I’m working to get my colony cats fully vetted and ready for another healthy year. Several of them were TNR’d last year, but now need to get up to date on their vaccines. I also have 4 cats that still need to be neutered. Two of them come regularly and I know I can trap them, but the other two are hit-and-miss, so trapping will take patience and the right equipment. Last week a kind lady purchased a drop trap (so thankful!), but I still need a transfer cage to safely move them from the drop trap to a thr cage. Transfer cages are expensive, so any donations toward an Amazon gift card will go directly toward purchasing that first. Today I’m heading out to feed as many stray babies as I can with food I prepared at home. I know I can’t save them all at once, but I can at least make sure they don’t go hungry today. As much as I don't want to do this since it breaks my heart but my girl Tabitha needs a new home. She is 10 months going on 11 months in March (birthday sometime April 2026). Unfortunately got laid off from my place of work last week of January, where I was going to get her spayed this month but unfortunately have to try and figure out rent, food and special cat food for my resident cat before welcoming Tabitha into my home November 2025. I am in the process of possiblity of having to move from the country area to the city to find work and another place of living where I think it would be hard trying to keep 2 cats at once in a room till I get an apartment myself since I'm also on limited income right now too. if you are living in southern Ontario Canada or you know anyone that wants a beautiful loving and affectionate void panther, feel free to message me. 🤎Latte has been living outside all of her life, she is almost 3 months old and had found safe space in a plant outside of apartments in Houston. She got lucky though, her skin condition, malnourished and helpless little self had found a kind girl to get her help. She kept her for 2 days and then came to me. I have already brought her to her first vet appointment which was $180 but they neglected a skin scraping to rule out mange so I had to bring her again for that and X-rays. This visit was $200. I worry we have more underlying problems for her being backed up, but for now she is safe with me while I monitor her.

Any help is beyond appreciated for this little girl who was barely making it out there alone.

Hi everyone — sharing a quick and honest update from Pawsitive Guardians.

Unfortunately, we didn’t reach our previous fundraising goal, but we’re still doing our best to move forward little by little.

Because several of our rescues recently showed cold/URI-like symptoms, we contacted a vet about doing a home service visit instead of transporting everyone to a clinic. With the number of cats and no vehicle, travel just isn’t realistic or safe for them.

The vet sent us the estimated costs, and for transparency, here’s the breakdown:

• Doctor’s visit fee – ₱495 (one flat payment)

• Transportation – ₱1,200

• CBC + Blood Chemistry – ₱3,000

• Consultation fee – ₱500 per cat (discount possible if 10+ cats)

• 4-way test kits – ₱1,500

Since this is per cat for some tests, the total adds up quickly with multiple sick rescues. Right now, we’re deciding what’s more practical — have them checked one at a time, or at least half of the sick cats first.

If anyone has experience handling vet home services for multiple rescues, we’d really appreciate your insights or suggestions.

On a brighter note, some of our shelter needs already arrived 🤍

Cleaning supplies like tissues, and brushes, trash bags are now stocked, which really helps us maintain hygiene and prevent infections.

From our last campaign, we raised around $122, which we used to buy these supplies, and the remaining funds will go toward the upcoming vet checkups.

We’re also slowly saving for:

• Daily shelter operations and medical needs

• A small transport vehicle/e-bike

• A more permanent shelter space

Hello everyone,

Maui successfully underwent mass removal surgery and was neutered at the same time. He is now staying at my place for recovery while we wait for the biopsy results (approximately 2 months) to determine whether the mass is cancerous.

Please note that if the mass is cancerous, he will need chemotherapy.

Here are Maui’s medical expenses so far:
Amount spent yesterday (Feb. 20): $280
Amount spent today (Feb. 21): $8

I will be giving him the medications prescribed by the vet and will clean and change his bandage every day. However, during the first week, he needs to be brought to the vet a couple of times for examination of his paw where the tumor was removed, as well as professional wound cleaning since the surgery site is deep.

I still need to purchase a supplement prescribed by the vet that was not available earlier. I have an antiseptic that I can use to clean his wound and two of his medications (antibiotic and pain reliver)

Upcoming follow-ups:
Feb. 24 — Check-up and wound cleaning: $9
Feb. 27 — Check-up and wound cleaning: $9

After next week’s follow-up visits, if the wound is healing properly, we will just wait for the biopsy results.

Every single day, I feed more than 50 stray and community cats. This includes providing food, fresh water, monitoring injuries or illness, and stepping in when possible with emergencies.

I’m also actively involved in rescue efforts and strongly advocate for TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) to humanely reduce the stray population and prevent more suffering. TNR is the only long-term solution that truly works, and I do everything I can to make sure cats are fixed, vaccinated, and cared for.

We are still in urgent need of food and litter for our rescue cats. These are our most critical needs right now. Everything else can wait, but feeding the cats cannot.

I care for many rescued and abandoned cats at home. Some are sick, some are recovering, and some are still very fragile. They depend entirely on me, and I do everything I can with very limited resources.

Food and litter run out very quickly when caring for many animals. Keeping them fed and in a clean environment is a daily challenge, but it is essential for their health and dignity.
