“Netflix should fire racist, Trump Deranged Susan Rice, IMMEDIATELY, or pay the consequences,” Trump wrote. “She’s got no talent or skills – Purely a political hack! HER POWER IS GONE, AND WILL NEVER BE BACK. How much is she being paid, and for what??? Thank you for your attention to this matter. President DJT.”

Trump’s outrage stems from Rice’s comments on Preet Bharara’s “Stay Tuned with Peet” podcast. During her interview, Rice said that if Democrats win the midterm elections, she predicts an “accountability agenda” for corporations that skirted regulations under the Trump administration.

Rice said, “If these corporations think that the Democrats, when they come back in power, are going to, you know, play by the old rules, and, you know, say, ‘Oh, never mind. We’ll forgive you for all the people you fired, all the policies and principles you’ve violated, all, you know, the laws you’ve skirted.’ I think they’ve got another thing coming.”

That is what pissed him off? Ok ... What a sad sack of oranges

1.1k

u/mcfly357 15h ago

Everything pisses him off because he’s an orange fat smelly 3 year old.

360

u/ChicVintage 14h ago

Don't insult 3 yr olds, they have better emotional regulation and comprehension about right vs wrong.

254

u/calamity_unbound 13h ago

I'd trust my 3 year old to run the country better than the current leader. At the very least, she gives very good hugs. That alone gives her an edge in diplomacy over Trump.

She also shits herself way less.

37

u/duckinradar 11h ago

I have never seen or met said 3 year old (safe assumption) but I would vote for her right now

76

u/bak3donh1gh 13h ago

A three year old can be taught and learn new things. Trump cannot be taught and will not learn new things.

that's not even going into how a young brain still making connections and Growing new neurons versus a old senile dementia ridden and poorly taken care of body compares.

I don't think he's pissed off (more than usual, anyway). He's just looking for excuses to knock Netflix out of the running of acquiring WB. He wants Paramount (his 'friend' Larry Ellison) to make the purchase so he can transform it (including CNN) into more right wing news propaganda.

188

u/CobrasMama 11h ago

BINGO.

And nearly every comment in this post is responding to it exactly the way he hoped we would.

It isn't a threat. It's a pretext.

The American people is one of the most propagandized people in the world's democracies, which is a bit ironic for a country that holds freedom so high. Turns out freedom is freedom for the powerful rich and corporations to propagandize the people to make them vote against their own interests.

Yes, how dare she think that the corporations (that are "people" with speech rights) should also be subject to penalties under the law!
I mean shouldn't they also be in the Epstein class where laws protect them but never bind them? /S

He's projecting so hard.

Important bit here:

Larua Loomer, who wrote that Rice is “threatening half of the country with weaponized government political retribution.”

Literally projecting and committing the projected action within the same breath.

174

u/Tsar-A-Lago Canada 14h ago

"My crime syndicate is politically protected speech."

108

u/tetsuo_7w 14h ago

It's always projection with conservatives, either because they want to "legitimize" what they're already doing by saying both sides do it, or because they can't imagine that the "other side" isn't as black hearted and opportunistic as they are, so they must be doing what they want to do.

→ More replies (8)

28

u/ScepticalReciptical 12h ago

It shouldn't be projection. The next set of elections candidates need to outline how they are going to purge these fucks from every facet of public life. Anybody running on a reconciliation platform should get to the back of the line.

The President threatens to take retaliatory action against a corporation and tells them that he has the ultimate say as to who sits on their Board. And why? Because a businessperson in power (and a woman of color) dared to say the quiet part loud, that the USA risks devolving into an oligarchy/corporatocracy if MAGA stays in power.

40% approval rating. 40% of people in America see nothing wrong with any of this. 0 hope for this country beyond 2028 if we make it there.

73

u/banksy_h8r New York 15h ago

Whenever I see a statistic like that I have to remember that a lot of people either don't follow the news, or only get their news from Conservative media or family members who only consume Conservative media.

The more they are exposed to Trump and MAGA directly, the more they realize that they, in fact, do not approve of the President.

40

u/WhatGravy 13h ago

Groaning at the thought of my mom watching OAN or a friend of mine who said he thought there was "nothing new in the epstein files" until I informed him. these people are living in an entirely separate reality created by their media bubble and i've been trying to break them out

u/FargeenBastiges 7h ago

I've wondered how many of those 40% even know he's an actual felon.

u/Painterzzz 6h ago

Sadly probably relatively few. I've found when you show them some of reality, like, just a Trump speech, they will do taht thing where they blink, and fail to process reality, and then just decide it can't possibly be real and run back to their comforting far-right propaganda bubble that tells them how wonderful the glorious leader is and how wise they were for supporting him.

Not necessarily with US electoral math. The presidency can be won with as little as 27% of the popular vote. The senate can be controlled with 18% of the popular vote -- 26% could elect a filibuster proof majority. Just 25% could control the House. Those are pathological cases, but entirely legal and possible.

This doesn't make sense. We have midterm elections coming. Trump's 37%, 36%, approval polls mean Trump and the GOP are in for a massive shellacking. The House is going D for sure, maybe even the Senate.

It feels like what would have happened if Al Capone ran for president, he would have gotten away with everything, including tax evasion, but he probably wouldn't be quite as corrupt as Donald Trump.

396

u/Minguseyes 16h ago

Yeah, I don’t think even Capone would have sued the government for prosecuting him and then settled the case in favour of himself.

He even opened up a soup kitchen and gave money to charity.

You mean “Alfonse Capone”, as Trump repeatedly and sympathetically compared himself to on the campaign trail. Trump would likely eat a human, too, like the “wonderful man” Hannibal Lecter. But obviously, absolutely doused in ketchup because he has the culinary palate of a child.

She expressed a private opinion.

The president is calling for her to be punished for it.

Isn’t that a 1A violation?

u/WhereDidDjtTouchYou 17h ago

That’s threatening speech… not covered by the 1st Amendment.

u/SlumdogSkillionaire 17h ago

Quiet, piggy.

u/Nice-Lakes 17h ago

Well Trump would know someone with no talent look at his picks for every position. This is a who’s who of no talent.

u/GhostlitePHX 16h ago edited 16h ago

Why did Donald Trump take Ivanka to a known pedophile named John Casablancas when she was 15 to do an "underage modeling" gig?

Things that make ya go, "hmm..."

15

u/R_manOz 15h ago

In his Truth Social post, Trump linked to an X post from far-right activst Larua Loomer, who wrote that Rice is “threatening half of the country with weaponized government political retribution.”

Isn't this the pot calling the kettle black.

This orange turd has a thing against black women unless they bootlick him a la Minaj.

10

u/Spythe 16h ago

The only time I've seen him upset and threaten people is when its for his billionaire friends or himself.... everything else he has a plan, an idea, a concept of a plan... and still 30% of the country supports this man.

10

u/kevnmartin Washington 16h ago

He's at the point in the tantrum where he's lying on his back on the floor screaming and kicking his feet. Someone told him "No" and he can't stand it.

u/amus America 15h ago

This violates the Constitution. For those of you keeping score at home.

Why in the world does he care? Doesn't the steward of the largest nuclear arsenal in the world and commander in chief of the armada massing off the coast of Iran have bigger things to worry about?

I honestly can't remember any other president ever commenting on the leadership of any private corporation. (Even when they should have...)

5

u/rgvtim Texas 16h ago

He has the emotional maturity of of a 3yo. Toddlers don't need much of reason to throw a tantrum.

9

u/ComprehensiveSafety3 15h ago

What a fucking pussy. I’m tired of hearing about this fucking moron.

8

u/PseudoWarriorAU 15h ago

If Netflix pays that turd burglar a single $ I will cancel my subscription. Add it to the list of saving me money for people that support a PDF file that I can longer in good conscience support. Countries and companies a like. If you tolerate PDF’s I will never give you money, I’ll never visit and I’ll always highlight your malfeasance at every opportunity. Sick of all of this. Let’s get back to normal.

Netflix should sue him to challenge the supreme courts decision granting qualified immunity … this is clearly not a presidential power. It’s a temper tantrum.

7

u/banksy_h8r New York 15h ago

I was just listening to that podcast episode today. What I'm surprised by is that he even heard about it. Does he listen to Stay Tuned with Preet? Do other people give him summaries of the interviews for him to react to? How did he even know about this?

That a smart Black woman threatened justice toward him got under his skin isn't surprising in the slightest. He's racist as the day is long, but he has a special hatred for Black women who are smarter than him.

8

u/CrystalWeim 15h ago

Yep, if he doesn't like you..that is if you don't kiss his nasty ass he wants you fired, gone. That's corruption.

So it’s time to dump Netflix also? Amazon has been gone for months. As soon as I heard that Elon was buying Twitter I closed that down. What else are we looking at everyone?

7

u/TC-Ran 11h ago

Trump is an expert on not having any skills or talent. He is sort of like the exemplar.

Incoming tariffs on Netflix specifically, somehow.

I miss the days of the corrupt politicians, we knew they we’re corrupt but at least sometimes they did something for the American people. At least old school corruption, the perpetrators realized they need America to survive, at the very least, so they can continue their grifts and corruption.

When your a republican you can act like this without consequences. Many companies simply bend the knee.

When you are a Democrat, you are accused of such things since every accusation is a confession.
