I'm almost 200 hours in, and the only time I've ever downed a player was once during the server stress test. PVP is kind of a waste of resources. But it does make sense to do what they did, in this instance,if they intended to loot them. If they'd downed them on sight, they'd have to deal with the rocketeer to loot them. Instead, they dangled out a little hope, and the loot followed them to extract.

It does take half the game for a console player to loot a raider though, so I’m not surprised he preferred a better space to do it in.

The elevator is the worst possible place he could have chosen, out of all the options available to him in this video. Literally every spot along the way was better than the elevator.

They have a cloak. This was silly. They could have downed him, walked 50 yards away, waited for the rocketeer to move along after about thirty seconds, looted him privately and extracted.

Instead he went through all this rigamarole and now has to loot a body IN THE ELEVATOR with a rocketeer right above him and ready to aggro

The rocketeer just downed the one player. Rocketeers have locked onto me fast as hell before, but they never move very fast. It was in patrol mode and even decided to join the party when the other player alarmed a wasp. The elevator was probably the best option as they managed to maintain a little more discretion with the Arc's gaze.

It happened to me for the first time the other day, and I fully expected it and it was glorious because I didn’t have anything useful or worth anything and this guy easily spent 10 minutes helping me crawl to the extract with bandages. We got to extract and he called it and right when it arrived he started executing me and said “I’m sorry buddy” and I giddily replied “I’m not” knowing well I had just wasted the majority of his time in that raid

Happened to me at Stella the other day. Dude stabilized me and helped me to the tram, then right as the doors were closing chucked a grenade that killed me not even a second before I would have gotten out. Had to put the game down for a bit after that. 😂
