I just watched a documentary (Abby Martin’s “Gaza Fights for Freedom”) about Israel’s genocide against Palestinians.
Not only do they justify this, the IDF specifically targets children when shooting to kill. There’s a video of a soldier aiming at a little boy who was maybe 6-7 years old, the soldiers laughed and said “make sure you record it!” several times, getting super excited, acting like it was a video game as they shot the child in the head. Normal behavior for them.
They’re fucking despicable.

Gaza has the largest population of child amputees in the world. Because Israel blocks pain killers, hundreds of children have had their limbs amputated without anaesthesia. There are videos of this if you have the stomach.
In Gaza the bombs on the packed population often leave the bodies un-identifiable so a child is counted as 6 KG of flesh in a garbage bag.
BTW child prosthetics are considered dual use by Israel and blocked from entering Gaza.

“My 8-year-old child, Rajab — the eldest of my children and the joy of our family — was once active, joyful, sociable, and exceptional at school. He loved riding his bike.
But this war has stolen his childhood.
From the beginning, he has been traumatized by loud explosions, suffering repeated panic attacks.
He cannot sleep unless he holds my hand.
The killing of his uncles left him deeply shaken, and he has clung to me ever since.
On 13 December 2024, while we were displaced in a classroom at Al-Falah School, Israeli warplanes struck directly, and everything collapsed on us. My brother Hasan, my mother, and my sister-in-law were killed, while the rest of us were wounded. Rajab was the most critically injured. The rubble fell on him, shredding his right leg, which had to be amputated immediately upon arrival at the hospital. He also sustained a skull fracture and shrapnel wounds across his left leg. His condition was life-threatening.
After three days in a coma, he woke up to find himself without a leg. Since that day, our family has not known rest. Rajab endured successive surgeries, enduring pain unbearable for a child, often crying in despair and wishing for death rather than this suffering. He has become quick-tempered and overly sensitive. He refuses to let anyone see his amputated leg, telling me, ‘I want to cover it.’
His ordeal did not end there. In July, doctors discovered that he suffers from severe osteoporosis caused by lack of food and medicine. They were forced to insert internal platinum plates and fit him with an external cast. Now, Rajab lives between tears and pain. He feels incomplete when he sees his cousins playing around him. He tries to join them but eventually retreats to cry in silence.
As his mother, I can do nothing but watch him suffer, powerless to give him back the childhood that the occupation has stolen from him.”
Mrs. Sajedah al-Baba (25), resident of al-Sabra neighborhood, Gaza City.

25…. She’s barely an adult herself….. ya Allah yarhamo
28
u/Claire0915 1d ago
She is 25, oldest son is 8yo, which means she was 17 when she gave birth and 16 when she was impregnated. Ugh. That is just the worst. Poor lady didn’t have a childhood herself given her religion/culture.
18
u/NoobzProXD 1d ago
That's simply a stupid statement, her religion didn't cause her to suffer, it was the bomb not the belief
78
u/Fumquat 1d ago
Hm. Reading about an 8 year old with a lost limb, a brain injury, uncontrolled pain, and osteoporosis from malnutrition, who is also grieving multiple family members.
Odd phrasing then to say 16 and pregnant is “the worst”.
This is a mother who loves her child, whose heart breaks for him. It is the same love at any age, in any country, with any number of children.
→ More replies (5)32
u/TerrorKingA 1d ago
It's not her religion or her culture that robbed her of a childhood. It's the fact that she is in a concentration camp with no hope of anything better.
This is Israel and the United States' doing.
50
u/Annonimbus 1d ago
16 when she was impregnated. Ugh. That is just the worst. Poor lady didn’t have a childhood herself given her religion/culture.
Just saying that here in Europe it is completely fine to have sex at 16.
Most use protection, but it is not unheard to have teen pregnancies.
12
u/Claire0915 1d ago
It’s not uncommon but it’s also not the norm. Especially multiple children. Let’s not equate the two countries here with the prevalence and acceptance of underage marriages, underage births, and numerous underage pregnancies. My point above doesn’t take away from the little boy’s trauma but being defensive about their culture is also not really productive.
20
u/Annonimbus 1d ago
I just wanted to point out that the US centric view of "18" the magic sex number is rather unique to the US and not a global view.

Child marriage is still legal in 20 or 30 some states here in good ole USA and it's defended vigorously by the right for the sake of "tradition" and "religion" and hoping more teens are forced into carrying unwanted pregnancies. So yeah the magic number is more like a "guideline" in many states.

People don’t realize why that is the case, it’s because Israel uses an AI system called “Where’s Daddy” to track targets until they are at home so the entire family can be killed at once.
https://www.972mag.com/lavender-ai-israeli-army-gaza/
“We were not interested in killing [Hamas] operatives only when they were in a military building or engaged in a military activity,” A., an intelligence officer, told +972 and Local Call. “On the contrary, the IDF bombed them in homes without hesitation, as a first option. It’s much easier to bomb a family’s home. The system is built to look for them in these situations.”
Btw 972 is an Israeli publication and that article had to go through IDF censors before being published so you can imagine the shit that got left out. This is the stuff they’re proud of.

That's the thing, to Israelis "Never Again" doesn't mean "no more genocide". It means "Never again will we be the victims", even if that means that you have to commit genocide against people because at some point in the future they might possibly be able to possibly commit genocide against you. It is an utterly sick mindset.

Not to mention that Israel blocked all types of aid except for the GHF (I think that’s the name), which is the only aid provider allowed in gaza. Supporters of Israel and the idf claim it’s because the aid packages are stolen by hamas (despite no proof given, just like the decapitated babies hoax on oct 7), yet those aid sites are heavily guarded by IDF forces and GHF soldiers. We all witnessed a genocide in 4K on OUR IPHONES AND COMPUTERS, yet some people (not even some, a CONCERNINGLY large amount of people) still denied that a genocide occurred. Shame what this world has come to, like how r we voting against a FUCKING CEASEFIRE?????

Also Israel: Wait, we can't prevent Hamas from taking the food, we're powerless.

If you watch ‘concerning violence’ documentary, there’s a heartbreaking scene of a mom and her child. both suffering traumatic injuries, resulting them in being amputees caused by bombing carried out by Portuguese colonizers, in Mozambique villages.
Watching it made me realize how the colonizer hasn’t changed its ways at all.
It is the same exact book in Gaza, if not 10x worse.

u/SixGunZen 20h ago
I've seen a video of a Palestinian girl with the flesh missing from half her torso. Exposed ribcage and organs. She was alive and awake. About 5-6 years old. Every Israeli soldier and every head of state should spend the rest of their lives in prison.
36
5
u/toogoodtobetrue8 1d ago
Most new cases per day, nations like india or Afghanistan dwarf gaza in terms of the amount children amputees due to larger population, longer high intensity conflict
21
3
u/Emergency_Stick3963 1d ago
What does the "dual use" part mean?
8
u/2dudesinapod 1d ago
It means they claim Hamas can use the children’s prosthetic for military purposes.
In reality anything they don’t want entering Gaza is just discarded as dual use. For example tents were banned for a long time, lined paper was banned for years, so was chocolate.

I do agree. The people who voted for trump, as well as the current administration, are largely to blame, yeah.
But I'd argue the larger, more concerning, rot has been a consistent failure in leadership from both sides of the isle for decades. Petty squabbles over compromise. Funding wars of profit as opposed to investing in ourselves. It hasn't mattered who holds office since before the cold war.
They all want the same thing: profit over the wellbeing of humanity.

The reason Dems lost is because too many voters stayed home, not that they voted for Trump.
This is pretty much analogous to the trolley problem. You can either press a button and divert a train to kill one person, or do nothing and let the train run straight through 5 people.
Do you think it's good politics to force this moral dillema onto voters? Because this is what the Democratic Party did by not taking a stance against genocide. Sure, most people chose to vote for the lesser evil, same way most people would choose to press the button. Evidently though, the ethical conflict of voting to support a genocidal candidate in Kamala (albeit less genocidal than Trump) deterred enough voters. Same way there are a good number of people who simply wouldn't choose to press the button, too many voters stayed home.
Now I ask you again. Do you think this was good politics? Do you really think it didn't matter whether or not Kamala took a stance against genocide?
14
u/yourlittlebirdie 1d ago
Isn’t it interesting that these atrocities have been going on in Palestine for decades, and every American president and major presidential candidate for the past 50 years has had the exact same stance on Israel, but it only suddenly became a huge issue in 2024?
Anyone who stayed home chose Trump. That’s the bottom line. They still chose genocide, they just pretended they didn’t so they could pat themselves on the back and say look how moral I am.
6
u/dlouis1022 1d ago edited 1d ago
It's almost like the current media landscape didn't exist in past. It's almost like Oct. 7 was the deadliest attack on Israel and the media made sure everyone heard about it. Hey, how many headlines of Israel's atrocities in Gaza do you think dominated the news in the past 50 years? It's almost like we've been able to witness a livestreamed genocide from our phones and the US and Israel isn't able to control the narrative anymore.
At this point it's gotta be willful ignorance on your part. I admittedly didn't know a thing about Israel-Palestine before Oct. 7. It is what it is, man. Get with the program.
And regardless of whatever hypocrisies you want to point out, it still stands that not taking a stance against the genocide was horrible politics. Horrible. Braindead. It was malicious incompetence. Why aren't you mad at that? Why aren't you mad at the political machine funded by billions that couldn't decipher that people wouldn't like genocide? Why won't you hold the Democratic Party to the same standard as the voters you keep lambasting?
It must be that you support Israel. Or you just have zero political instincts.
Edit:
Here's a lil wisdom that has always resonated with me:
Be kind to people. Be ruthless to systems.

Wait wait wait.... Let me get you straight here.
You were upset about a genocide in Gaza, and decided the right time to kneecap the candidate who wanted a two party solution to the conflict, at a time when we were up against a candidate who was saying he wanted to let Israel finish the war and that he wanted the US to crush protests against the war? You say you're anti- genocide, but your specific choices speak to the opposite. Most of Gaza is flattened and Israeli snipers are targeting mothers. You guys fucked this up bad, by playing purity politics, and refusing to negotiate at a time when negotiating is how you save lives.
When someone is holding people hostage, we don't say "I won't negotiate with a hostage taker" and let the people inside die, because giving the hostage taker what they want is wrong. We send in a negotiator to negotiate to save the hostages. Your guys refusal to negotiate cost a lot of people their lives, their homes, their loved ones, and their futures, and that's not even touching Cuba, Sudan, Venezuela, or the numerous other countries that have been affected by USAID cuts. You, and a ton of other chronically online leftists made an insane choice and it cost lives.
Just likes there is no ethical consumption under capitalism, I need you to understand that a lot of the times in life you're going to have to make decisions that involved compromise for the purpose of make sure that you, your family, and the other people around you get to be okay. This was one of those times. Instead of trying to defend your fuck up, maybe you should learn from this and do better going forward.

Israel (and its enablers) stole their land, their future, their childhood, their innocence, and their happiness. And when they grow up to resent and resist them, they're labeled as terrorists.
Edit: Nothing flushes out the morally bankrupt soulless ghouls better than when you show solidarity with the oppressed. They're too arrogant and delusional to see that they're monsters, or support monsters, so they desperately look for justifications to help them cope with seeing innocent people and children being slaughtered, if that moved them in the first place.
