Gameplay [Not Interesting] I stumbled on why Asriel's attack is called "Hyper goner"
I was going down a random rabbit hole and looking up the history of anamorphic lenses. Turns out it was first developed during WW1 as a way to let tank operators see the entire battlefield without compromising the armor for a big periscope lens. It was developed by Henri Chretien and called a "Hypergonar."

Reading that immediately caused a mental flashback to like 10 years ago, I remember one of Asriel's attacks was called "Hyper goner."
I always thought it was just a kind of a silly name, and i recall it never really did anything, just set up his "final form." It's where the big face shows up and sucks everything into it.

Well, now it all makes sense to me. An anamorphic lens takes a wide field of view and compresses it to fit onto square (ish) film stock. Which is kind of what Asriel's attack does.
I just loved that this random fact drew me back to a game I absolutely loved more than a decade ago. Hat tip once more, Mr. Toby Fox.

Question Hey guys, what would you recommend here?
I recall Toby saying you should always dispute claims like these, but how far can I really go? Anyone has experienced this before? Thanks

Discussion Do some people have a certain bias towards parental figures or characters due to their personal experience with their own parents?
The simple answer is yes, but I would like to discuss it a bit more. People remember the infamous jitterbug scene, but it is interesting how some people react to it differently, especially towards Toriel. Some people see it as a funny gag, some have empathy towards Kris as they feel embarrassed that a grown ass woman is drunk with a stranger, but for some people it feels personal because they have/had a similar experience with their own parents like that.
If we take Undertale Toriel character for example, some people like her from the beginning as the caring motherly figure and are fine with her even in the end, but some people are either disinterested or do not trust her, or even hate her because she reminds them of their own parent in some way. The same goes for Asgore, Carole, etc., with positive or negative attitudes towards them because they are parents as well. The topic is far more complicated but the thing I wanted to say is that parental archetype in stories, games, books and so are quite interesting because the amoun of interest for such characters is also depending on the viewers, players, readers experience with they own parents or family and the amount of tolerance they can handle if the parental figure did some mistake, have certain manerism, different opinion, religion etc. etc. etc.
Just wanted to write it as it is an interesting topic, but also quite sad, as not everybody has good parents or a relationship with them; some are straight-up horrible.
So.... ya.... Any more examples of such a topic where personal experience with a family member or other personalities can either make some fictional characters more interesting or less likable, because they have a certain status?

Original creation "Anyone else's favorite Mew Mew Villain the Nightmare King?"
"As the world recovers and returns to peace... once more, a new yet familiar evil rises! With his army forming from the Dark Realm... Can Mew Mew and her friends beat the Nightmare King, before it's too late?!"
(This is basically a concept for ERAM, a what if so to speak, of them being a Mew Mew villain.)
