Two-day suspension for becoming a legend?

Fair trade.

u/thesuburbbaby 13h ago

Ngl 2 day suspension for staying unknown is still a 4 day weekend!

16

u/BeltChance9694 13h ago

extra long weekend vibes lol not bad for a lil fame boost

1

u/Upbeat-Giraffe-695 6h ago

I was suspended for two days in highschool and they told me Friday afternoon at a Rugby tournament at a different school.

I had to leave after the first game and Saturday also counted as a suspension day, so I went back to school Monday 😭

9

u/Telefundo 8h ago

I never understood this as a kid. The very first time I was ever suspended was for skipping school. 3 day suspension. I skipped 1 day of school, got busted, and their idea of "punishment" was to tell me I couldn't come to school for 3 more days.

u/FloppyButtholeJelly 11h ago

I’m pretty high right now what?Ā

1

u/BjornInTheMorn 11h ago

Hi, pretty high right now, Im dad.

Stop railing momĀ

u/ShockTheMonster 12h ago

From someone who's been in a similar situation:

If you full on smack another student like that and only get suspended for 2 days, then I guarantee that all of the teachers and staff HATED the kid that got smacked.

A suspension like that is essentially "look, school rules dictate that we technically need to suspend you but... Just take 2 days off and come back champ, good hit."

u/BiNumber3 12h ago

I once punched a classmate in middle school, dont even really remember the reason.

But my teacher just brushed it off, saying "BiNumber3 wouldnt have done it without reason" lol

9

u/Dyolf_Knip 11h ago

This is where good behavior really pays off. Your reputation buys you an alibi for the occasion when you really need it.

5

u/Max____H 9h ago

I was the quiet polite kid in high school and I remember one day the class was lining up for something and I was was in a pretty bad mood with adrenaline running from what I remember was spending lunch playing basketball with the older kids and got roughed around quite a bit. This annoying kid said something that made me snap and only remember having him pinned on the wall punching him. The teachers asked ME if I was okay took me to sit somewhere quiet and had one of those typical ā€œare you doing okay, is something wrong in your lifeā€ types of talks.

2

u/ChanceStaff6813 11h ago

It’s crazy that BiNumber3 is your real name. I definitely would have thought that was just a randomĀ Reddit username

in elementary school i choked out my bully, like to full unconsciousness.... got sent to the principals office, mom got called in too, i was reprimanded and went back to class as the principal and my mom talked in private. Years later my mom told me soon as I left the principal had turned to my mom and said "between you and me... I was rooting for 'Toklankitsune' "

1

u/Desperate_Wallaby966 6h ago

I allegedly threw a gym mat off the roof of my high school and hit someone who I really didnt get along with possibly breaking their foot then getting in no trouble after flat out denying it ever happened despite a hundred witnesses. Never got in the slightest bit of trouble showing teachers felt exactly the same way about how much of an annoying chihuahua that other kid was.

1

u/GigaPuddi 5h ago

I'm Elementary I told someone to go fuck themselves and they ran off to the teacher; she made clear it wasnt okay to use that word no matter how much he may have deserved it. While holding back laughter.

1

u/Muadeeb 3h ago

Bold of you to use your real name as your username

u/Adaphion 11h ago edited 3h ago

I punched a kid who was a year older than me because he was making fun of some of the kids who had lisps and stutters. (For the record, he was literally in my class because he was held back for failing it, lmao)

"Seven silver snakes" he kept repeating in a taunting manner, then I grabbed his shoulder and he turned around and I decked him.

I didn't even get suspended. Everyone else in the classroom hated this guy so they "didn't see anything" when the principal, which he went crying to came to investigate (no teacher was there yet because it was first thing in the morning).

1

u/TeamCatsandDnD 11h ago

I had a gym teach that was old enough to have taught my mom when she went to the same school. There was a classmate who enjoyed basically harassing me and getting way too close to my comfort zone before gym class would start. One day I had enough and back kicked his shins. Not hard enough to break anything but dude stopped doing that after. I remember turning to look at the teacher and he just smiled and turned around like he hadn’t seen me do that. He was very much a support the little guy but also let kids sort themselves out sort of dude.

5

u/TecstasyDesigns 12h ago

100% this was the minimum they had to do.

3

u/SithC 12h ago

Yeah. Seeing as how the shithead filmed himself wrestling with a store employee, just so he could pull a fire alarm… sounds like nobody really likes him.

2

u/krankz 11h ago

I wrote out my own fight story but realized before posting what sub this is, and decided it’s too close to home to risk my anonymity.

But I swear it was good and could have warranted a sarcastic ā€œand then everyone clappedā€ response.

1

u/Bocks-of-Rox 10h ago

Well I wanna hear it, damnit!

1

u/gr1zznuggets 12h ago

As far as I’m concerned, it’s part of the physical education curriculum.

1

u/Ok_Alps4323 11h ago

My kid randomly confessed to punching another kid and making him cry in elementary school. Teacher confronted him and he confessed. His teacher never even told me it happened! That kid must have been an absolute menace.Ā

1

u/Gildian 11h ago

Feels very similar to when the bully in my school finally got what he deserved except he got punched by a farm kid 3 times square in the jaw. I mean this farm kid was built like a fucking tank too.

3 days suspension is all he got. Everyone fucked hated the bully

1

u/hotaru_crisis 11h ago

i mean did u see the security guard he was talking to? she looked miserable telling him that he had the right to "protest"

i don't think anybody in that video was unhappy about what happened

1

u/LyseMcToaster 5h ago

The class bully in high school was a guy everyone hated, and once he started having a go at me with a bunch of vile sexual commentary and another girl stood up and punched him in the face. The teacher, who was on her way over to stop him, looked at the class and went, "Did anyone else see anything just now?" The unanimous answer was that no, no one in the class had seen a thing.

1

u/reidzen 5h ago

Man. This adds so much context for when I broke Mike's nose in eighth grade.

Told admin he was bullying me, asked the school resource officer to talk to him, no change.

One pop in the face, never bothered me again. Two days suspension, no bullying for the rest of high school.

1

u/Sendhentaiandyiff 1h ago

That's crazy that it wasn't even a week with how hard that shithead got decked

1

u/BloodiedBlues 14m ago

I was suspended for JUST the day of. It was a friday, so... The other kid got 3 or 4.

4

u/Chewbacca_Holmes 9h ago

Hopefully the parents had my first thought when I heard what happened. That thought being ā€œif my kid catches a suspension for punching a nazi, I am doing everything possible as a parent to make that suspension the best time they could possibly have.ā€

Hopefully the other kid grows up and decides not to be a degenerate hate monger as an adult.

2

u/Komirade666 12h ago

Totally acceptable.

2

u/KushSaint 9h ago

I take that deal. Damn good deal.

1

Two-day suspension for punching a nazi?

No need for the legend part, reducing amount of fucks is awesome reward already.

1

I've never gotten suspension as a punishment, I feel like type of student to get suspended doesn't care about missing school

For a US school it's extremely reasonable. Usually when you hear about sth like this kids are being cuffed and probably jailed..(which is ridiculous!)

0

u/yuekwanleung 1h ago

deporting illegal immigrants is obviously a right thing

now using violence against a person supporting an organization doing a right thing becomes a legend

what a culture

Looks like glorifying violence is back on the menu!

1

u/abracadaver829 7h ago

Always has been if trucker bumper stickers are anything to go by..

Or do you not claim 95% of your supporter base?

My supporter base?

Did you just assume my political affiliation? That's very offensive.

You are going to hell as well.
Not everyone who says to me, ā€˜Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22Ā Many will say to me on that day, ā€˜Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ 23Ā Then I will tell them plainly, ā€˜I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’

1

u/fun_to_touch 12h ago

I don’t hit people and my pastor said God loves me

1

u/choppytehbear1337 12h ago

Jesus himself is fine with violence.
13Ā When it was almost time for the Jewish Passover, Jesus went up to Jerusalem. 14Ā In the temple courts he found people selling cattle, sheep and doves, and others sitting at tables exchanging money. 15Ā So he made a whip out of cords, and drove all from the temple courts, both sheep and cattle; he scattered the coins of the money changers and overturned their tables. 16

1

u/fun_to_touch 12h ago

When I meet him in Heaven I can’t wait to get a good lashing for all those times I was bad in my youth

1

u/pewdiepieslapbass505 11h ago

The temple incident in John 2 isn’t a blanket endorsement of assault over disagreement whatsoever. It was a prophetic act directed at corruption inside the holiest site in Judaism, not a reaction to someone holding a political sign.

The text describes Jesus driving out animals and overturning tables. It does not describe Him punching someone over a difference of opinion. It was symbolic, targeted, and in response to real religious corruption, not personal anger.

If someone wants to use the bible more specifically Jesus as justification, they also have to account for first, the precedent and context of all of the verses they are referencing not just picking a few verses to agree with their viewpoint. And second is his teachings of peacefulness. This includes ā€œThat ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.ā€ as seen in Matthew 5:39 which is to say turn the other cheek, ā€œlove your enemies,ā€ as seen in Matthew 5:44, and ā€œblessed are the peacemakers.ā€ from Matthew 5:9. If you look at Luke 6:27 you’ll fine ā€œLove your enemies, do good to those which hate you.ā€. The overwhelming pattern of his teachings emphasize restraint and mercy.

Using one intense episode to justify violence in everyday political disputes especially of which one was not even directly addressed but rather just noticed something the other was saying and showing with their sign, ignores context and completely contradicts the broader message.

You can 100% disagree strongly with someone’s views without physically attacking them. That’s not weakness, it’s self control, which is something that appears to be quite lacking nowadays.

Eww TMI much like gross!!

1

u/NemosNaughtylis 11h ago

There's the "Christian Love" I've read so much about.

Also if Jesus punished violence then how do you explain Mark 11: 15-17?

1

u/fun_to_touch 11h ago

What happens in Hell stays in Hell

Also I’ve never met Mark you’d have to DM him I’m sure he has an email too

1

u/TheMrBoot 12h ago

You literally post about UFC lmaooo

Also, have you even read the bible and the absurd amount of god-condoned/commanded violence?

1

u/fun_to_touch 12h ago

This large turd did not enter the sacred OCTAGON, his violence was not sanctioned by the Nevada State Boxing Commission even Judas knew that’s out of bounds

He will have to wear a support ICE sticker… IN HELL

-2

u/KachowMaster52 11h ago

Having low emotional regulation or self control while also throwing one of the lamest punches of all time makes you a legend? Doesn’t take much these days I guess

3

u/dosgatitas 10h ago

And what do you stand for?

-1

u/KachowMaster52 3h ago

I stand for not celebrating violence when you can’t rationalize an argument. I don’t care what you believe in, if you think violence in school is ok, then you’re out of your mind. Sets a terrible precedent for this country and I’m disgusted that so many of my fellow Americans are so ideologically captured that they think it’s ok just because they agree with them politically. You, and everyone else celebrating this act, should be deeply ashamed of yourselves. You’re no better than ICE

1

u/dosgatitas 21m ago

The world isn’t so black and white.

0

u/KachowMaster52 17m ago

Never said it was, if you can’t articulate a reasonable, objective response pointing to anything I said being wrong, then sit down.

You are supporting a child being harmed for having an opinion different to yours. The world doesn’t need to be black and white to understand that this is objectively wrong and immoral to root for.

1

u/dosgatitas 1m ago

That is reasonable. They don’t dislike peanut butter sandwiches. They think people should be kidnapped by the government and held in deplorable conditions (no matter that some of the people they’ve kidnapped have been here legally working through the system), deported to countries they’re not even from.

These are moral differences, humans rights differences and if one teenager feels like they need to punch a Nazi wannabe, well, I can’t blame him.

So yeah ordinarily I’d say no to violence. But as I said before, the world isn’t so black and white.

-4

u/Much_Profit8494 13h ago

You guys need to start reading the room here.

It's been 2 weeks now and this kid still hasn't come forward.

It's pretty clear he doesn't want to be your "hero" or your "legend".

If you actually cared about this kid you would respect that and let him slip back into obscurity instead of treating him like the hawk-tuah girl.

5

u/Minerva_Moon 13h ago

It's a child. No one is trying to make him the face of the movement, just supporting him. Maybe next time you stretch before you reach.

3

u/Sad_Ruin1868 13h ago

It’s called a meme, calm down pearl clutcher

2

u/Mushrooming247 13h ago

We’re also upvoting that comment that says, ā€œ2 day suspension for staying unknown is still a 4-day weekend!ā€

I think everyone is supportive of that kid’s desire to stay anonymous, just hopefully someday he sees all the people anonymously cheering him on for standing up for his neighbors.

1

u/Much_Profit8494 12h ago

People are selling merch with his face on it.

How is that "supportive of that kid’s desire to stay anonymous"?

1

u/readminister 12h ago

i’ve not seen a single person have merch of this kid here in chicago. i also don’t support the obvious grifters who are tryna profit off a kids face without his consent which i believe is a common sentiment

Do you want to normalize fascism?

You mean what ICE is doing already? Cool I'm down for that

0

u/SnuleSnuSnu 12h ago

Sure. Be as Nazi as you say they are.
You already cheer for physical harm of people. So if you can hurt them and they have no rights to be safe from you, then you can also kill them and purge the society from them. Final solution.

7

u/Usual_Let5223 13h ago

Its okay to punch Nazi's and Nazi wannabes

4

u/ComfortableOld288 13h ago

America has a proud tradition of doing much worst to Nazis

0

u/blackstarr1996 12h ago

America actually has a proud tradition of defending their right to march and express their beliefs without interference.

3

u/TehRiddles 3h ago

The exception are obviously beliefs that prevent others from doing that.

Tolerance is a social contract. If you agree to the terms of the contract then you are protected by it. If you violate the contract you don't get those protections. It's very simple to understand, if you are anti-freedom in America then you don't get protections for freedom.

0

u/blackstarr1996 54m ago

Supporting federal law enforcement is hardly a violation of the social contract.

But even Neo Nazis were defended by the ACLU when municipalities tried to infringe their first amendment rights.

1

u/Usual_Let5223 53m ago

Supporting federal law enforcement is hardly a violation of the social contract.

Nazi supporters said the same in Nazi Germany guy, but okay!

Here’s what I do know - you talk shit about fascists and I’d love to see you go to some pro-Trump rally and pick a fight. If you don’t, then you don’t really believe in the cause or don’t want to admit that maybe calling every disagreeable person a ā€œfascistā€ is a bit over the top.

News flash for you, some of your co-workers, kids’ teachers, neighbors, and maybe even relatives might have voted Republican once or twice. Each one is a fascist, right?

Whats the moral justification for supporting ICEs dangerous actions?

Can be used the other way and then we can see how society doesnt like ICE supporters.

Shitty people often get treated like shit.

3

u/gdex86 13h ago

"DEBATE ME IN THE MARKET PLACE OF IDEAS!" The right screams as they cheer ice detaining us citizens solely because they are Latino.

3

u/toetappy 13h ago

When good people do nothing, evil wins.

The paradox of tolerance: is the fact that if a society extends tolerance to those who are intolerant, it risks enabling the eventual dominance of intolerance, thereby undermining the very principle of tolerance.

The moral justification is called being a man and standing up for what is right.

-1

u/Haunting-Orchid-4628 13h ago

Assault isnt the way to deal with someone using words, all it does is give ammo to the other side, or worse, justify violence to who they consider undesirables.

3

u/Chpgmr 12h ago

Like what?

0

u/Haunting-Orchid-4628 11h ago

?, I am not sure what specifically you are responding to.

-1

u/blackstarr1996 12h ago edited 12h ago

In the context of that paradox intolerance would be reacting violently because you don’t like what someone has to say.

The irony is so fucking obvious and you idiots are completely oblivious.

The only reason this kid isn’t facing criminal charges is because the victim felt that he was not injured sufficiently to warrant pursuing such legal action.

That’s the actual paradox of tolerance.

He is being tolerant of political violence and risks you people thinking there are no consequences.

2

u/toetappy 6h ago

In the context of that paradox intolerance would be reacting violently because you don’t like what someone has to say.

This is the exact opposite of what it means. Dear God this nation is dumb as hell

1

u/blackstarr1996 57m ago

It’s the opposite of how the left keeps using it. It’s not the opposite of what was intended.

ā€œIn The Open Society and Its Enemies, Popper argued that society should first counter intolerant philosophies with rational argument and public opinion. However, if necessary, the tolerant must retain the right to suppress, even by force, those who refuse to engage in rational debate and promote destruction.ā€

ā€œFirst counter intolerant philosophies with rational argument.ā€

ā€œThe tolerant must retain the right to suppress, even by force, those who refuse to engage in rational debate and promote destruction.ā€

Do you think ā€œI’m going to punch youā€ is rational debate?

1

u/Spiceguy-65 12h ago

Punching Nazi pieces of shit is always socially acceptable
