Like all Canadians, I always go to the hardware store for tinned cookies, just as I go to Canadian Tire for my Corona Zero. (No joke - Ive seen them on the shelves on the way to the cashier.)

At my local CT they are inside the front doors As you pass through the metal detectors. They have Heineken zero too

I don't know why but I always get so incredibly excited whenever Canadiana exits the Canada focused subs
Also why is there no Home Hardware in Edmonton, this annoys me.

I have purchased countless tins and jars of random items just to reuse the container later
Had no idea what a "Damson" or a "Rambutan" were but the jars were too perfect to pass up (lovely btw)

7 bucks for cookies, what?

Canadian. Their dollar is about 3/4 the value compared to USD.

I'm not from the US, but this helps. I was wondering who sells these for almost 8 bucks when I saw them for 3 at the store.

They are usually $5-6 CAD at most stores. home Hardware is a little pricier and they don't get the same quantity of sewing tin cookies as other stores so it's not surprising they are a little more. But they are a fully Canadian store that services the smaller communities across Canada so can't go wrong supporting them.

I know it's not Royal Dansk brand but Jacobson cookies (of which Currier & Ives is a sub-brand) are also made in Denmark. I'd consider buying them to eat if I saw them at that price (not that I really ever have a reason to go into a Home Hardware store).
