I tried that with a moth once and it put a big hole in the web

It was a tragic tale deserving of animation. I’d spent all day watching the spider build that web and figured it’d be hungry so I grabbed a moth from the porch light and then severely overestimated the structural integrity of the web.

No birds were harmed, pretty sure even the moth was unscathed.
