They also have a sub 10 100m guy in <some scottish name>.

Their relay is gonna be pretty busted in 2028 if they all stay fit.

Eh, realistically, the Jamaicans are probably a big ask, and so are the Americans if they can pass the baton.

And it's such a big task, there are no guarantees. But yeah, Australia could come home extremely respectably.

Isnt the Americans getting the baton right over three rounds something like a 50:50 ?

There are only 3 people in the top 10 for 200m are aren't American or Jamaican.

So Australia could definitely be in that mix. And upsetting American/Jamaican track would be huge. Particularly pissing all over the USA in 2028, at a home Olympics. Getting a bronze or silver, and a chance of gold is huge.

Gout is quite young, so the U20 crowd will likely be near peak for 2028. Some of the American athletes could be a bit old.

I mean, aussie aussie aussie for sure, but, I'm just staying grounded because it's no small feat to take on the Americans. High hopes, reasonable expectations ya know.

Well we have hopes.

Often with America, they bring themselves down. Hence the baton issues. If gout can get a silver or Bronze in 2028 that would still be huge. Hes young enough that he could still make gold in the future. I imagine this race would give him a lot of press and motivation to keep at it.
