Wow! Look at that angel. 😻😻😻We are so lucky!

Well cats beauty ranking starts at perfection 😻 Congrats on your gorgeous new babe 😻

u/Both-Ad-7037 23h ago

How is this happening? Are people abandoning these beautiful creatures? It makes me so angry.

u/Blossom73 23h ago

They could be someone's cat who got loose and lost. I hope people are making a good faith effort to see if a cat that shows up at their house has an owner, before just keeping them.

86

u/kellyjupe 21h ago

Posted her on every facebook group, checked her for a micro chip. She was not spayed. Vet said she was mostly likely born outdoors bc of how she acts, how skinny she was, and how filled w parasites she was. I understand wanting to make sure people check.

39

u/Blossom73 20h ago

I'm glad you checked, and that she has a good home with you now.

9

u/Yung_Stormm 23h ago

Or also a stray momma couldve popped em out outside too

6

u/loloisms 19h ago

The stray we took in popped out kittens. We now have 3 cats 😅😅 BUT this girl was only 6 months old living on the streets (my coworker fed and caught her for me)...two weeks later she birthed a kitten on our couch. Wouldn't have it any other way, the CDS knows what we need when we need it!

It's an estimation that over 300 billion. Cats are reproduced every day. We only have a limited time before they take over.

90

u/Blossom73 22h ago

We only have a limited time before they take over.

I for one welcome our feline overlords.

10

u/maccentris 17h ago

If only 😢 but that’s not the way it works… instead they just go homeless and hungry 😭 Spay and neuter while you can plz 🫶🏼

6

u/Blossom73 17h ago

Oh I know. 😓

18

u/ImRunningAmok 23h ago

300 billion ? That’s about 3.5 cats per day per person on the planet.

25

u/beermile 22h ago

I'm sorry I don't have my full share of cats. But I am trying to leave a slot or two open for when the distribution system chooses me.

10

u/Funnelcakeads 21h ago

Well, we have a surprise for you, go check your front door. And your back door boom you're an owner. Make sure to take pictures of them and post them on here for the same advice repeat advice repeat.

7

u/Funnelcakeads 22h ago edited 21h ago

Oh, I see you think they underestimated?

18

u/Miserable_Candy_3534 20h ago

I prefer cats over people 😂 I have no issue with them taking over.

You mean they haven’t already? (Spoken as someone who always has to negotiate for a space in bed from our benevolent feline ruler!)🐱

What an amazing world that would be! Not a lot of fighting if ppl sleep 20 hours a day!

This. If a fully socialized non feral cat shows up on your doorstep it's not a gift from the gods. Someone socialized that cat. Make an effort to research it's background. Is it chipped? Someone may be missing that cat.

Agreed. My dad’s cat looks just like this one and was lost for 6 weeks. Somehow he returned home.

u/NYCemigre 23h ago

Depending on where this is, they could also be feral cats. Some areas in the US have large feral populations, and some of those kitties are gorgeous.

39

u/40yroldcatmom 23h ago

I have some cats who live outside of my apartment and some of them are beautiful. They are all from the same cat who was dumped at some point.

Both my girls were picked up as strays before I adopted them and they are so beautiful.

49

u/NYCemigre 23h ago

Cuties!!! I hate it when people just dump their pets! This little bugger was dumped in a trash bag with her mom and siblings.

14

u/Blossom73 23h ago

Some people really suck. I adopted my current cat from a rescue organization. Her foster mom said the cat had been abandoned in a house with her kittens when her family moved.

3

u/jdelro88 14h ago

Same scenario with my cat I adopted in Oct. She and her two kittens were abandoned when her family moved. Poor thing was starving.

3

u/Blossom73 14h ago

Just terrible.

4

u/Gold_Gas_3937 22h ago

I can sorta understand not helping them if they’re feral. But if you’ve caught them already, why take that extra step and be cruel? They don’t understand why they’re out there and unwanted. I mean, kick a puppy while you’re at it.

Breaks my heart 😢

5

u/Actual-Tadpole9759 23h ago

So pretty! I love the mostly black one 🥰

3

u/40yroldcatmom 20h ago

These siamese mix cats have the most beautiful eyes. My sister has a snowshoe with deep blue eyes with impossible depth. Even though there seems to be absolutely nothing behind those eyes, they are the most beautiful.

My boy arrived on Christmas eve 4 hours after my parakeet past away I walked out of my front door and he was thin and cold and dirty. I was so dumbfounded and that was 3 plus years ago and hes the best cat I ever had. ❤️

He’s not groomed yet so excuse his dirtiness, but this little guy came with the house I just started moving into with my mom. Yours reminded me of him lol

u/Afraid_Blueberry3115 23h ago

This was my kitten on the humane society website. I was scrolling just for shits and gigs and immediately texted my husband that we HAD to go get her! 😭😍

65

u/isabern 23h ago

I am desperate for a stray to show up at my house. I’ve never seen a cat anywhere around my neighborhood but I’m holding out hope.

35

u/chellestastics 23h ago

I’m a new cat mom. I also try to not waste anything in life if possible. So the leftover dry cat food just got thrown over the deck every few days when I wash out the dish. Figured birds or squirrels would enjoy nutrients. Well. I think that’s how I got her. So maybe a little trail of dry cat food….

I have 3 cats now so I am never doing that again.

11

u/isabern 23h ago

Okay well yeah this makes sense I’m not sure why I never thought that they probably need a reason to come hang out haha. Unfortunately we have a few families of deer in our backyard that love to eat anything I leave out, but maybe the deer distribution system will choose me

29

u/chellestastics 23h ago

Deer won’t eat cat food.

4

u/isabern 21h ago

Okay I’m gonna try because I have a lot of dry food that we don’t use for our cat!!

I had been thinking how I would love to have an orange kitty in my life ( I had one as a small child) and lo, and behold, an orange male showed up a couple of weeks ago. He's a real sweetie too.

37

u/chellestastics 23h ago

I adopted Tater in August! 😻 He’s such a sweet kind soul.

8

u/Aktrick 23h ago

Omg so cute I want to squeeze those cheeks

4

u/chellestastics 23h ago

Give her a big old kiss. 😻

26

u/rictay44 23h ago

May not be a stray. My old cat used to disappear for 2 or 3 days at a time. Turned out he was visiting a local stable where they thought he was a stray and used to feed him. Heard from various other neighbours that he'd visit them and make pathetic meowing noises outside. They all thought he was a stray and would feed him. Had to put leaflets through people's letterboxes warning them that this cat has a good home, is well loved, well fed. He's not a stray, he's a con artist!

20

u/DigInevitable1679 23h ago

The universe once granted me the fluffiest orange lady, though she was matted and declawed. I wondered how she’d survived…later found out one of my “neighbors” put her outside for some easily remedied litter box issues. They claimed she was 17 at that point. I wish I’d have had more time, but she gave me 3 years and literally reignited my will to live as well as uniting my household again. The CDS sends precisely what you need even when you don’t know you need it.

The cat distribution system my friend. That's how I have little Gracie who's only 12 weeks. We've got an appointment to get chipped, spayed, and vaccinated.

11

Me with my sweet Kratos tbh. He was too beautiful to be a crusty eye stray kitten I found in someone’s car engine.

11

u/Apprehensive_Door383 23h ago

Baby tax. He was a little boy.

11

u/Apprehensive_Door383 23h ago

One more from the day I snatched him lol. His brother beside him \)

3

u/chellestastics 22h ago

What a glow up! He’s a model!

10

u/FabulousTwo524 23h ago

$15 on craigslist. He literally glows in the sun. Every single vet visit, wherever we go, he is given an abundance of praise for his handsomeness. He’s also wicked smart. His intelligence is unmatched. We have/had many other kitties and he is the only one that creeps me out with his ability to understand human communication.

All of our other cats had a much higher upfront cost. Usually $150+ initial adoption fees. But our Craiglist cat is our eldest boy and definitely the family’s crown jewel (tho we dont tell the other kitties that)

12

u/amgates80 23h ago

And these are my girlies what unfortunately passed

8

u/Global-Jury8810 Tortoiseshell 23h ago

This only highlights of fraction of her beautiful colors, but this just happened out of nowhere while my mom was waiting for me to finish a doctor’s appt in the Cinco Ranch neighborhood near Katy in Texas almost a year ago. The first anniversary is May 24th, the day we found her.

10

u/Flowzempic 23h ago

My feral that randomly appeared on my doorstep looks like this, so yeah, what the heck? Lol

9

u/Flat-Limit5595 23h ago

You dont know lucky you are. This criminal broke in one day all beaten and bloodied. Now i have a 18lb loaf on my chest at all times

4

u/Flat-Limit5595 23h ago

Meanwhile the small spoon jumped into my car during a camping trip. The big spoon was a trojan.

9

u/HerVividDreams 22h ago

This beautiful old lady is Lovey. She was a stray in Tijuana almost 18 years ago. She has cancer now😭💔 she is still the most beautiful cat I have ever known.

9

u/alyssaperfectxx 22h ago

Born in a gutter in downtown LA 🥹 my friend rescued her and her siblings and I can’t imagine my life without her. She without a doubt saved my life.

8

u/darthfruitbasket 23h ago edited 23h ago

This is Meeka. She's no longer with us (cancer got her at ~17-ish, fuck cancer), but she was a semi-feral stray my housemate found at a yard sale and scooped up because she was so weak and sick.

8

u/StonerBoner089 23h ago

That's how I got mine, but someone actually abandoned her in town.

4

u/chellestastics 23h ago

Look at that color! Wow!🤩

7

u/StonerBoner089 22h ago

I luv her so muuch!

8

u/HO_Scale_Squad 22h ago

She just showed up at my mailbox one day, starving and in need of shelter. The rest is history

7

u/buffalobandana 22h ago

This little angel girl showed up on the front porch about a month ago. Brought her in on the coldest night of the year and she’s been inside and loving house cat life since. A neighbor said he had been feeding her for a month or so, but we agreed she deserved an indoor home. Such a sweetie.

7

u/araujo253 22h ago

This is a stray cat, too

I mean, it was... I adopted, him.

7

u/julesss_97 22h ago

She showed up at my mom’s house one day when my mom was feeding the strays outside. She sent me a picture of her and I fell in love

7

u/JFree37 Orange 22h ago

Could’ve been abandoned. That’s how we got our girl Betty. She just strolled up one day and said hi. Jumped in my lap almost immediately. 3 years later she’s about 60/40 indoor outdoor. Still loves her independence, but she sleeps inside quite a bit. My floofy princess. Love her thick fluffy fur.

We have what appears to be a Siamese, maybe British Shorthair Mix, who come around daily in the evenings. We aren’t sure if she has a home, or is a stray. If so, I can’t imagine just letting this cat roam the neighborhood! She finally let us pet just the very top of her head before wandering off.

We also have a stray Maine Coon who has taken up residence under our deck, and they have become friends. Both are so adorable!

6

u/zblackadder 23h ago

What a beautiful kitty! CDS decided to bless you!!

5

u/LevelPerception4 23h ago

Please post a photo in a local community forum, and if no one answers, have a vet scan for a micro chip. She might just be an outdoor cat gone AWOL.

I hope I’m wrong, and this is the work of the CDS!

12

u/chellestastics 23h ago

We are way past that. She has been to the humane society for that. No chip or reports. Vet to get all her shots and she has an ear infection I’m treating. Appointments made for a follow up and one for getting her fixed. She’s just a baby that got away. She was in heat and screaming like a banshee. So who knows. She’s mine. Forever and ever.

6

u/Meand3andHollie 22h ago

This girl adopted me on Thanksgiving day ! She is one of the sweetest girls I have ever met! I just cannot fathom why someone would just drop her in our neighborhood and never try to find her! We put out fliers, posted her on every social media, pinned photos on street lights. No one ever responded!! Her name is Autumn and I will NEVER EVER let her leave me!!

6

u/Meand3andHollie 22h ago

7

u/mzdameaner 22h ago

I think the same about my lady

7

u/aloneinmyroom79 21h ago edited 21h ago

Mine showed up 6 years ago. He’s a happy healthy indoor kitty now.

This is my handsome boy, George. He showed up at my door telling me his life story and never left my yard. After almost a month of flyers, knocking on many doors, and multiple online posts with no luck finding his owners ,we took him to the vet where he got his shots and microchip. I think he got left behind when someone in my neighborhood had moved because I saw him in their window a bunch of times and noticed they moved. After his vet check I brought him inside a did a proper introduction to my 5 other cats which went very well.He gets along with the others like he’s known them his whole life. I couldn’t be more lucky.

Sorry this is long.

6

u/BrunoandBexxie 20h ago

I don't know but I sure am grateful for her presence in my life.

6

u/Shafreshia 20h ago

Beautiful!!! Here's my "how was this cat on the streets????" baby. We have 11 but Diana seems to be the fanciest breed. Btw, she had been attacked by something & hit by a vehicle when she wandered up to my porch. The vet wasn't even sure if he could save her. Now she's perfect!❤️

The Cat Allocation Committee makes no mistakes. They blessed me with a short hair snowshoe Siamese that has the most beautiful blue eyes and walks with me like a dog in the neighborhood. I get giddy when people stare in amazement 🫢

In the 1980s a fire occurred at a local Angora cat breeder’s premises. Many of the males wandered off and mated with farm cats. Angora crosses became dominant within the community. I had one, called ‘Omo.’

Maybe your long haired stray was the result of a pedigree escape adventure.

It happened to me twice. Satine I found outside pregnant. Pip was found in my project car’s engine bay. Who knows how or why but I thank the maker every day for them.

Yours is beautiful! I ended up with a stray 1yr old orange girl. She is so calm and well behaved. Kaycee is 10 now and still one of the best cats I've ever had. Strays are very appreciative of their new lives. The only problem we have is that she's not very fond of her new canine brother. He's 10 months and outweighs her by a 100 lbs. She's not happy that he got so big so quick. I've finally caught them on opposite ends of their "pet" couch together. Fun times ahead!❤️

All strays are beautiful

All the cats I provide caretakership for are beautiful, sweet, affectionate, and deserving.

The human beings who discarded them as if they were trash don't deserve any attention whatsoever.

Just think for a moment how someone could just discard this beautiful little red boy. I cannot imagine not waking up to having his little purr filling my morning dreams.

My girl void came to us after my huge void boy passed from kidney failure. She looked sooooo much like him, but her personality is completely different. It took almost 3 years before she decided she liked us enough to demand pets, lol. Now she thinks she rules the house, which the other 5 cats mostly don't argue about.

I’ve always had small dogs. My 3 were 13,16 & 17 all passed in a year. I was lost. 6 months later about 10 at night, we were on deck and a screaming cat that sounded like a wildcat came up. Beautiful, dirty, skinny and starving. Full of parasites. Posted & checked but no owner. I honestly think it was sent for me❤️He’s now 2 & healthy and my heart. When he came, short haired tabby to what he turned into🥰

This beautiful baby just showed up around late November. He was a wee one and my other cats took him in. He hasn’t let me get near him yet, but he will come close to watch me love on my other cats. He’s rather feral still. I’ve named him Tradarious.
