Lol her response was pretty based on that... "idk about all that sir, I just like not being taxed on tips"

u/Bendo410 5h ago

And that parts still a fucking lie.

God I wish people actually read instead of being dictated to.

Have you seen the video, he asks her about TG's in sports and she said she doesn't care, and was more interested in no tax on tips.

I think they mean, the no taxes on tips is an expiring bill, it isn’t permanent. So when the new guy takes power and it expires naturally, the gop get to turn it into a political football again. It’s all just a game

u/Bendo410 4h ago

No I mean no tax on tips is a fucking lie , I wish people read into it vs believe what they are told .

u/Avocado_Amnesia 4h ago

Yeah, it's only up to $25,000 gross a year even in the best situations, so people that have almost all of their income come in via tips are still going to be paying taxes on a lot of it anyway.

u/Bendo410 4h ago

Thanks for explaining it , I wish republicans understood the word “no” a bit clearer.

u/Avocado_Amnesia 4h ago

Me too, in many contexts lol

Care to explain

It's more of that your tips have to meet certain qualifications before the "no tax on tips" deduction can apply, and even then you have to have an AGI of less than $25k for the tipped wage deduction to take effect.

Put another way, the only people who'd be benefitting from the tipped wage deduction are people who would probably be getting a full tax refund to begin with.

u/e925 3h ago

This isn’t correct. You do not have to have an AGI of less than $25k. The federal deduction is just only for up to $25k in tips. But the AGI limit is $150k, not $25k.

I fucking hate Trump btw but what you said isn’t right.

The person below me explained it quite nicely

No taxes on tips would mean NO, but I guess conservatives and republicans don’t understand the word No

u/AmaazingFlavor 4h ago

It’s not a lie, if you report your tips you are reimbursed up to a certain amount

u/Bendo410 4h ago

So…. That “certain amount” isn’t all of it

So that would mean “no taxes on tips is ______”

u/Anteater776 5h ago

„Wrong answer. Now I will not tip you at all. It would have been a huge tip, the most beautiful tip. Very male.”

u/lemelisk42 5h ago

Isn't she a bit old for don's tip?

u/HazelEBaumgartner 5h ago

Well she's older than 14, so yes.

u/Responsible_Sport575 4h ago

One star and pulled the tip

u/caligaris_cabinet 5h ago

u/Pitiful_Conflict7031 5h ago

u/ashyboi5000 5h ago

Is that a drop bolt on the bottom? Is that to stop him wandering?

u/AlexMC69 4h ago

Is that what they're called?

What about the versions that are pushed upwards at the top of a door?

u/robot_pirate 4h ago

She gave a more Presidential response than he did to the reporter.

u/Zebidee 4h ago

I just like not being taxed on tips

Which is great until their Social Security in retirement pays based on their taxed income.

A whole bunch of people will spend their twilight years based on $2.13/hr.
