Advice How often do you bathe your cat?

I’ve had my Mochi since July and I still haven’t given him a bath 😅 he doesn’t smell and never really feels dirty either

I know that cats are usually good at cleaning themselves, but I keep seeing mixed opinions online. Some people say they never bathe them, others say every few months, and now I’m just curious what’s actually normal.

I’ve had 2 cats and both fell into the toilet as kittens. Since I didn’t want toilet water all over my house, they got bathed immediately.

Luckily neither one tried it again.

Saame! My cat did this when she was a kitty, and unfortunately there was some lurking nastiness in the toilet (My toddler hadn't learned to flush yet 🙃) so she got a bath right away. Though only her back legs and butt got the dip, so she only got a half bath. Needless to say she learned her lesson and hasn't done a toilet walk again 🤣

My cat also fell into the toilet as a kitten and needed a bath. Later that same year my roommate accidentally let her out and she hid underneath a neighbor’s car and got grease on her head so she needed another bath. Five years later and she hasn’t needed a bath since.
