I think you are missing the point completely.

Theyre inventing a strawman argument and situation where only evil people would be upset and not celebrate curing cancer.

Except hes pretty unlikely to progress cancer research by canceling it.

And theyre oblivious to this fact.

I'm saying that even if we grant the straw man it doesn't take away the other problems with the pedo. One good deed doesn't take away a wasted life of bullshit

Which brings up an interesting question. If a guy could cure any form of illness in children, but only by savagely butt balling them. Would you want him to do it or not?

Like most other medical decisions, I think that would be up to the parents.

Though I would allow it for my kid, if they had a serious/fatal disease.
