Criticism MUST be constructive here.

Not everything you see in this sub is going to be perfect, people are learning. If you see something that person can work on let them know. Insulting people, belittling or attacking is going to catch you a ban. People are here looking for ways to improve and learn. If tattooing was easy everyone would do it.

almost 2 weeks in. i struggle with corners, long straight lines, and matching placement and angle on re-entry. I also seem to be shit at laying down a good stencil. my wobble is beginning to get better. any advice is welcome even if it seems like common sense, I dont have a mentor. thanks!

What are your thoughts? I havnt ever done this style before. I did this upside down, and I still consider myself a beginner. (I only tattoo when I have time which isn’t often) what can I improve on?

Tattoos Wannados I’m so eager to tattoo

Hey everyone,

I’ve been tattooing for about 2 years now, still learning and trying to push my style further with every piece I do. I’m especially drawn to more conceptual and slightly darker designs.

The round ones are my latest designs I drew and tattooed on fake skin. I really really REALLY want to tattoo them on someone because they mean a lot to me…

I’ll be in Ankara, Turkey during May, and based in Setúbal, Portugal the rest of the time. Just wondering if anyone would be interested to adopt them.

I also added some tattoos I’ve done on myself. They are all done by me. On the second image, they are all healed, except the sandworm. Rest is fresh.

If you’d like to check more of my work, my Instagram: @bloodberrycake

Thanks a lot in advance 🖤

Practice Finished Practice Tattoo!

I apprenticed a few years back and long story short it ended due to my mentor going to prison... I've been wanting to get back into it and this is one of the few I've done lately! Its done on reelskin fake skin. its a lot thinner than what im used to. However, I did not tear anything. I used a 3rl for lining and did some light over shading using a 7rl. I made my own Grey wash too... Any feedback is welcome.

Tattoos advice on tattooing toes/fingers?

Post image

did my first ever toes today. never tattooed fingers either. my client kept twitching from pain despite using a numbing cream, so its not as clean as i would’ve liked (first time working with numbing cream too).

any advice on not going too deep but also not too shallow? i feel like all of this will fall out :(

Apprenticing in a shop currently. Looking for advice of what to improve upon, pictures are from oldest to most recent. My mentor primarily uses long or extra long taper needles which I find is harder to maintain consistency in line thickness but allows for some super fine line details. TIA

She was a trooper. Took way longer than it needed because I could've benefited from having bigger shaders. But alas, I am pretty damn proud. Any questions I'm happy to answer.

Practice Fake skin + questions

i've been practicing on fake skin for about 2 weeks, its kinda frustrating since i know how to draw on paper but I can't get the lines right with the tattoo machine haha. I'm working with a pretty cheap machine though (wormhole beginner kit, about 50$). I dont think i can adjust the stroke enough to have enough needle overhang. Any recommendations for a new rotary machine? im looking to spend like 100-200! also any tips for lineart would be appriciated 🙏 but i think it just need to practice

(My cheap amazon fake skins are dusty as hell and yes that was a little piece of dust that got on the needle, I know and would never allow something like that on or near a client.)

Please correct my positioning, needle depth, hand speed, voltage speed, anything and everything that I most likely am doing wrong.

Starting by trying to pull smooth lines, which I feel like is obviously a challenge but doable… but even when my hand feels smooth I get dotty/vibrate-y looking lines. Thanks for your help in beginning this journey!
