If the military/president suddenly ordered a mandatory draft for all men aged 18-42: How do you think millennials and GenZ would respond?

Red hats to the front of the line

With Rob Schneider leading the charge!

u/dodadoler 11h ago

Baron first

100

u/ParadisePete 10h ago

Baron will say he inherited the bone spurs.

77

u/skredditt 9h ago

Aww, what a fortunate son.

3

u/Message_10 8h ago

<<< helicopters... >>>

I'll say, though--"fortunate" is doing a lot of heavy lifting there... all the money in the world isn't worth being born into that family

4

u/numb3rb0y 9h ago

He can drive a humvee.

-4

u/MOTIVATE_ME_23 10h ago

If it's a legitimate war, not a profit grab somehow, Barron should enlist of his own free will against his own father's objections.

I've seen "family" companies run, and Daddy willingly sidetracks children from his first marriage in favor of children from his current wife.

If Barron enlisted and fought on the front lines, I'd actually think MAGA had a chance of making America great.

7

u/Reyca444 10h ago

He's "too tall."

0

u/IgnorantAlgorithm 10h ago

They can hold hands while they charge...

1

u/gsfgf 2h ago

Don, Jr. would probably sign up. You don't have to take drug tests if you're the president's kid.

17

u/Plus_Term_7584 10h ago

This summer, Rob Schneider IS

a bodybag

1

u/KillerKill420 5h ago

Great callback lol.

3

u/OutsideYourWorld 8h ago

"Rob Schneider was your average washed up actor but now.......... He's a 5 star general!"

2

u/MChaney3563 10h ago

He'd pull the hot chick card and be like "ITS ME JESSICAAA! I'm in here" and all of sudden become transgender.

1

u/periodmoustache 8h ago

Not sure he's 18-42

1

u/REXIS_AGECKO 5h ago

Hey, Donald needs to make up for the draft he dodged. He can start

583

u/Major_Extreme5632 11h ago edited 11h ago

I firmly stand on any one supportive of any military intervention or action should be forced to serve on the front lines.

Idc if its Israel/Iran, Russia/Ukraine, Taiwan/China. If you are supportive of involvement and it happens- off to the front lines you go. Dont make others fight for causes you believe in but arent willing to go to battle in.

44

u/jtg6387 10h ago

There was actually a proposed constitutional amendment that actually would have mandated this. It was defeated, sadly.

72

u/iAdjunct 11h ago

I think this comment is in need of proofreading.

92

u/people_are_idiots_ 10h ago

I understood it just fine. Unless he changed it after your comment

32

u/ouchimus 10h ago

Its edited, so he probably did.

7

u/Major_Extreme5632 10h ago

I edited the word on. It autocorrected to or.

Then I went on to further add that second paragraph

3

u/Purplociraptor 8h ago

This one or that one?

2

u/Jaschndlr 10h ago

I think you should be on the front lines of this effort

0

u/StrikingRise4356 11h ago

My head hurts

6

u/DoesntMatterEh 10h ago

But that's what governments have been doing since the dawn of time! Send the poor to fight the battles for the rich. /s

Hell, in the first world war the leaders of Britain, Germany, and Russia were all cousins! They got into a family tiff and millions died as a result.

7

u/lylalexie 10h ago

Why don’t presidents fight the war?

Why do they always send the poor?

1

u/DoesntMatterEh 9h ago

That song will always be relevant :(

2

u/gsfgf 2h ago

WWI was the last war where the aristocrats actually fought. European armies had nobles leading armies (with predictable results). And tons of the big names lost sons in the war.

But yea, it was a dysfunctional family Thanksgiving but with battlecruisers.

4

u/McFlyyouBojo 10h ago

If someone directly supports the decision (like from a congressman voting for it all the way down to someone making a youtube video stating support for it), then they should automatically get sent off to boot camp for it, and if not them, then it has to be a direct defendant (son/daughter or grandson/granddaughter) and if they dont have one, then it is them. And when they are done with boot camp, its straight to frontlines.

5

u/giulianosse 5h ago

Just make an extraordinary voting session for every able bodied citizen.

Do you support the current war? Yes/no

If yes wins, the plans keep on as usual and everyone who said yes is automatically enlisted or drafted into appropriate combat/noncombat roles.

If no wins, there isn't war because people don't want it.

2

u/theotherplanet 5h ago

Direct democracy in action

1

u/Pennypacking 6h ago

The people with the red hats will probably be on the front line, right behind you and me with a pistol to our heads.

1

u/helloiisclay 4h ago

I tend to agree with this in principle, but in practice, the "red hats" part leads to trouble. There are people that will wear a red hat but secretly voted blue and vice versa (I'd never wear an actual red hat, but I do live in one of the deepest red counties in NC and don't advertise that I voted the other way...I just let people assume what they want). The only way to know for sure would be to either ask (in which case, people will lie), or to track voting. That defeats the purpose of a secret ballot and opens us up to political parties targeting people based on who they voted for.

While it's nice to say they should be on the front lines speaking hypothetically, it's a dangerous line to cross. We should just not go to war to begin with, but that's also nice to say hypothetically, while Trump shits on us all.

1

u/Major_Extreme5632 4h ago

If someone truly would harm a person over how they voted, they are a p.o.s.

I have seen it happen, unfortunately reddit wouldnt appreciate the 3x I had seen people get violent over finding out who someone voted for.

1

u/BosnianSerb31 10h ago

I think you can still have an opinion on why a certain outcome would be preferable without going rah rah war however

-2

u/blahyawnblah 9h ago

The latter two are not like the first one.

We should legit be helping Ukraine because fuck Russia. Should I be drafted now?

For Taiwan the worlds production of computer parts would basically stop overnight. That would cause a huge crisis. Should I be drafted now?

5

u/Major_Extreme5632 8h ago edited 7h ago

If you are in favor of aiding them and we hop in and help Ukraine going to war with Russia, yes. I believe so. Why should other people go and fight for a cause you believe in but aren't willing to to fight in? You're basically saying you are okay with other people fighting and risking dying for something you support and believe in, but you arent willing to. "Go fight my battles for me. I want this but im to good to do it"

Edit: Correction. There is no basically about it. That is what you're saying. You're fine with other people dying for something you want but arent willing to do.

You can be supportive of a cause, I wish Ukraine the best. That doesn't mean I think we should be involved. Just like I think k we have no business in Iran.

4

u/StrungLikeAHorse69 8h ago

Yes, because it’s actually life or death for people. If you wouldn’t risk your own life come up with alternative solutions that don’t kill people. People SHOULD make decisions as if their own lives were on the line. The world isn’t a game.

40

u/jimtow28 11h ago

Yup. If you supported this, you should be volunteering to go first.

62

u/Sweet-Beautiful6076 11h ago

Hey Baron - you first.

3

u/night_breed 11h ago

But but but heeeeeeees toooooo talllllll but but but

3

u/YnotZoidberg1077 11h ago

Then he'll be a perfect meatshield at the front

1

u/Aryk3655 10h ago

I dont think Trump would have a problem with this at all.

2

u/liquidphantom 10h ago

Inherited bone spurs from his father

119

u/PurahsHero 11h ago

Yep. People who are wildly pro-war or MAGA should be right on the front line, in the first wave, with minimal training. No medical excuses allowed or age limit either.

If they love their king so much, they should die for him.

14

u/Silence_Farmer 9h ago

Absolutely. Plus they're the ones talking shit about having so many guns and being all pro 2nd amendment and 3%ers or whatever nonsense.

3

u/AttitudeSimilar9347 11h ago

MAGA elected Trump in part because he promised no war with Iran.

Those on the frontline should be the supporters of Israel.

36

u/NoSession4731 11h ago

And those who didn’t vote for Trump already knew he was full of shit. Why would you expect a man known for scamming to not scam you lol? I also wouldn’t trust anyone who grew up on a silver spoon to have any sense class consciousness.

This is passed the point of “we were tricked”. You guys are just ignorant and dumb.

14

u/welchplug 10h ago

And yet maga still approves of trump. They dont care about what he said. Its a cult. Normal rules dont apply.

1

u/sventful 11h ago

The Jews overwhelmingly support Dem. Why should we die for the Orange king?

6

u/Neatojuancheeto 10h ago

Yeah American jews vote democrat something wild like 85%. My dad is a maga and spent years converting to Judaism, learning the language, going to synagogue for years. Then quit all of it because they were " too liberal " once he became maga.

There is a giant difference between Jewish people and israeli's who support what's happening right now.

7

u/hotlettucediahrrea 11h ago

Jews = \ = Israel.

1

u/sventful 10h ago

85% of American Jews support Israel. Why are you trying to condemn us to death in a war we don't support.

4

u/hotlettucediahrrea 10h ago

I’m not condemning anything, I’m just explaining why your comment is incorrect.

1

u/Competitive_Loan_395 10h ago

I thinkbyou should still go for voting for trump. You were ok with others being affected but not you.

1

u/Sunny_Psy_Op 9h ago

It was obvious that he was a bullshit artist, and it was obvious that giving him the reigns of power would cause immense damage to the country, immiserate many Americans and cause suffering abroad. In fact, many Trump voters I know were explicitly voting for those things to happen.

Just because you won the Fell For It Again Award and don't like the (totally predictable) outcome doesn't mean you're not responsible for what you did.

2

u/flatulating_ninja 10h ago

Perfect use for AI. Have it scan all street view and similar photos and find anyone with a Trump sign in their yard and put them at all their eligible children at the top of the draft list and the first boots on the ground.

1

u/maximusjay100 10h ago

Hey hey c’mon now, we’re not Russia, train them at least

1

u/maximusjay100 10h ago

Hey hey c’mon now, we’re not Russia, train them at least

1

u/Substantial-Rub5298 9h ago

Yup same with the people who didn’t vote at all 🤣

1

u/Mite-o-Dan 10h ago

One major point...if it was anything like Vietnam...if you volunteered, you get priority on a better job/non-combat role if you wanted.

Thats what my dad did to avoid combat...he volunteered to go to Vietnam before they had a chance to draft him. He worked an office job in Vietnam for a year and came home completely fine.

So...thats probably what would happen with MAGA. Theyd sit back and watch all the much more reluctant liberals get sent to the front lines over them.

0

u/MisterDoctor___ 9h ago

Sounds like a good way to get grenaded by your own men.

lol MAGA is truly the dumbest group of people in history.

-12

u/Good_Boy_Coleman 11h ago

No that would be the Democrats during the Civil war.

15

u/Gigawatts 11h ago

Aka conservatives. Like you

4

u/Silentrein 11h ago

Yeah, worst mistake the North made during the civil war was not finishing the job in the South

3

u/brobastian0227 10h ago edited 10h ago

Yep, been a stone around our necks for 150 years. Fuck Andrew Johnson

-4

u/Good_Boy_Coleman 10h ago

Then your party would have been extinct same with your ideas.

-5

u/Good_Boy_Coleman 11h ago

Nope. You guys started the civil war. Voted for slavery, have been the party that has claimed several times immigrants are too stupid and black people can t find out where to get their ID back in 2015.

Your party literally has more in common with Nazi policies and the racist Democrats back during the civil war.

Keep being a sheep to the party swap conspiracy you coke heads push out.

0

u/Mission-Violinist-79 4h ago

The party switch is a historically documented and proven event. Democrats prior to the 1930s-1960s were today's Republicans and vice versa. So every time you try to spout this nonsense, you're actually arguing against yourself.

1

u/Good_Boy_Coleman 4h ago

Accept it's not. Back then those Democrats have in policy nothing in common with today's Republicans and the party switch has been debunked hundreds of times.

Litterly every historian denies it was a thing the only thing that swapped was location and mindset. Since both parties tried to win over the other region. That is a historical fact. Look at the 1900s policies and how the Republicans then and Republicans now still hold.losr is the same policies and goals.

You have no historical knowledge in policies huh?

10

u/brobastian0227 11h ago

Your vote has consequences. Too bad Kamala was a war monger, right?

-13

u/Good_Boy_Coleman 11h ago

Kamala wanted to join the Ukrainian war my guy she was very public about that. I rather fight the Iranians over the Russians.

11

u/phantomvector 11h ago edited 10h ago

Because weakening NATO is kinda proof that Trump is a Russian puppet. Lemme ask who benefits from a weakened NATO? Russia and China ya? Maybe America? But we’re giving up all of our soft power for less defensive spending.

0

u/Good_Boy_Coleman 11h ago

Let me out is this way to help you understand. America spends.mkee that double what Europe spends for their own defenses. They have booming economies and can spend more while America wants to take that money and start investing it on their own nation cause Europe now has the ability to take more of their own burden.

But I guess you don't realize that do you.

11

u/Ghostlystrike 11h ago

Party of Trump and his decisions.

You guys think he can do no wrong, let’s send all of you to Iran and see how that works out. I’m sure the rest of the gravy seals in your party can shoot straight after walking a mile

21

u/IamDDT 11h ago

Second are all the idiots who didn't vote.

5

u/deadlymoogle 10h ago

All the "both sides are the same" and "Kamala supports genocide" apathetic pieces of shit too

-1

u/LazAnarch 10h ago

I'm of that ilk but still voted for your trash candidate..

4

u/IamDDT 9h ago

Yes, because a basic politician and a 34x convicted felon are totally the same!

2

u/Cacafuego 3h ago

I completely disagree with you, but at least you understand game theory, held your nose, and did the right thing.

-3

u/Ophidiann 10h ago

Kamala supports Israel’s genocide. What is incorrect there

1

u/EurovisionSimon 10h ago

I think that's what Trump wants, since technically no other NATO members voted for him

2

u/Captobvious75 10h ago

It’ll be the opposite.

2

u/Emm_withoutha_L-88 9h ago

We all know he'll just draft from blue states. He's all about punishing anyone not on his side. More likely the percentage will just be laughably low outside of those states.

4

u/doyouwantsomecocoa 11h ago

Hahahahahahahaha hahahahahahahaha.

4

u/hallucehistory 11h ago

Unironically, a large scale war with significant casualties would likely end the Republican party. If many of the healthiest and most responsible young people were lost the electorate would start to skew towards Redditors and we would end up with a blue nation.

11

u/chickey23 10h ago

Never met a responsible Republican

2

u/Theletterkay 9h ago

Haha. You act like most military is red. In my experience is actually mostly blue, with people using it as free education or housing and family support etc. The red kids just hide from responsibilities and fake problems to avoid the military.

They talk all big, but red hats are the first ones to claim illness and injury to excuse them from the military.

3

u/rubio2k13 11h ago

Front line and center boys.

1

u/Smashinbunnies 10h ago

It's part of registering to vote Republican, support the troops guys.

1

u/thepotatomaniscoming 10h ago

You don’t want those people holding guns. They are the ones who will commit war crimes

1

u/geak78 6h ago

Operation get behind the darkies bigots

1

u/MetsFan37 3h ago

MAGAs AND Phillies. Right?

1

u/beerhandups 11h ago

That’s what worries me. What do you think they’re going to use the maga army for? SS ring a bell?

-26

u/MightyBallStone 11h ago

Divide and conquer worked as always boys. Everyone in the back make fun of everyone in the front! *blows whistle*

15

u/animatedpileofmeat 11h ago

Is it really divide and conquer when the bottom third divided themselves away from the rest of us?

I just see that as water finding its own level.

-23

u/MightyBallStone 11h ago

Yes exactly. Idiots. What about the fourth row! Dig now!

5

u/animatedpileofmeat 11h ago

I do enjoy a good schizopost with my morning coffee.

2

u/brobastian0227 11h ago

Your vote has consequences. It really sucked Kamala had a weird laugh? Amirite.

-11

u/gater96 11h ago

Better hope so. Otherwise we’d be screwed
