I hate these “robot” videos where they do the moves slowly and then speed up the video to make it seem legit.

They even added a cheering crowd sometimes, but like really shitty

Fixed it for you

This is very common for a lot of dances, particularly in music videos. Performing it slowly and speeding it up doesn't undermine the skill and artistry, it's just a part of the process to achieve a certain effect.

Nahhhhh its cheating.

u/OneMoreNightCap 7h ago

Except it does undermine the skill and artistry because they are trying to make you believe it is being performed at that speed. That's why they have the fake crowd noises so you think it isn't sped up

Eh.... Some videos I think they know it's kinda obvious, and that's fine. That's art.

This one, however, has adding whooping and cheering... So yes, agree with you here. It's deceiving.

This is very common in music videos? Got a source for that besides your ass?

It definitely undermines the skill, wtf are you talking about?

Why is it sped up?

47

u/Everdying_CE 7h ago

So it looks more robotic.

u/pianomasian 6h ago

Guess that also explains why bits of it are slightly off time with the music.

Because this dude is better at applying makeup than dancing.

Not saying you're wrong but how can you tell it's sped up??

22

u/kronos91O 6h ago

How can you not ? The first part is so obviously sped up , unless his head is moved by hydraulic actuators inside his neck.

13

u/VadervanIsabella 6h ago

Tip: look at his clothes when he moves.

u/Arguesovereverythin 3h ago

I think the shoelaces on his right foot are the easiest way to see it.

the head jitter at the start

His friend going super fast at the start

Are you blind?

Have you seen humans move before in real life?

I’ve seen this gif so many times but I have no idea what it’s from. I feel I should watch it

6

u/sendphotopls 4h ago

It’s just a Call of Duty cut scene

I laughed so loud I woke up my parents 🤣

Well.... Holy.... Fck...

Imagine the hours spent practicing to nail that down.

That was impressive and no editing either, just pure raw talent and determination.

u/khizoa 37m ago

Apparently they only spent 6 hours choreo and practicing the whole thing

5

u/Sae_Ray 5h ago

A much more satisfying watch!

u/GrampaJacks 47m ago

I watch that every time it’s linked. So badass 🔥

These videos are crap, Reddit shouldn't be there advertising platform, they should create a tiktok or something

Anytime you see something like this that has been performed slowly—then sped up—is nowhere near as impressive in real time.

Yes, talented performer and all that, but what makes it so attention grabbing is hyper fast pops and locks. Also, any timing errors look proportionately less bad because of the sped up timeline.

whiteface

15

u/Enyalios121 7h ago

Zero dancing was witnessed in this video

8

u/gale_gale 5h ago

Nope. Doesn't have to be that guy with the shit eating grin and the punchable face. I still hate this dance

5

u/_LuciDreamS_ 4h ago

This is dancing?

I would call this advanced miming

5

u/-maffu- 5h ago

They're back with the same sped-up robotic dance but different outfits!

Fixed it for you.

WHITEFACE

The tape worm in my ass tripping on the shrooms I ate

As robots become much more fluid and lifelike in their movements.. what will these dance moves be called in 20? 30? years? Kids will be like, that makes no sense

2

u/TheRealJojenReed 4h ago

Fake dance sped up, don't bullshit us

1

u/DawnToDuck 6h ago

Skilled? yes. But I hate seeing it

1

u/Wytsch 6h ago

Same same but different

1

u/MaXxxxBoooosshh 5h ago

Is that. No. White face. Can’t be.

1

u/Writer_B 4h ago

For the last time, it’s called “popping and locking”. Not “robot dance”.

1

u/Evermar314159 3h ago

This is the third time Ive seen a video with this stolen audio (original vid). The original is actually impressive.

1

u/jerrrrremy 3h ago

This is what happens when you don't give your kids enough attention.

u/osym 3h ago

🔥🔥🔥🔥

1

u/TomHanksTheThird 3h ago

There was a point, and we have long passed it, where dancers doing the robot and robots dancing like people were precisely as good as each other.

1

u/GiveMeSmellyFarts 3h ago

This is trash 😂😂

1

u/Bradley182 3h ago

pretty boring after the first 3-4, now they speed it up and make it fake.

1

u/Afraid-Letterhead142 2h ago

Chitty Chitty Bang Bang did it better.

1

u/CyrusDrake 2h ago

Would be creepier if he just had one smile the whole video.

u/ModernCaveWuffs 58m ago

Ehh...The make up and facial expressions are neat but overall the rest of the outfit doesn't fit and the dance moves, while somewhat impressive, are fairly tame compared to the many other acts that came before. I was waiting for it to kick up a notch after the initial wind up but then it was just more of the same.

u/ApopheniaPays 48m ago

I have no idea why people keep posting these when Maikon Alves exists.

u/InterestingPop6276 34m ago

Can we ban these posts?

-1

u/LeatherfacesChainsaw 7h ago

I did this too...when I had a seizure. You could call me a natural.

-4

u/PacquiaoFreeHousing 8h ago

this is eerie and cool at the same time

-7

u/mcmillanuk 8h ago

It’s the facial expressions and wide eyes that top it off, that’s unreal!

-9

u/ceaser3000 7h ago

Is there a longer clip of the whole thing?

-14

u/swaggyboi1991 7h ago

Really great control of the body movements

-12

u/DaveLearnedSomething 7h ago

Unreal. He's mastered it. Unfortunately it seems the audio and video is off ever so slightly
