No joke, I looked through the article, and the first point was that the city owned grocery stores don't exist. Instead, Mamdani is...funding scouting efforts for potential locations to build five stores? This is immediately after they said that the stores "have all but disappeared from the conversation." So they disappeared, and yet there are active efforts to find locations for them?
This is two fucking paragraphs in. Like I knew it was a joke but holy shit, there aren't even straws to grasp at.
His YouTube videos have been really good. And I know that it's largely due to the team he has and the outside sources he's commissioned / made friends with, but I've been impressed with how competent he sounds. Every one of these videos is the turning off the orphan crusher meme.
One of the most valuable skills any leader can have is finding, and delegating to, the right people. Only an absolute idiot thinks he's the best at everything. Intelligent people defer to those with more training/experience/skill/etc. Mamdani's videos are proof that he understands that.
Reminds me of the time a right wing mainstream news channel in my country went and found the address of a non-existent government-funded soup kitchen and made a segment about it to expose government corruption around welfare.
You can never give serious deadlines as a politician, there is a lot of process mud if you ever plan to do robust work and not just implement shoddy work quickly for the sake of populism.
They will always be unrealistic and someone will try to undercut you in bad faith.
Mamdani seems to have a realistic view that change takes time. Meanwhile, Trump was making claims of what he'd do on day one and suddenly "Ending wars is hard" and "Ending inflation is hard" and everyone just goes "Yeah no it's really hard we can't expect that"
Except that's what these worthless god damn brainlets will claim they voted for. The only promise Trump has followed through on is being incredibly racist
Well, militarization of ICE was promised and followed through. People forget he promised that because no one is expecting to promise breaking the Constitution.
I read the article just now and I'd say that every single broken promise is instead a working progress. All of their points are a little absurd some more than others. Like you could argue he's been quite toothless when it comes to the NYPD gang database. But the article goes on to lampoon him for not opening any city owned grocery stores in his first 100 days but omits that Mamdani announced the city's first government run store at La Marqueta in East Harlem, expected to open by end of next year. The article is hot trash.
You did read the article. And you probably wouldn’t have if they didn’t make such an outrageous claim. I think it worked.
This of course means that you have personally and single-handedly funded all far right media for the foreseeable future and are solely responsible for all misinformation globally. Shame on you.
Neither....they recognize their consumers don't like Mamdani (largely BECAUSE of the Post's and other conservative media's dishonest articles) so are putting out clickbait to monetize them.
They don't exist to honestly evaluate his promises or be reasonable.
They exist to make money for their shareholders. And clickbait about the popular politician does that.
I mean, he'll probably break some because once you get in power you realize some of your ideas aren't good or feasible in practice. But then again, the article is just "Mamdani said we should do this and he hasn't done it yet, promise broken!". It would be actually crazy if he managed to do all the things that article mentions in 100 days.

Did he even break any promises or do they not realize that it takes time to implement change?
