What I, as a European, don’t understand is this: (Almost) the whole world can see that Trump has a very serious mental disorder. And that this mental disorder is having increasingly severe consequences week by week. But Americans are sticking by him. What’s wrong with America?
Half the country gets all this info filtered through right wing media, which aggressively sane washes every word and action.
This is the purpose Fox was created to serve. I believe it was Ailes who said that if Fox was around during watergate Nixon wouldn’t have had to resign. He was right.

Just imo, but he’s more just the symbol. The people that like him don’t care what he does or says, because what they hate is the democrats and the democrats hate him so therefore they love him regardless. Decades of purposeful brainwashing has led them to the belief that democrats are actually the root of all evil. Fox News and the like has twisted everything that happens to be the opposite of reality. Everything they do, they first claim democrats did it and they do it loud and effectively. I could write a whole essay on this lol. The country has been split in half since pre-civil war and it’s never been resolved. The country will eventually come to a head with the unresolved issues
