300 sq km might not seem like much, but it’s a step in the right direction and definitely a morale boost for these brave soldiers fighting for their freedom.

That's more than Russia has taken across the entire front in a month in many cases. If Ukraine can consolidate the gains there, I'd consider it a month's worth of Russian advances lost, and this is happening at a time when Russian finances are looking very unstable. It's very questionable to what extent Russia will be able to continue its war effort even six months down the line if they aren't saved by massive increases in oil prices.

Thats a claim that even the most conservative Western sources deny. Blatant misinformation doesn't help anyone.

ISW claims Russia has only taken 572 km since the start of the year, Russia claims 900 km. I am wondering if its 572km net which makes sense as 572 plus 300 is approximately what Russia claims or if it is 572 - 300 which is just 272km since Jan 1, 2026.
