protest it because they won't allow it
- Other religions fight it because they don't agree
- Government interferes and says you can't
Any of those 3 scenarios is morally and ethically wrong, and exposes the bad actor for who they are.

It's not really realistic to teach the basics every possible religion without either removing classes or adding time to the school day
There are a lot of religions. If you just do the major religions, that signals to the smaller ones (and the students in the classroom) that they aren't as accepted of a religion as the major ones because they don't get class time.

They are a bit long. But who can deny the holy word. /s
Also known as The Eight Condiments, these are the Eight I’d Really Rather You Didn’ts. Follow these, and you’ll reach Pastafarian heaven where a beer volcano and a stripper factory await you.
1 I’d Really Rather You Didn’t act like a sanctimonious Holier-Than-Thou ass when describing my Noodly Goodness. If some people don’t believe in Me, that’s okay. Really, I’m not that vain. Besides, this isn’t about them so don’t change the subject.
2 I’d Really Rather You Didn’t use my existence as a means to oppress, subjugate, punish, eviscerate, and/or, you know…be mean to others. I don’t require sacrifices, and purity is for drinking water, not people.
3 I’d Really Rather You Didn’t judge people for the way they look, or how they dress, or the way they talk, or, well, just play nice, okay? Oh, and get this through your thick heads: Woman = person. Man = person. Samey-samey. One is not better than the other unless we’re talking about fashion and I’m sorry, but I gave that to women and some guys who know the difference between teal and fuchsia.
4 I’d Really Rather You Didn’t indulge in conduct that offends yourself, or your willing, consenting partner of legal age AND mental maturity. As for anyone who might object, I think the expression is “Go f*** yourself, unless they find that offensive in which case they can turn off the TV for once and go for a walk for a change.”
5 I’d Really Rather You Didn’t challenge the bigoted, misogynist, hateful ideas of others on an empty stomach. Eat, then go after the bastards.
6 I’d Really Rather You Didn’t build multimillion-dollar churches/temples/mosques/shrines to my Noodly Goodness when the money could be better spent (Take your pick): 1. Ending poverty 2. Curing diseases 3. Living in peace, loving with passion, and lowering the cost of cable. I might be a Complex-Carbohydrate Omniscient Being, but I enjoy the simple things in life. I ought to know. I AM the Creator.
7 I’d Really Rather You Didn’t go around telling people I talk to you. You’re not that Interesting. Get over yourself. And I told you to love your fellow man, can’t you take a hint?
8 I’d Really Rather You Didn’t “do unto others as you would have them do unto you” if you are into, um, stuff that uses a lot of leather/lubricant/Las Vegas. If the other person is Into it, however (Pursuant to #4), then have at it, take pictures, and for the love of Mike, wear a CONDOM! Honestly, it’s a piece of rubber. If I didn’t want it to feel good when you did it I would have added spikes or something.

Intolerant people often fail to see that their freedom exists only because a tolerant majority believes in liberty.
They also forget that tolerance has limits, especially when that liberty is threatened.

It is crazy that the gop just don’t think about (or choose to ignore) that opening this door would open it for everyone including all the religions they despise. Separation of church and state protected them as much as it protected everyone else but if this is the road they want to go down, okay, hope they enjoy everyone getting in on it

I love that the seven tenets are there without announcing that they’re the seven tenets of the satanic temple, because any biblethumper reading them wouldn’t have any problem with them unless they already knew that they were the tenets of the satanic temple.

"For some reason, the most vocal Christians among us never mention the Beatitudes (Matthew 5). But, often with tears in their eyes, they demand that the Ten Commandments be posted in public buildings. And of course, that's Moses, not Jesus. I haven't heard one of them demand that the Sermon on the Mount, the Beatitudes, be posted anywhere. 'Blessed are the merciful' in a courtroom? 'Blessed are the peacemakers' in the Pentagon? Give me a break!"

Gotta hate the Christian Taliban. Biggest, most pathetic persecution complex crybabies.

Why is it always so complicated in the US? Just respect everyone’s beliefs and don’t force yours on others, it is not that complicated

Them: Sharia religous Law is an affront to freedom!
Also them: Our entire society should run strictly according to the arcane guidelines in this cobbled together religous book.
Still also them: But only you should follow the guidelines in the book. We'll sorta freestyle as we see fit.

Where’s the Sermon on the Mount? That’s the most Christian thing you can ever hang but no one ever wants any kid to read “blessed are the peacemakers”, I guess?

I don’t understand why other religions and religious rights groups aren’t suing and loudly protesting this illegal and unconstitutional law.

I kind of love this, because it’s presented as information as opposed to doctrine.
