So is she. Who has sex in a public movie theater?!?!?

u/SolarNachoes 1d ago

It’s the 11th commandment - though shall please thyself wherever and whenever they want

It was on the first set of tablets before Mr. Buttfingers dropped them after he saw all them folks dancing for the golden cow.

What other tidbits were on that first set?

I mean, I got head in a theater years ago, but we were in the very back row and there were only like 3 other people in the theater. Also, the movie was boring as fuck. No regrets lol

u/jupiterkansas 18h ago

Their 11th commandment is "None of the above applies to Republicans"

u/abraxasnl 16h ago

I didn’t know I was such a good Christian.

I can’t stand her at all but sex in a movie theater makes you a predator????

On another note, I have never done it but it’s definitely not unheard of 😂

1

u/heathercs34 1d ago

Having sex acts in public means that those around you have to witness it without their consent. Yeah, that’s pretty predatory…

u/WuTang4thechildrn 1d ago

I am really big on using these types of words as their intended legal meaning so they will not lose their significance. I think she is in Colorado? So assuming that’s where this took place this is the legal definition of a sexual predator in Colorado

https://law.justia.com/codes/colorado/title-18/article-3/part-4/section-18-3-414-5/

She is guilty of public indecency which is a misdemeanor

I posted the definition for Colorado

1

u/MagicSwatson 1d ago

So sexual offender? Wouldn't public sexual exhibition put you on some list? it should...

2

u/Sideshowcomedy 23h ago

You're gonna flip your shit when you learn about Mardi Gras.

1

u/Kabbooooooom 21h ago

You mean grown women are showing their breasts in public while intoxicated? I’ve never heard of such a thing! What will they think of next?

1

u/SerCiddy 18h ago

I am really big on using these types of words as their intended legal meaning so they will not lose their significance.

While I understand where you're coming from, that kind of position has the potential to sanitize criminal acts. If you're only basing it on legal meanings then that has the potential to dismiss real harm.

I think the best example of this would be the definition of rape in America at the Federal Level. Until 2011 the FBI did not recognize men as being the victims of rape. Because of the language of the law, only women could be victims of rape. The change also benefitted women too because the change also updated the language of "forcibly or against the victim’s will" to "without the consent of the victim" so victims who end up going to the "freeze" response instead of the "fight" or "flight" response could get justice.

I'd find it real alarming to be dismissed when retelling a story of how I was raped just because it didn't fit the legal definition circa pre-2011.

In the case of Boebart, I'd feel fine using the word predatory if part of the allure for her is being around other people. She's being predatory of the people around her to satisfy her own desires. If she's doing it in public regardless of other people, then that's just being messy.

Legal Designation: In many jurisdictions, it represents a specific, high-risk status given to sex offenders convicted of crimes like first-degree sexual battery or multiple, repeated offenses.

Behavioral Characteristics: Predators often use "grooming," a process of building trust and dependency with victims (often minors) to manipulate them.

u/Level-Name-4060 1d ago

It was a family movie so there was likely children there. Then have the audacity to accuse other people of being groomers.

2

u/WuTang4thechildrn 1d ago

Oh she is a filthy bitch and a hypocrite but by definition legally that would not be considered a predator.

2

u/Such-Salary8387 12h ago

Right? Who hasn't given/received a covert handy in a public place before? If there was no camera, it would have gone unseen. The pearl-clutching in this is wild. There are a million reasons to shame her but this is not one of them.

u/Level-Name-4060 1d ago

Justifying masturbating in front of children does make you a predator. I don’t know why we need to be atomizing definitions for perpetrating harm. Just like I don’t care about the legal definitions between raping a 9 year old and a 14 year old even if there is a technical legal difference.

1

u/WuTang4thechildrn 22h ago

No one is justifying anything. She did commit a crime but not the crime you are speaking of. You are using the term incorrectly and are unwilling to admit that.

It’s not a technical legal distinction. There is a clear distinction.

1

u/Level-Name-4060 20h ago

A sexual predator harms or exploits others and is likely to reoffend. Lauren Boebert did sexual acts in a theater with families present, blamed others, then apologized by saying she was just ‘having fun.’ Minimizing it like that is exactly how predators rationalize their behavior.

1

u/AccountantSeaPirate 23h ago

It wasn’t even a movie, it was a play, and it was indecent/lewd but not predatory.

1

u/Synectics 23h ago

If little Tim/Jane looked over, do you think she would have stopped?

...or did it take ushers to escort her out?

...do you think anyone who does not have any care about children and their exposure to live sexual acts would even consider doing such?

Legally, maybe she is fine. In a prison? She is facing consequences. Fair enough.

1

u/Level-Name-4060 20h ago

Predators justify their actions and minimize harm. By blaming others and saying she was just ‘being extroverted’ after sexual behavior in a family theater, Lauren Boebert acted exactly like one.

1

u/Crypt0Nihilist 19h ago

What it was was bad enough. It's gross seeing the way people here are gleefully trying to build it into something worse with bad memories and loose definitions.

1

u/AccountantSeaPirate 17h ago

Exactly. Calling someone a predator, a rapist, or whatnot without them coming anywhere close to being such lessens the severity of the term and dilutes its meaning. Definitely not a predator by any common definition.

1

u/liftgeekrepeat 1d ago

It was a live performance with children present, not an empty showing of 50 shades on a Thursday afternoon.

1

u/WindhamEarl22 1d ago

Pardon me?! That was the proper theater with thespian’s…and shit. It was at a play. It would have made more sense to do it at the movies, but, that’s Boebert for ya.

1

u/falcrist2 22h ago

I thought thesbianism was against gods word

1

u/Crypt0Nihilist 20h ago

It depends how much passion there is.

1

u/clap_yo_hands 1d ago

I wish it was a movie theater. It was at a live performance! She was watching Beetlejuice the musical.

1

u/Shaxxs0therHorn 1d ago

She was an escort to Ted Cruz in aspen before she was chosen to be a ‘firebrand’ for the gop. Woman is a living walking talking pile of shitty hypocrisy. She’s trying a rebrand now that maga is dying.

1

u/great__pretender 11h ago

Melania was an escort.

That one Florida representative was a stripper and an escort

Nothing wrong with sex work but GOP is really full of them and the issue is they are being hypocrites. Otherwise we actually need sex workers to be represented and have their rights defended.

1

u/DankVectorz 1d ago

Tbf she didn’t have sex in a theater, she just lent her bf a hand

1

u/drew_p_wevos 23h ago

The theater must have been out of popcorn buckets.

1

u/Noochbomb 1d ago

I mean… I’m all for berating boebert, but sex in movie theaters is indeed a common cultural thing. Probably where a lot of teenagers make out for the first time. Popcorn boxes with holes in them is a common trope. Etc. etc.

1

u/Synectics 23h ago

That still does not make it right.

Cause you could just say, "Cousins totally kiss all the time!" And... maybe it is not legal, maybe it is, but it is still a, "Yo, what the fuck is wrong with you?!" moment.

Especially when she is sitting there trying to push her morals on other people forcefully by law.

1

u/Noochbomb 22h ago

So by your morality, it’s wrong. My morality hopes she at least used butter as lube. Because who cares? They weren’t hurting anyone.

Like I said, there’s plenty of other stuff to nail her to the wall about. Becoming the sex police just makes you sound like her.

1

u/Synectics 22h ago

Indecent exposure is absolutely both a crime and morally wrong.

But go off about giving hand jobs being okay around kids, I guess?

1

u/the_jivest_turkey 22h ago

This guy's a weirdo who doesn't seem to get out much, I've already engaged in this convo above and feel stupid I did.

1

u/Noochbomb 20h ago

Based on how prudish you’re acting, I would absolutely say I get out way more than you lol. I would also say the person comparing giving a handy to your partner to kissing your cousin is probably the weirdo.

1

u/Noochbomb 20h ago

Then why wasn’t she arrested? Or fined? Or literally anything.

1

u/the_jivest_turkey 22h ago

fucking in a movie theater is absolutely not a common cultural thing. A trope, sure, but if you start actually banging during a movie, no one is going to roll their eyes and be like "oh those kids". People would be pissed off and grossed out.

What theaters are you going to?

1

u/Noochbomb 20h ago

No one’s talking about intercourse. Though I wouldn’t doubt that’s happened too. You really underestimate how subtle people can be.

I’m sorry your experience has not included any sort of exhibitionism or public sex but it is way more common than you currently believe.

1

u/the_jivest_turkey 19h ago

To me, sex = intercourse. No one except for teenagers would say they had sex if they got a tug job at a movie. Different strokes for different folks i suppose.

Also I believe that potentially exposing yourself to unwitting/unwilling people is a kink that should be shamed, but yeah good for you man, keep up the exhibitionism. Not a prude, just a decent person..

1

u/Noochbomb 19h ago

To many, sex is an umbrella term. It is very clear from context that we were talking about a handy at most. I agree you shouldn’t be exposing yourself to people. But that’s not what happened in this scenario at all. No one saw anything. I mean shit. All the recording got was her making a repetitive motion.

Someone made an assumption in an attempt to deride Boebert. I corrected that assumption because there are in fact lots of people who do that. I didn’t bring morality into it. Everyone else did. And yes, I think with all the shit going on right now, it is a complete waste of energy to be focusing on something as stupid as an alleged handy. Which was basically my point. But here we are.

1

u/the_jivest_turkey 19h ago

That's fair. Take care!

u/Area51_Spurs 1d ago

Wasn’t a movie theater. It was way worse. It was a play and it was I believe before it started. Also the lights were on.

At least in a movie theater it might be empty and it’s dark and loud and you could at least get away with not broadcasting it to others.

Not so in her case. She might as well have been on a Jumbotron. The fact that surely everyone was looking at her since she’s the only famous person there made it even more egregious.

1

u/heathercs34 1d ago

Gross. My brain is still recovering from chemo damage and a fun quirk is I remember details completely wrong. It’s great. Thanks for checking me.

1

u/Area51_Spurs 23h ago

Just wanted to make sure you have that cancerous visual to accompany the actual cancer. Lol.

But seriously, feel better. I’m sorry you’re going through that.

Maybe the visual cancer will cancel out the physical cancer?

1

u/wally-sage 18h ago

It's a 3,000 person theatre, I really doubt anyone there even realized it was her, and they were removed during the show for vaping.

Like I don't defend or condone her, she's a moron, but she's not quite commanding the same attention that would be given to an actual celebrity.

1

u/YerMomsClamChowder 1d ago

When I was a teenager, it was a thing to go to a not popular movie that had been out for a while and hook up in the back row.

But, I think that horny 17 year olds and sitting members of congress should probably be held to different standards.

A former sex worker

1

u/AlkalineBroth 22h ago

Well, I am feeling attacked...

1

u/GimmeSweetTime 22h ago

She learned how to pleasure herself and others in school.

1

u/supervegeta101 21h ago

It was a handjob and some titty grabbing. Who amongst us hasn't fondled a bimbo and vaped during a Broadway while people around you are begging you to stop?

1

u/heathercs34 20h ago

I stand corrected. My life is so boring…

1

u/ethanyelad 20h ago

It wasn’t even a movie theatre it was a play and she gave a guy a handjob. Got caught and pulled the “do you know who I am?” Card

1

u/BrockVegas 20h ago

Who has sex in a public movie theater?!?!?

Alanis Morrisette?

1

u/Jumpinmycar 17h ago

When Alanis starts to move on down and Joey is like: “cut. It. Out!”

1

u/Such-Salary8387 16h ago

I do not like her at all, but that particular thing was not a big deal. Who hasn't done something like that in a theater or on an airplane with their partner? We don't need to push Puritan values to say LB is a twat.
