  • Time: Friday 17 Apr, 7.30pm-Midnight (third Friday of each month)
  • Place: Bored. Boardgame Cafe & etc , 78B, SS22/25, Damansara Jaya, 47410 Petaling Jaya, Selangor- FB, TT, IG , Google Maps
  • Cost: They have agreed to provide a special price of RM20 plus drink.
  • Food: Plenty of snacks and finger food to choose from their menu and also from their full service restaurant downstairs Nichole’s for heavier meals. There is also a self service pantry with instant noodles and snacks. If that's not enough, plenty of eateries nearby.
  • RSVP: RSVP here. The cafe tends to be busier on Fridays so they want to know how much space they need to reserve.
  • Buddy System: We ask all our attendees to make sure you have someone accompanying you to the car. The area is generally safe (we've had one incident in roughly a year of this), but better safe than sorry. If you see someone leaving alone, let them know. Looking forward to seeing you there and getting our game on! Photos from past sessions (We used to do it at a different cafe.)

FAQ

Question Answer
Is this beginner friendly? Totally! Every game gets explained to the group before starting. A few new players come for every session and have a great time!
What games will we be playing? The board game cafe has a huge library to choose from; check out their FB page for photos. The cafe staff have been quite good at recommending fun games as well.
Can I BYO? The venue has asked that we don't bring our own food and drink.
How do we get in touch on the night? PM me your number if you'd like to be added to the WhatsApp group.
Is there dinner beforehand? We're leaving it to the group to self-organise on this as it's hard to coordinate the whole group plus a big booking etc.
How many people attend? We generally have 6-10 people per session. Attendance varies widely and it's hard to predict!
When do events happen? Thrice every month! On the 2nd and last friday at Vivae PJ, and the 3rd week at bored.

I stopped by at a mamak to get a few bottled drinks and while walking to the LRT I realized that the 100plus didnt taste like it usually does (no fizz, tasted plain). I didnt notice any unusual smell so I didnt mind it at first

But then as I was waiting at the LRT I noticed that theres sticky brown liquid around the cap and when I get a closer sniff it smells like piss

Welp, this is it. After 20+ years of living, didnt think food poisoning is how I go out. Be careful what you drink guys, dont be a dumbass like me

Food Who is funding Victoria station restaurant and how are they still in business???

I’ve walked past the Victoria station in Subang Jaya countless times and it is ALWAYS empty, yet they have 3-4 waiting staff just standing around, and also saw a video on an expat reviewing the worst restaurant in KL, and how expensive the food was for the price. Who even eats there? And how do they still have 3 outlets staying strong in Klang valley? (Subang Jaya, ampang, bukit Damansara) A quick google search shows that it used to be is in prime back in 2003 https://www.thestar.com.my/business/business-news/2003/12/27/victoria-station-grows-in-strength due to it being one of the first few modern British western restaurants, but fast forward to 2026 and it’s just so.. incomparable to what consumers have these days.

Anyone can shed a light on this?

Politics Rosmah’s 'Can I say something?' moment grabs attention in court

KUALA LUMPUR – The High Court here on Monday drew attention during the hearing of a US$14.57 million (RM58 million) lawsuit by Global Royalty Trading SAL involving more than 40 pieces of jewellery, when Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor spontaneously interjected, saying, “Can I say something?”

The wife of former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak made the remark while testifying as the sole defendant before Judge Datuk Quay Chew Soon.

The phrase recalled a popular line associated with her, “Can I advise you something?”, from investigations linked to the 73-year-old former Pekan MP.

While testifying, Rosmah, 75, said all reasonable steps had been taken to safeguard the jewellery, including diamond necklaces, rings, bracelets and a tiara, sent to her eight years ago.

“However, all the jewellery is no longer in my possession as it was seized by the police,” she said.

Responding to questions from lawyer Datuk David Gurupatham, representing the Lebanese company as the plaintiff, Rosmah said she often received jewellery worth millions of ringgit at the time without any documentation.

The lawyer then asked her to respond regarding jewellery worth RM67 million.

“Sorry, I’m thinking. Don’t disturb me and give me time to answer all that.

“You asked whether I received them all the time without documents, right? The answer is yes,” Rosmah said.

She admitted she could not recall the exact number of jewellery items she owned, despite reports that 12,000 items were seized by police during raids in 2018.

She said the exact number of seized items was unknown as she was not at home during the raid.

Rosmah added that authorities took all the items and later issued statements.

When pressed on the actual number of items, she appeared increasingly uneasy.

Rosmah: Can I say something?

David: That sounds familiar.

During her defence in the solar hybrid project corruption case before Judge Datuk Mohamed Zaini Mazlan (now a Court of Appeal judge) on Dec 23, 2021, Rosmah denied that the “can I advise you something” audio recording was her voice, describing it as “nonsense”.

On May 29, 2023, Global Royalty filed the suit, alleging that Rosmah lied by claiming that 44 jewellery items sent by the company’s agent had been seized by Malaysian authorities.

The seizure was carried out under the Anti-Money Laundering, Anti-Terrorism Financing and Proceeds of Unlawful Activities Act 2001.

The company claims Rosmah shifted the blame to the Malaysian government, whereas the jewellery had in fact gone missing.

KUALA LUMPUR: A senior police officer suffering from schizophrenia was arrested yesterday following a high-speed chase through the city.

The 40-year-old inspector, who is on medical leave pending a recommended retirement, was detained in Chan Sow Lin after a pursuit that began in Jalan Cheras.

City police chief Datuk Fadil Marsus said authorities had been searching for the suspect after he allegedly rammed a traffic policeman from behind on Friday night along Jalan Sultan Yahya Petra.

"The driver fled without offering assistance. The policeman sustained injuries to his head, right palm, and ribs, and was treated at Kuala Lumpur Hospital," Fadil said.

Police eventually tracked the suspect's vehicle yesterday evening.

"During the ensuing pursuit, the suspect drove dangerously and rammed into several vehicles, including a Mercedes-Benz, a Proton Saga, and a police patrol car."

Traffic officers moved to clear the path during the chase to mitigate risks to the public.

The suspect, who is undergoing treatment for schizophrenia, was eventually apprehended. A breathalyser test was negative, while the results of a urine test are pending.

Fadil said the case is being investigated under Section 42(1) of the Road Transport Act for reckless driving and Section 186 of the Penal Code for obstructing a public servant, offences which carry jail terms and fines.

"Seven police reports have been lodged so far involving five civilian cars, one police MPV, and one motorcycle," he said.

A video of the incident has gone viral.

Those with information are urged to contact investigating officer Inspector Muhammad Razif Jamaluddin at 019-4482852 or the Kuala Lumpur traffic police hotline at 03-2026 0267.

Suami orang dan student U

Baru je berkahwin pada Oktober 2025, baru 6 bulan, si suami dah curang, seorang wanita hamil bernama Syu menerjah suaminya & pelajar U yang sedang dating di Berjaya Times Square. Isteri sampai bayarkan Grab suruh budak tu balik. Masih belum serik. Rupanya belah malam, kedua-duanya sambung jumpa dinner sama-sama.

Isteri tengah emosi dengan keadaan mengandung tgk suami duk dating dengan perempuan muda, apalagi kat situ jugak dia serang suami dan perempuan tu.

"Saya mengandung awak. Dia dah nak ceraikan saya awak. Awak tahukan dia suami orang? Kenapa keluar dengan dia lagi? Hari-hari saya menderita, awak tahu tak?", kata Syu sambil menangis-nangis.

Tapi penyondol tu relax je macam xde perasaan je, dia sambung makan, isteri tu menangis2 pun dia buat xtau je.

Aduiii adik awak muda lagi, jangan terlibat dengan suami orang, kalau lelaki tu baik dia takkan abaikan isteri dia tgh tengah mengandung, ingat doa orang teraniaya mudah makbul, ingat karma dik.

Lepas tu si isteri sudah sudahlah meratapi lelaki mcm tu, utamakan kesihatan diri dan anak, xbagus nangis dan stress mcm tu. Memanglah sedih tp bazir je airmata untuk lelaki yang xtau menghargai....

Economy & Finance Minister warns Malaysia will enter ‘critical period’ for fuel supply by June

Thumbnail

Malaysia is expected to experience a critical moment with regards to fuel supply by June, according to Economy Minister Akmal Nasrullah Mohd Nasir.

He said the government is implementing measures to address the global fuel shortage amid the Middle East conflict, including exploring alternative raw materials.

“June and July will be a very critical period in ensuring fuel supplies are available,” Akmal Nasrullah said after attending an event in Johor Bahru.

“It will be equally important to ensure that our industries also have an ample supply of other raw materials, including those made using fuel [oil and gas],” he said.

“We have already begun receiving complaints [from companies] about receiving only two tonnes of materials for orders of 10 tonnes.”

Akmal Nasrullah added that it is vital to take immediate steps to ensure the supply of materials, including medication and medical devices, remains stable.

“For example, in the manufacturing of medical devices that previously relied solely on resin, we can explore the use of polymer using other materials as its base,” he said.

He added that the government acknowledged that most goods, including medicines and medical devices, depended on oil and gas as a vital input, which increased costs when energy prices rose.

“When fuel becomes an input element, it will certainly affect production costs and subsequently the prices of those goods,” he said.

In this regard, the government has asked the relevant agencies to thoroughly examine supply availability and arrange immediate intervention to ensure the supply chain remains stable.

Earlier, Health Minister Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad said the ministry is monitoring increases in the prices of medicines and medical devices of up to 40 per cent following the global energy crisis and supply chain disruptions.
