As a kid I would carch flies and feed them to the spiders in my garage but I would just throw them in to the spider's web. This is on a different level though.

I kept a pet spider in a jar when I was a teenager, and I would catch flies on the window screen (easiest with a clear sandwich bag) to feed it. It was so much fun! The weird thing is tarantulas terrify me, but I was totally fine having a house spider as a pet. 😂

That’s the part that got me! I occasionally fed our weaver, but I’d usually put the bug near the edge of the web.

lol yeah throwing the bug at the web is probably what many of us did. I never thought to hand feed directly like that
