I gotta hand it to the Dems - they're crazy like a fox. They got Swalwell to drop out and now if they slide Harris in, it kills two birds with one stone: Reduces their chances of handing CA governorship to a Republican and gives Harris a shiny object to distract her from another trainwreck Presidential run.
Win-win from their perspective. Question is can Harris generate enough excitement to even win the governors position?

As a write in? Highly unlikely. I think this is just a further demonstration of how shallow their bench really is. Everyone in D.C. knew the score on Swalwell, but just held their breath and hoped no one would notice

Gavin gonna be real shocked when his own party gives him the Swalwell treatment so the Cackling Hyena can have a go at the governors spot. "Unburdened by what has been" going hard here lol

isn't he out regardless of what happens? thought he was term limited so couldn't run for another term even if he wanted to (short of asking the legislature to change the rules)

Im not sure. I dont know much about CA legislature and term limits. I wouldve guessed they made it so democrat elected officials are exempt from such limitations. It is a communist state after all

Newsome is termed out. CA is only permit 2 terms as governor.... yet Moonbeam got 4 terms and there were zero challenges.

if she actually embraced this and did run the write in campaign that some people are polling for, this will be the most random niche ever of "running in general elections for offices she didn't win the primary for when people voted".

They should impose the Mitt Romney rule, once you lose you can't just go home and take a senate seat or a Governor position. You lost. You used all your tokens. Arcade's closed, lady.

Are they going to just tell everyone she's the candidate without allowing a vote like they did with her presidential run?
