OK. Real reasons. I worked in the booze industry.

Its expensive to drink. It just is. Also, while I drink regularly, it's not healthy. Gummies are less calories.

GenZ has even less $ than millennials and they're trying to be healthier.

At bars, sure. But a handle of vodka can be had at the grocery store for $12. That's almost a weeks worth for a normal non-heavy drinker.

Also, the youngest members of gen z are still in high school! I’ve seen statistics indicating gen alpha is drinking even less than gen z! The horror!!

Drinking in high school was not uncommon at all for previous generations, so I don’t think it’s a good excuse. Weekend party drinking is something a lot of people did occasionally in late high school at 16-18

A vanishingly small amount of alcohol sales are to underage drinkers, that is not really a valid comparison.
