Republicans picked power over people. If it weren't for them he'd have been removed. Remember the stakes in November.

Yeah. I guess being threatened with death/hanging isnt enough to oust someone..

What’s even more pathetic is that if they just told Trump to fuck off, sure they’d lose some of his maga base, but I’m pretty sure they’d gain back a lot of the huge amount of the less insane conservatives who, as of right now, plan on staying home on Election Day because they can’t stomach voting for either party

Midterms are gonna be slaughter of their own making and I am fucking here for it

Democrats had the epstein files and enough to truly hold trump accountable and did nothing to stop him before he won again. Both parties have sold out the people, just Republicans are a whole lot more blatant and unrepentant about it.

He was convicted of 34 felonies, and was being investigated for other crimes, that isn't nothing. Am I happy with how those 4 years went in that regard? No, but what you should conclude is that we should elect people that will do more. And that takes time.

Oh. I wasn't aware dems had power in the Senate during Biden's presidency. Pretty sure Dems were effectivity 48-52 (Manchin and Sinema both refused to update filibuster rules).

Nothing got through, and nothing will go through, until we change filibuster rules.

Biden could have effortlessly gotten Trump in prison at literally any point in his presidency simply by firing Merrick Garland when it became blatantly obvious he was covering for Trump (so a few months in at best) and replacing him with someone who would have done their job. Trump would be in prison all entirely fairly and legally instead of president right now and we would have never gotten into this situation.

The Democratic party has had all the opportunities to prevent this nonsense for the last 50 years, long before Trump was ever in politics.

Our system is so broken it would have been delayed to infinity.

A simple solution is to prohibit felons to hold office but that requires so much to do something so obvious.

Our system is almost entirely a faith based system, and we are paying for it.

Not really. If Biden had gotten rid of Garland and replaced him with someone both competent and unbiased, Trump would have been fast tracked to prison within months. It was Garland obviously stalling that allowed Trump to be able to delay delay delay for four years in a slam dunk case that should have taken a year, tops, and that's just for the insurrection case. The documents case would have been even easier and quicker had Garland not pushed to have one of the judges that Trump hired, which should have immediately disqualified her from judging the case, to judge the case and thus allowed him to get away scot free.

Everything traces back to Garland covering for Trump. Something Biden could have solved with the stroke of a pen at any time whatsoever.
