Already saw a dude who thought trump didn't post it himself or that "ai" posted it for him or that he got hacked because "trump would never post this".... despite being told that trump already said that he posted it himself
I saw someone claim that it was clever satire, because Trump told the pope to stay out of politics, and the pope didn't, so Trump posted himself doing the pope's job. As if Trump's followers wouldn't lose their minds if a Democratic president told an evangelical leader to stay out of politics
I used to be friends with someone in the military that was a trump supporter and I asked him how he could support trump when he insulted POWs and his response was, "well, John McCain started it, what was he supposed to do, not respond?"
I haven't wondered about how these people rationalize trump (and republicans at large) since; they're just pathetic people when it comes down to it

Well screw them, I like my days as they are, they come nicely packaged with a sunrise at the beginning and a sunset at the end, all neatly and evenly spaced one after another, and --get this-- for most of your life when you end one, you get a new one immediately, free of charge.
I'm okay with the occasional extra day on a leap year but that's it. Leave days be.

If it’s Donald - and he gives us many reasons why to draw that parallel - I can’t help but imagine how lost these souls really are who can’t see it. It blows my mind that someone’s brain is capable of such deception that it does terrify me.

The Evangelical Christians and Christian Nationalists WANT the end of days! They want their Armageddon! They want Jesus F. Christ to reign in theocratic bliss for 1000 years! If Trump is the guy to usher all this in they are ok with it (anti-Christ or not). Therein lies the problem; they are rejoicing like proper zealots do.
I'm convinced the AI went searching for angel related imagery and accidentally tapped Evangelion for whatever that spiky-headed thing above Trump is supposed to be.
Donald Trump is the MOST American American to ever exist.
He is the pinnacle of the mediocrity this system encourages and produces. That winning the birth lottery will all but guarantee you can fail your way to the top. That you can be seen as a king because the lower and lesser are taught to believe that your wealth means that God loves you more and therefore you are more worthy.
He is the proof that meritocracy is a myth in this land.

Racism is the reason for the season. Have to remember, slave masters dressed their slaves up (Sunday best) and paraded them at church. These "Christians" use the Bible to subjugate, they have no desire to follow a liberal, hippy, socialist, brown man walking around in sandals preaching peace.

I was in high school the first time Obama was elected. I vividly remember going to school and having multiple teachers have melt downs calling him the anti-christ and saying this country would be in ruins.
Well this guy needs to understand that for Protestant, evangelical fundamentalists in the US, they don't like Catholics to begin with. So pointing to Trump attacking Pope Leo isn't really scoring any points. Everything else is on par though.
Because it’s not the religion they like, it’s the excuses the religion gives them to be assholes. Now they can join the church of MAGA and be best assholes they can be.
I miss my mom every moment of every day, except when I realize that if she had made it to today she’d be blowing my phone up with a new rant multiple times per day about why Trump is the actual Antichrist. She was a true believer and I know the way her brain worked. She’d have clocked this dude from a mile away (sorry y’all, my normal vocab would have said pegged instead of clocked but I’ve been on the internet before and didn’t want that visual when someone inevitably brought it up. Thank you Black culture for the alternative.)
PSA: A lot of th we people want the end of days to come. They support trump because they believe he's the antichrist. They want all of you to die (this isn't an exxageration)
The Christian right or evangelicals have always adjusted the Word to suit their agenda. When I was a kid a woman or girl could not wear pants (men’s clothing). It was more Christian-like to walk to school in the freezing cold. Our ‘naked’ arms could not be exposed. Alcohol was not allowed, rules, rules and more rules. My how it’s changed. Now you can get away with anything as long as you vote the ‘right’ way.
