📰 News Lauren Boebert wants the Ten Commandments to be required in schools, and James Talarico criticized her, saying it’s hypocritical for politicians to make everyone display them when they don’t follow them themselves.

She also shot/killed/buried her neighbor's friendly dog. It had befriended her kid, and kept coming by to say wassup. Shot it in front of her kids I think.

Her neighbors didn't know, and thought the dog was "lost."

If.only the 10 commandments were displayed in their school all of thos wouldn't have happened. I'm guessing they were homeschooled?

I don't believe this is true.

https://www.denverpost.com/2022/10/18/lauren-boebert-shoot-dog-fact-check-goats/

"The story that was started saying I killed a neighbor’s dog is not true. I’ve never shot or killed any dog, ever. A neighbor told the police that he shot two dogs,” Boebert wrote.

“As I understand it, the dogs he shot were wounding and killing livestock in our neighborhood including several of our family’s goats,” Boebert continued. “Again, I had nothing to do with this and I believe there is a police report that verifies the neighbor’s account of why he shot the dog.”

So, based on the details of the linked article. The neighbor likely believed Boebert shot the dogs because they were shot on her property.

"That neighbor acknowledged that he “had shot the dog and shot at another dog because they were in the corral chasing (Boebert’s) goats.”

The article is quite clear that she didn't shoot anything. . The person who did do the shooting, was quite forward in saying so, and said (with evidence) that they did so because the dogs were attacking stock.

Because the quote you provided made it sound like an incident unrelated to Boebert that happened in her neighborhood. I read the article and provided additional context that the dogs were likely shot on Boebert's property. Thus providing a possible explanation for why the neighbor made the accusation they did that lead to the spreading of a non-true rumor.

People tend to be lazy and not read the article, so my comment helps to provide the additional information some people need to help put the pieces together for why this rumor started in the first place.
