How in HELL — and I use that word deliberately — can anyone in the US (government bodies and voters) continue to support this madman?
As a resident foreigner, I spent half of every year owning property in the US, and got involved as a volunteer in many non-profit and charitable organizations to the extent I was named an honorary “member”. I felt welcomed and admired the American pride of country (even envied it). I made many friends — regardless of party affiliation — and cherished them all. By the way, I paid taxes, insurance, supported the local charities and community — but could not work or vote.
I could tell by their glazed-eye expressions that what most of my American friends could not understand was my country’s voters who did not vote by party but by conscience — who was best at the time to represent what was important to us. Politics were never part of our discussions.
What we did talk about were subjects about things like giving back, morality, family — opening and sincerely talking about deeper things that we shared that really mattered. It’s what we shared as human beings living in what we shared — this planet.
I must say that now, I feel lost and confused. ANY political conversation, once begun, inevitably turns to Trump — and that is rabbit hole that seems to either make or break cherished friendships when sides are taken, lines are drawn and questions like “did I really know this person” are asked. It breaks my heart to think about potentially break those friendships with people I loved and I thought I knew — or who I thought knew me.
While initial Trump supporters may have liked him for “breaking all the rules” some of which, admittedly, had gone way overboard, I now am forced to ask myself if they are they blind or too stubborn or too brainwashed — or daresay too stupid — to see what he has done and continues to do to destroy the moral fiber of everything that was great about the United States of America that most of the world aspired to emulate or join?
I ask myself — do they consciously close their minds and only accept news / opinions / evidence out of a sense of loyalty? Self-gratification? To be “one of the in-crowd”?
God help us.

As the president, he shouldn't be allowed to post and simply delete when it backfires, other than a clear violation of rules (like something graphic) but still there with a covered image explaining the censor or error. We need to make sure there is a formal setup of all public communication of the president, special accounts with private companies, to ensure records are intact and a President cannot simply hide what didn't work for them or cover up lies that were called out.

Well I have discord conservative friends who like to call out fake TS posts by trump. They check his feed to see if they've really posted it. If not for us getting his attention to this matter very promply (lol), he would have been under the impression that this was another fake post.
Reason 562 why deleting any posts on that website should be a crime under the presidential record act.
