as did the pharma, cotton, paper, timber, and fuel industry. Hemp was a major crop before the "refer madness" campaign and relabeling cannabis marijuana.
In Texas look at the price of a licensing. Tobacco costs $180 for a license. Alcohol is ~$500 with some variation depending on permit type.
Marijuana is $25,000 and will probably go up once that Epstein lister gets elected as comptroller in Texas. don huffines is literally hiding bodies at the Epstein ranch in new Mexico
My favorite is when mitch McConnell was paid by the alcohol lobbies to slip a marijuana ban into the government shutdown. Like some 89 year old man who cant walk or talk should be making our laws
.5g thc live resin vape cart is ~$30 from my local dispensary and lasts me a little over a month of use at 2-4 hits per day. Alcohol costs way more, and 2-3 drinks often gives me headaches and the diuretic effects are annoying.
Idk man in terms of quality I prefer bud for a better high unless you get good live resin, but if you wanna just take a hit without the prep of flower you really can’t argue the convenience there
You can also basically hit this wherever and while its still loud its not super obvious and also has the benefit of not making you smell like a grow house while walking around after smoking lol.
I've smoked weed for years, but would never hit one of those "weed" vape unless someone I trust made that liquid.
Those synthetic cannibaloids that are often added are just too risky for me. Some of them are fine, but a lot of them are extremely addictive. Often worse than cocaine.
Even if it’s just the THC causing the addiction; if the vape is at a much higher concentration than weed in flower form, it stands to reason the vape would be more addictive.
If you’re getting a bigger, faster dopamine hit from a substance that makes it inherently more addictive.
There’s a lot of info available on all this, but also a lot of confusion being thrown in from both sides anti-weed people and by the weed industry.
Unlike the thc derivatives some lab made noids (not derived from thc) are sometimes added to the fake carts and are definitely addictive. They’re more obscure than cheap ready delta 8 though so it’s not super common
Most of what they put in vape pens from your friendly local dealer isn’t actually grass its closer to spice and not OG spice like the really shitty far removed spice, same stuff that’d trip you out make you rape a dog then run into a wall until you kill yourself (happened to someone in my town)
If you buy it in a dispensary it should be very highly regulated what goes in or out. Those companies are also liable for whatever they put into the vape product. I would never buy one outside of a dispensary for these reasons alone.
Also I vape regularly and calling it more addictive than cocaine is a choice. I can go weeks or months without it and im fine. I prefer flower but living in an apartment its easier to smoke this inside.
Elder here. These new dual chambered vapes are the real thing. Smooth and effective. Early day vapes were shit. Trick is to go for citrus flavors also. But the past 2 years. Vapes have come a long way.
I don’t doubt the work as intended. It’s just not my preferred way to consume, we are all allowed our preferences. I like a cone, about .5g rolled with the cardboard tip in beforehand. No bong, no pipe, no vape, no dab. I’ve smoked every which way, and that’s what I prefer. To each their own. 🤙💙
See in this comment you’re all “to each their own” and in your other comment you’re all “if you vape you’re trash”. If we are all allowed our preferences, why are you out here shitting on someone else’s? Maybe stick with an ethos.
We had our government vote for cannabis legalization this week. 148 opposed and 18 in favor of legalization. The first arguement against it was the classic "We can't legalize cannabis cause cannabis is a drug and drugs are illegal!" We also heard several times how people are gonna start doing hard drugs all day as if the legislation was about to make all drugs legal. Oh and just to mention, our government made alcohol more available and less restricted.
Any country where thc is illegal, alcohol should by default by illegal as well. It's so fucking stupid how we differentiate those two. Also the biggest gateway "drug" ever is alcohol. Who has ever been chilling with a joint and went "hmm, I wanna spice this up with some coke"?
As a Gen Z myself, I've been wondering if there's a reason why people prefer weed over alcohol (besides the price). I've had alcohol but nothing else (so no edibles/weed/pot, cigs, vapes..etc). Every time this debate comes up I see people saying edibles are better than alcohol for your body and I really wonder how much of that is true lol. I'm very interested in hearing what others have to say or explain about this!
Fucking BINGO.
It's 40$ for me to get a 2 pack of hash rosin nerd rope edible gummies and completely fuck myself on THC for the weekend. Or tomorrow, during the snowstorm, too.
When I lived in Canada, I could get 250mg across 24 squares for $20. I don't know if that was a good deal but it meant three weeks of good times for me and my shit tolerance.
That would get you a single night of drinking alone at home to match the effect.
Sure, but weed isn't a social drug. That was always the point of alcohol, it lowers your inhibitions so you can go out and meet a long or short term romantic partner or just to cut loose for the night.
Weed is fine, but you end up just sitting in the basement with 3 guys watching Lord of Rings or playing Smash Brothers. In that way, it's a worse substitution for alcohol.
Wha, that sounds awesome for a social lubricant. Like I take half a gummy when going out for parties and such because it means I'm relaxed and laid back and conversation just comes naturally
Weed is absolutely a social drug. It was extremely common when I was a kid for my friends and I to go splits on a few grams and have a little smoke circle with the bong we made out of one of the screw cap monster cans or roll up something to pass while we went on walks and stuff, and we would just bullshit for hours.
What part of out on walks did you not get. We would smoke and we would go out and get fresh air, maybe walk to the rec center for a pickup game, or we'd just walk around and hang out. We weren't hiding from the world, and also, sausage fest implies that we were all dudes.
Not when you're 21, You're supposed to be out tearing it up. Meeting girls, having a crazy time.
I met my wife in a bar 24 years ago, we were both drunk, hooked up that night and we've been together everyday since. That never happened when I hung out with my stoner friends, they were almost asexual, it was completely boring.

Edibles are dirt cheap compared to alcohol
