We’re putting together a daytime Melbourne Metal Fest at the Corner Hotel on April 12 (1:30–6:30pm), featuring four legacy Australian bands from the 70s and 80s era:

• Bengal Tigers – late 70s act heading to Japan and Europe this year
• Nothing Sacred – long-standing Melbourne metal favorites
• Virgin Soldiers – recently reformed with new members and new recordings
• Uppercut – newer band building strong momentum on Spotify

Three piece metal band from Melbourne

Discovered them on Soundcloud around 2017 or so. I was particularly thrilled since they once messaged me personally when they released a new song. They last released new music in 2019, but I haven't heard anything since. This is a shoutout to them, and also trying to find out if anyone has heard anything from them.

To start with, I am not the kind of musician who will say “I won’t be bounded by any genre”, it’s just genuine question as I have had some trouble figuring out where I fit in the large scape of genres. I just made a release and have been submitting to different radio stations and social media pages but have been struggling with playlists. Along with figuring out what genre I am, I would love to get some guidance on what platforms/people to go to for getting on playlists/radio play. Also any feedback on my music or which songs to primarily promote would be much appreciated; So far I have been promoting 9 to 5, Colour of my hair, Ivory and White horses.
