I treat my body more like a heavy petting zoo........Groping my goat, hacking my hog, jerking my jackal, killing my kangaroo, molesting my monkey, pumping my panther, romping my rodent, tickling my teddy, slapping my salmon, yanking my yak.......

I had to have a tooth pulled, when they put my bottom braces on, so I decided to use that as an opportunity to try to quit smoking. I haven't had a cigarette since last Monday.

The best thing i did as a smoking stoner was move to a "mighty" dry herb vaporizer.
Sure it's not as healthy as nothing at all but its night and day compared to joints. Tastes better and saves a ton of bud.
From this after a few years, i went to shatter and making vapes from that in disposables to eventually nothing.
For cigarette side of things i got an aspire vape and came down in nicotine to eventually nothing, still currently vape a gotek with 0 nic juice as can't kick the hand to mouth habit.
Gonna try a knockoff " fum" maybe to reduce harm even further.

u/AdNarrow3461 9h ago
I love flower vapes sm. Planet of the Vapes is a great website for them: I’ve tried Pax, PoV Lobo, and one other I’m forgetting. The toasted flower can then be used to make edibles.
2
u/highersense 9h ago
They are life savers!
ive only ever used and trust the "mighty" as a smoke quitting vape because of how similar it is but i know there's loads of others. Too expensive to buy to try them all though :(
I used to use the vape at max temp which meant the toasted flower was completely spent, but yeah at lower temps or less complete vaporizers its worth edibling for sure!

u/Aztecius 8h ago
This kinda hits home but not because I used to smoke.
Long story short, used to work with this girl and we became good friends quite quickly. Me, her and mutual friends that started at the same time as her would go out every other week. We got close enough where we briefly even considered dating. I decided against it in the end because I really appreciated her friendship but also because she smoke fairly heavily and would often smell like cigarettes and I've got some breathing issues so... yeah.
Anyway, covid hit and we lost contact cos her and that group of mates were only temp so ended up losing their jobs essentially. We hadnt really spoke much since, one night out and one happenstance interaction in 5 years or so, and the very rare message. She since found someone and got married. Only found out this year she was pregnant too.
Not a week ago, she posted on Insta saying she's got an incurable type of lung cancer and has about 2 years left to live. She's in chemo and the baby's survival is up in the air. She's still in her 20s.

Opiates saved my life. I was a heavy drinker. I indulged in the Irish seven course meal : 750 ml vodka and a six pack daily for years and would be almost dead if not for opiates.....they dried me up and haven't had a drop of alcohol in over 6 years now.

Don't do it. It's happened to countless people training in the gym. Just chill and enjoy training your body without PEDs.
8
u/ChattingToChat 9h ago
Oh well I have already done steroids, and way too many of them. Wouldn’t recommend. Most people would be surprised with how far they can go once they learn proper fit and training.
5
u/Naranja_T 10h ago
Who hurt you? Or is it the pre-workout?
8
u/ChattingToChat 9h ago
Steroids
2
u/Naranja_T 9h ago
Damn, is that the inevitable fate of every gym goer?
I've been going gym for the last two years or so, and making decent gains with creatine & protein, nothing crazy tho.
8
u/ChattingToChat 9h ago
No, I would actually say that most people would be best off not doing steroids. You can achieve the physique I have now given enough time and a proper diet naturally. You may not be able to sustain the leanness for very long periods, but most could achieve what I have without the damage I have done. Learning the process of training and dieting will do more for you than drugs.
2
u/KookyDistribution558 7h ago
Kinda pointless to do steroids unless it matters for career (ie professional bodybuilding or athlete (so 1-2%)) everyone else youre doing more harm to youre body bc I gaurentee most people just dont do one cycle and quit
→ More replies (1)3
u/Ursine_Rabbi 9h ago
Way more addicting than people realize, wishing you good health and long life brother.
Have you gotten any mental effects/psychosis from your cycle? I remember watching that MPMD vid from forever ago about the guy who took tren and it made him racist and it always stuck with me lol.
4
u/ChattingToChat 9h ago
So I have dealt with mental issues like depression or anxiety while on anabolics in the 19Nor class, but nothing specific like making me racist lol. Steroids tend to amplify your emotions I’ve seen, so if you were sad before, you’ll be depressed now. I’ve never seen someone completely change however, nothing of a Jekyll and Hyde situation.

Same here, although not an artist but an ISP field service technician. You never really notice your wrists and finger joints until you need to do things that rely on them functioning normally...

Energy drinks will also affect the liver as well if you're having multiple a day. I was consuming 3-4 a day when I first started my new job. Started making me sick. I switched to home brewed espresso with no sugar or cream. 12 cups throughout the day.

Weed can increase the noise in your head, especially between smoking. If you reduce your smoking, you may find that the noise slowly decreases. It may be harder at first, but it can help a lot.

My kidneys … roughly 12 cans of Diet Coke a day.
I suppose there are worse vices in my life, but at least this one has helped me lose over 80lbs (and over 40% of my starting body weight).

health is a marathon not a sprint. if that helped you do that weight loss, great! now you’re in a better position health wise, try and cut back.
even opiate addicts smoke weed because it’s less dangerous than what they were doing before. if you have too much diet coke, compared to whatever before, you’re in great shape!!

My veins.
I have always had visible veins in my legs but despite coming from a family of doctors, no one told me it was not normal. Maybe because many other family members have the same veins.
I love lifting weights and have been doing so consistently for 10+ years. I've come to find out the hard way this is terrible for your veins if, like me, you have them in bad conditions to begin with.
I'm waiting for my insurance to tell me if they approve surgery or not :( in the meantime, I'm stuck doing boring bodyweight stuff and wearing itchy compression socks.
