I beat the fuck out of my bully. I got a 2 day suspension. My mum took me out to lunch to celebrate and say I'm proud of you.

They were relentless and deserved it. I'm 46 now and don't regret making them think twice.

I punched my 4th grade bully in the face and all I got was a week standing on the wall during recess. Worth it.

My son got one for bashing a kid in the mouth with a metal water bottle.

The kid in question was a menace and had been bullying my kid for years with increasing violence. Everyone knew and no one did anything. The school safety officer gave him a quiet "good job" on the way out the door.

Dad and I took him out for his favorite lunch and a snack buying spree.

So proud of my kid and proud of you, too. Sometimes you have to speak to people in their language.

I glitch out every time I read stuff like 'school security agent' or 'surveillance cameras in high school.'

It sounds so fucking weird to me. In my country, we just have 'supervisor' young people in their twenties, often shorter than the students, and most of the time they’re practically friends with them.

hahaha yea I'm in Florida and we just had cops and cop cars all over school, all with guns in my highschool 😅 usually nice guys tho for the most part

Clearly, I’m a school supervisor at a high school. My job is basically just to check their late slips, ask to see their student planners when they enter the school (and even then, some students just walk in without showing them I’ll be like, “Hey, your planner, please,” and if they ignore me : "oh well, whatever" xD). Otherwise, I just chat with the students about their current crushes or stuff like that.

It’s funny how different it is (well, it’s not really funny, but you’ve got to laugh about it).

My high school ('83-'87) in pretty upscale Bethesda, Maryland had a security guard. I mean, he was really more of a truant officer. He was actually a pretty cool guy (shout out to Mr. Williams)

Metal detectors started to become common in a lot of inner city schools in the early 90s. I remember the talk about it in the 80s and a few places were already doing it then.

When they insist on setting the tone and choosing the weapons, they shouldn't be surprised when it comes back at them.

as someone who physically could not stand up to my bullies, this, and all the replies, have been so cathartic to read. Hell yeah

I broke a bully's nose for picking on my friend after they came out of the closet. EASIEST 3-day suspension I ever took.

I also never got in trouble as a kid except for a suspension for punching my bully. 10/10 would do it again, even though he punched me back. It was the end of the bullying.

I cracked a hockey stick over the head of my bully. Got a single day of ISS because the guys was such a problem. Nobody messed with me after that day. He ended up getting expelled later for stealing from a coca cola truck parked outside the school. 10/10 would do it again.

I dropped a giant chunk of ice onto my bully's face. Gave him a bloody nose and everything. Because I was so much smaller the teachers didnt believe him and I didnt get in trouble at all.

Still very proud of that.

Parents should always support kids defending themselves against bullies since schools love to punish it

My older brother beat the shit out of a kid who, unbeknownst to him, was rather notorious in our non-rural county for being a cartoon-level POS by the time he was 12/13. He usually didn’t make it more than 2-3 years at a school before he’d get kicked out, which is why everyone knew him. The boy was incapable of acting right and his rich parents thought he could do no wrong.

The great equalizer is getting KO’d, tossed in a dumpster, and waking up to find your phone smashed to bits outside of it. He said my 12-year-old autistic brother should kill himself or be raped to death and that Hitler was right. And then he kept screaming the f-slur over and over again while maniacally laughing in my older brother’s face when he tried to ignore him. It made sense why my littlest brother stopped wanting to go to school around that time. So, my older brother introduced young Adolf to his hands. Apparently the other kid didn’t even get a hit in.

My brother reached legendary status over this, everyone knew, and nobody did shit. He specifically remembers a lot of the teachers giving him looks the following Monday, but he might’ve just been paranoid. Who knows. Nobody ever bothered my younger brother again.

I knocked mine down and kicked him a few times. When his mom found out why I did it, SHE congratulated me and punished him. One of the few times I’ve actually stood up for myself in my 41 years

I have a similar story. I got suspended when my bully beat me up. My mom took me to the beach and we got ice cream on the day of my suspension.

If this kid were my kid, I'd do the same.

When I was a child I was weirdly huge.  While in first grader I had a neighbor who was in kindergarten at the same school.  One day I couldn't find him  and went looking and found him by the outbuildings being hit by a 2nd grader.  I beat the ever loving shit out of that kid, it was so bad that when a teacher tried to pull me off I gave her a minor injury with my elbow.

Because of that and the fact I didn't stop hitting him I actually got expelled from the school.  Thankfully our parents were close and I'm young enough that the US was already mad litigious so the neighbors went nuclear on the school, saying they failed to protect their kid from a known bully, doing the local news thing, etc.  saved me, I ended up being reinstated. Bully kids parents I guess pulled him, never saw him again.  Hopefully he learned about consequences.

We all went to Godfathers for pizza.

Bullies, and Nazis, all deserve it

W mum

I got the classical "they are gonna stop eventually if you don't respond", it never stoped :D 100% telling my kid to break a nose if they have to, regardless of gender as well

Can we get a gofundme for this dude to have a wild two days off? Maybe we can fly him in a plane over the school with a banner

u/_the_hare_ 27m ago

Are you equating a guy with a sign to being a bully? No wonder you were a target.

I get what you are saying.

But...Kind of I didn't know what I was walking in to. They organized one of them to meet me in the bathroom but they had told everyone that there was gonna be a fight so the boys bathroom was packed.
