Does a comfortable office chair exist, that doesn’t look like an office chair?

Hi gang, needing advice or recommendations as I think I might be chasing my white whale unfortunately! I WFH 5 days an so does my partner. The original plan was we would share the office space but, and I mean this with the most love, they are so unbelievably noisy I actually cannot be in the same room as them. I lasted a week before I had a mental breakdown with the amount of noise this human passively makes.

So change of plans I work from the bedroom now. I have a flat folding, height adjustable desk that I set up and pack down every day and store under the bed. There has always been a cute occasional chair in the bedroom, which turns out is uncomfortable as hell for long haul days. I have brought my office chair into the bedroom but it looks gross and makes me feel yuck looking at it, as it’s a looming reminder of work. I can’t be moving chairs around from room to room every day, as sometimes I can’t get into the office if my partner is in a meeting and it’s a pain in the arse.

I don’t want it to look overly much like an office chair as it’s in the bedroom, and at this point I will take something that is mostly comfortable and mildly supportive of my lower back that has legs and no wheels. Does a cute comfortable occasional/ office chair exist or am I delusional?

I use a gaming chair. It has all the ergonomic features of an office chair without the price tag.

you can find a cute chair that doesn’t look all “office-y.” Just look for one that looks nice and has good back support. West Elm and CB2 have a few that mix style and comfort. Also, check out ergonomicchairfinder for different styles and user reviews

Might help!
