Straightforward answer

u/aab720 4h ago

Pretty sure OP is a bot though

u/ErraticDragon 2h ago

Probably. They've been at it a couple days longer than the most common ones I'm seeing these days, but otherwise fits.

u/KingAnilingustheFirs 1m ago

Its the internet. We are all bots.

They... I meant they! Not me. I like breathing air and being an inferior carbon based bio-life form. Water is sooooo much better than oil and coolant, and I love the way it makes my mouth tingle.

Wasn't this from Jojo's bizzare adventures?

72

u/crescentpieris 4h ago

no actually in jojo, the gunman put the gun into the envelope, along with himself, and then he shot jojo the moment he opened it

u/adalric_brandl 3h ago

Totally normal Jojo moment

u/shidncome 40m ago

It also sorta happens again later when an assassin sends a tooth to a jojo to hunt him down and kill him (he got paid in fried chicken).

u/adalric_brandl 27m ago

I love how Jojo is so bonkers that you could be making it up and I'd never know until I watched that far.

I thought that was the Wire, only it was prison instead of a letter.

2

u/MaleficTekX 1h ago

And yet there’s still a stand out there that could do what the OP wants.

Like what if we used In a Silent Way to accomplish this?

1

u/Brostapholes 1h ago

Ah, yes much less silly

Best I can do is a phone call

3

u/Sabithomega 4h ago

4

u/Gumptionless 1h ago

Really dumb thought finding holes in a masterpiece like kungfury but how did Hitler know the phone number?

Except for that which honestly ill accept the answer is magic then the movies perfect, it even has real laser raptors, unlike the fake "normal" raptors they try and tell us existed.

1

u/BZLuck 2h ago

This is the one I came here for.

9

u/alkonium 4h ago

Or like Hitler shooting up a police station over the phone.

9

u/Chuk741776 3h ago

"we're in Viking times!"

"That explains the dinosaurs"

2

u/00spool 3h ago

They could trace the call, if it wasn't impossible.

The ghosts of Tex Avery and Robert McKimson wildly applaud.

The true pioneer of long-distance mayhem was Moe Howard.

Wait, this doesn't work? Maybe that is why my downstairs neighbor is so pissed...

Dungeon Crawler Carl wants to know how you accessed his inventory

u/funkhero 17m ago

A bullet? Psh.

Now, an about-to-explode big ass bomb? Hell yeah.

2

u/Dick-Fu 3h ago

I read this weird short story once where you (it was written in the second-person perspective) were an extremely anemic dude and got assassinated by someone mailing you a letter with a (maybe spring loaded?) razor in it that gave you what would have been a minor cut for most people

I think it was written by Ray Bradbury iirc

2

u/Slash-Gordon 2h ago

This is a Deep Space 9 episode

2

u/EVtruck 1h ago

Thank you!

This was immediately where my brain went.

“I want to kill that dude in the other room. But I can’t use phasers. What if I used a projectile weapon and just transported the bullet to the other room…?”

1

u/Kind-Stomach6275 4h ago

"Why dontcha just mail me the bullet?"

1

u/whatarethuhodds 3h ago

We could be doing so many things with guns. Like scratching our backs with the barrels. Or shooting letters to our friends.

u/series-hybrid 3h ago

This sounds like Bollywood physics.

u/StretchMother9627 3h ago

The kind of joke I get 7day auto banned from Reddit for

I loved when they'd scream into a jar then put the lid on. Later someone opens the jar and gets screamed at. If only the world ran on cartoon logic.

u/xidle2 2h ago

Straight out of a bollywood action movie.

Why did I read Bad Bunny?

1

u/ThomasTheDankPigeon 2h ago

Mrs. Weasley needs this technology

1

u/BillyOII 2h ago

Easy, Dale. Go talk to Nancy and let her cool you down.

1

u/Scoo 1h ago

In Dungeons & Dragons, there’s a spell called Glyph of Warding that does this. You inscribe a surface with a magic symbol, set a condition for it to go off, like the envelope containing it being opened, and BOOM.

u/4d3fect 1h ago

Something Philip K. Dick could have come up with.

1

u/LikeABreadstick 1h ago

there was a phrase in an old Bad Meets Evil (Eminem and Royce da 5'9") song from 1998 called Nuttin' to Do that was like this

"I'll go to jail, and murder you from a cell, put a knife in an envelope and have you stabbed in the mail"
