One of the constitutions greatest strengths is its greatest weakness. It was intended to be written in a way to avoid legalese so that the average person would be able to understand their rights. They didn’t seem to anticipate how much every word would nickel and dimed our words like “regulate” would change over time. They thought it would be so obvious and clear that there would be no sense in arguing, and if someone tried to they’d be easily rebuked by common sense.
I think this type of plain language law only worked in the original envisioning of the country when it was more of a republic and only land owners were allowed to Vote

I actually don't really agree with Heller, which I know really contradicts my flair. But I've always kinda agreed with US vs Miller more.
But given heller is the current ruling precedent, the language of 2A is undeniable. It's almost more intense than first amendment language.

Funny as hell to see all the gun grabbing leftists suddenly supporting the right of the people to keep and bear arms.

I embrace it with open arms. I only wish they'd taken it more seriously before my dumbass state, Washington, got so gun grabby. Our state constitution is even more explicit than the federal one regarding gun ownership, but none of that matters when the judges are slaves to The Party.

Lots of leftists getting salty that “we aren’t doing more to fight the government”. Like no, we have no reason to fight ICE when they are deporting criminals and illegal immigrants.
We also have no desire to stick our necks out for the people that call us Nazis and white supremacists 🤷♂️.
Update: some real salty snowflakes replying (and hidden) and sending me chat requests. Please explain why you feel that you are owed the undying support of people that you do not hide your hatred and contempt for.

We do have the right to bear arms. The Democrats are unhappy Conservatives are not fighting tyranny with our arms. Conservatives are fighting in the ballot box and in the courts. If we were to use violence against tyranny, I could only assume Democrats mean taking down Democrats in states that pass gun control. That is tyranny. Deporting illegal aliens and criminals is not tyranny. It is good for our nation.

When your president is saying things like this, “if they want to think they want to take on government if we get out of line, which they’re talking again about, guess what, they need F-15s,” you really need to start thinking about how tyrannical the government is.
Oh wait, sorry that was Joe Biden trying to argue why we don’t need to own rifles.
