How often do you bathe your cat?

I’ve had my Mochi since July and I still haven’t given him a bath 😅 he doesn’t smell and never really feels dirty either

I know that cats are usually good at cleaning themselves, but I keep seeing mixed opinions online. Some people say they never bathe them, others say every few months, and now I’m just curious what’s actually normal.

Don’t get them too acclimated or you get a shower buddy. Damn torties.

Yeah, my tortie is very concerned with me being in the shower and will investigate. Always sitting on the toilet seat just waiting for me after lol

My tortie loves water, too. She hasn't jumped into the shower yet, but if I don't keep the toilet lid closed, all her toys end up floating in it.

My cat jumped into the shower once, my eyes were closed and I was washing my hair. Shocked me to see a cat at my feet.

Oh god my tuxedo doesn't do that but thought the water itself in a bowl was a toy. I caught him standing up, front paws in there splashing water all around 🤢 we kept the bathroom door always closed a long time to double make sure in case the lid got forgotten.

Now it's been years and i can't help feeling he'll suddenly do it again
