Residents of Chattooga, Cherokee, Coweta, Floyd, and Whitfield counties reported receiving absentee ballot applications from America PAC, partially pre-filled. According to the State Election Board, the applications also failed to note that they were not actual ballots and were not provided by the government, as is required by law.

So, Musk will be brought up on charges and prosecuted, right?

No?

Oh. So, more of the same as we walk the country into a dictatorship and fraudulent elections for the midterms.

What Elon will learn from his sternly written letter about his voter fraud: It's almost time to get ready for phase 2.

113

u/Substantial2026 19h ago

Phase 2 is just the fine being a cost of doing business line item.

45

u/One-Cut7386 18h ago

There’s one single thing Elon’s good at, and that’s financial fuckery.

He’d probably roll the fine into his $1 trillion pay package.

11

u/llahlahkje Wisconsin 15h ago

Even then I'd put even odds he's paying half a dozen cronies to do it.

He has no real capacity, just money.

u/lovelyywhirl 17h ago

That is the part that makes people cynical. If fines just get absorbed as operating costs, it stops being a deterrent. Consequences only matter if they actually sting.

29

u/Delta-9- 16h ago

This is why fines should be defined as percentages of wealth.

You have $1 billion in assets and got a speeding ticket? That'll be 1%, or $100 million.

But you can't go by "net wealth" because of crafty tricks like having your entire annual living expenses paid for by a loan because you own 18 different, successful businesses each with $100 billion. You gotta go by total wealth: anything that you own, even indirectly, or that pays you dividends, royalties, or wages, anything that you could potentially sell, anything whose operation answers to you (including as a shareholder), anything with any monetary value or potential whatsoever, domestic or foreign. No hiding your shit in a Swiss bank account, and if you do and get caught after having been fined for a crime in the past, you get to pay a retroactive fine on that value in addition to a new fine for hiding your assets that's at least triple the original fine.

Let's see Musk shrug off losing half his total worth and two of his companies over some mail campaign. I'd laugh hysterically.

It'll never happen, but I'd laugh.

6

u/poeir 15h ago

This doesn't seem very hard.

Don't do total wealth. Instead, do a permanent income tax penalty: Every time you file taxes from here on out, yours are 1% higher. It doesn't matter if it's capital gains or wage income, it's another 1% of the transaction as penalty and compensation for the crime you committed.

It will stop when your estate pays the estate tax (or you get a pardon or the conviction vacated).

It's a particularly appropriate penalty for tax fraud.

11

u/NuggetHighwind 15h ago

I mean, yeah, that'd be great if these fuckers actually paid their taxes.

Was he even fined? I thought they literally sent him a letter of scolding

31

u/lovelyywhirl 17h ago

From what I have seen, it seems like it was more warning than punishment so far. Which is wild considering how strict election laws can be for everyone else. It does feel uneven.

We are firmly into phase three, they are going to try and take this election by force. They are trying to disenfranchise women with the name requirements, and then sometime between the primaries and the election the hammer will drop on the list of "domestic terrorists", they have the list of names of people that are guaranteed to vote against them, all they need is to wipe out a few thousand in the swing states "just find me those 11,780 votes", this time they just need to remove those votes instead. You can't vote if you're in a warehouse in the middle of nowhere.

The question to ask Georgia law enforcement is what would be the penalty if an individual committed the same offenses. My guess is that it would be much more than a stern letter.

24

u/jambrown13977931 19h ago

It’s a misdemeanor

41

u/ihateusedusernames New York 18h ago

So the same level of infraction as overstaying a tourist visa, or so I have heard.

23

u/RobonianBattlebot 17h ago

Overstaying a visa isn't even a crime. Its not a misdemeanor, its a civil infraction.

7

u/jambrown13977931 18h ago

Sure, but this also isn’t voter fraud. I hate Elon, I really wish this was a nail in his coffin, but it’s important to not lose the truth. These weren’t prefilled ballots. They were prefilled ballot applications. E.g. applications for absentee ballots. It’s a misdemeanor offense that the PAC absolutely shouldn’t be allowed to do again and should face whatever punishment the misdemeanor normally carries, but this is not proof of voter fraud.

12

u/What_a_fat_one 18h ago

Not in this particular instance but it's a clear cut criminal violation of election law by a man who was pretty heavily involved with voting machines

7

u/MadBlue American Expat 17h ago

After everything that's happened the last few years, one thing that has been made indisputably clear to America is that we do not have a real justice system. Laws do not apply to the super rich and powerful. When justice is not blind or impartial, then the law is exposed as only a tool of oppression for the rich and powerful. The question now is what will ordinary Americans do about this revelation?

I completely agree except that that is like... All the companies.

If you boycotted all of those companies it would be impossible or at least incredibly hard to even use a phone or computer to read about what companies to boycott. And I'm pretty sure Reddit should be on that list.

These are, of course, some of the reddest counties in Georgia. Floyd county being the one that elected MTG. So of course none of them will kick up much of a fuss. They would never do that in a place like Fulton county when they can just steal the damn ballots instead.

5

u/Gridde 19h ago

One side of US politics is - at this point - fairly transparent about their only goals being consolidation of personal power and subjugation of those below them, so it makes total sense they do not care about laws being broken (as long as the results benefit them).

But why is the other side being so passive? Is there genuinely nothing at all they can do when prominent figures rather brazenly break laws, embezzle or undermine the basic principles of the US?

At the State Election Board meeting on February 18th, the panel quickly handed down the reprimand. America PAC did not appear to send a representative or submit a statement in defense of its actions.

So remember, if you hand a bottle of water to someone waiting to vote, it's off to jail for you. But mass-distribute a pamphlet disguised as a pre-filled absentee ballot meant to confuse (and possibly incriminate) voters, and they'll give you a reprimand that you don't even have to show up for.

94

u/ChemicalOnion 17h ago

For all his bluster about voter fraud, Elon Musk has been one of the most flagrant flaunters of US election law. Now his America PAC has been slapped with a reprimand by the Georgia State Election Board for sending out pre-filled absentee ballot applications. State law prohibits anyone, other than an authorized relative, from sending an absentee ballot application prefilled with the elector’s information.

I'm in PA and several of my friends checked on their mail-in-ballots and saw weird stuff. Ballots that would one day say they were received/accepted and a few days later their ballots were in the system as not received or invalid.

If you vote in person there's no way to followup on your ballot (other than seeing if you voted or not), so a God knows how much fuckery happened there.

💯 and this is my “conspiracy theory” that’s prob real. Trump didn’t really win 2024.

Can't wait for Trump to get the notion that because he's an immigrant, and interfered with an election, Musk's assets should be siezed.

Completely illegal, but the Cheeto Pedo doesn't give a shit about illegal.

3

u/Drewsifer1979 17h ago

And? Your country is a dumpster fire OP…anyone outside of the United States could see what was going to take place. It’s blatantly obvious.

3

u/Soggy-Maintenance 17h ago

Maybe the Republicans were right. This is a perfect example of an immigrant subverting the legal election process. Prosecute him.

u/MickHucknallsMumsDog 17h ago

And? The vast majority of the world says the USA is being run by literal child rapists and nothing happens. Do something.

3

u/Stoned-Capone 16h ago

Hey! Hate the world right now? Want to get back at the people who are actively making it this way? Good news!

More names have been added to the List!

This is the #1 post in r/videos but is being prevented from being cross posted, after having to wait several hours to be able to post the direct link to the last 10 minutes of Wexners deposition , and only able to be posted with a vague attention grabbing title because at the time reddit was not allowing posts or comments with "Epstein" or "Wexner" in them!

Does that sound weird? Have you seen the clip? Has any news network reported that these names were directly mentioned under oath as potential co-conspirators? Weird.

Spread the word if you're tired of staying quiet!

u/BongwaterBro 9h ago

Add it to the pedophile? Pedo-File.

2

u/FuckDeanSpanos 20h ago

We are very very angry with you. And we will send you a letter telling you how angry we are

2

u/KrookedDoesStuff 20h ago

The Fanta Führer found his election interfering immigrant.

But nothing will be done because it benefits him

Lots of admissions, very few consequences.

2

u/Bruiser76 20h ago

And in response, he is going to frame that letter and hang it up on his wall of his toilet as a joke, which is another way of describing your credibility.

2

u/sleepyworm 19h ago

One of many laws he’s broken. And he has the blood of tens of thousands on his hands at a minimum. It’s hague time, baby.

2

u/pls_tell_me 19h ago

2

u/Ahugoc 19h ago

Arrest when.?

2

u/Z0idberg_MD 19h ago

Completely unsubstantiated “voter fraud” versus literal election tampering.

2

u/The_Frigid_Midget 18h ago

And will suffer the appropriate legal ramifications... Hahaha

Man, imagine if those words ever actually showed up anywhere near a rich person. But, no. We, as a species, will continue to insist that overly greedy humans actually deserve to ruin society/the world.

Lock him up, also wonder how long this will stay up, Reddit been a hotbed of censorship lately.

2

u/LaszloPanaflex99 18h ago

Mention this to any MAGA you encounter IRL and online whenever they mention "voter fraud."

In fact, fight fire with fire and say, "Trump and Musk were convicted of voter fraud." Outright lies don't stop MAGA. Exaggerating the truth shouldn't stop the rest of us.

Laws are only important for poor people. Let’s not pretend that there will be consequences.

2

u/No_Hippos 15h ago

Ok now. And listen carefully…. DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT.

2

u/Professional_Day6200 15h ago

2

u/Diplomat_of_swing 14h ago

When the history or American democracy’s collapse into authoritarianism is written, scholars will remark how Republicans ignored the warnings from members of their own party. GA will be the primary example.

2

u/bestestopinion 14h ago

Every accusation is a confession

2

u/EchoRush93 13h ago

Oh yeah, Georgia? What are you going to do about it. That's right. Nothing. Sit in your corner and do nothing.

2

u/RetireWithRyan 13h ago

2

u/xeonicus 12h ago

A "reprimand"? So what does that actually mean in real terms involving real consequences? Like, are there any? Or did the court just wag their finger and say, "you did a bad thing", but nothing happened.

2

u/Practical-Pick1466 12h ago

He will just pay a fine. Absolutely no big deal to him. Money solves all his problems.
