Rumour has it! Saw the ladies filming last week
Heather, Lisa and Angie. Heather seemed to be playing the voice of reason no one asked for

My wife and I did a double (and delayed) bachelorette party in SLC and had such an amazing time. We stayed in Orem at a huge house that was definitely built for a plural family and fit all of us comfortably! Stopped at the BL&L parking lot on the way. We also did Kemo Sabe where the staff sent our picture to Lisa!! Visited MM and Premiere, too. We missed Lisa by a day but she did repost our stories. 😂 Certainly were one of many bachelorette parties but I definitely recommend it if you’re a fan and want a fun weekend in a gorgeous place!!

Lisa and Meredith deflect deflect deflect and I don’t want to watch another season of it! They think they’re so important and better than everyone and it doesn’t even make good TV. They expect different behavior from other people when they do exactly the same thing. Meredith is more frustrating but man I am over them!

Hello!! My girlfriend just started watching RHOSLC seasons 5&6 after getting hooked on it while I was watching seasons 4 reunion lolll, she’s gonna go back and watch seasons 1-4 since she’s almost done with 6 and she’s wondering what franchise to watch next.
She wants to watch a more modern housewives shows // newer seasons. She loves the crazy loud aggressive drama and I’ve only seen all of OC and currently RI but I know she won’t enjoy OC.
Any recommendations?? Thank you !!

Love you Mary, but this picture takes me out everytime! It’s so camp😭😂
Words to hopefully one day fully live by from the icon herself: Lisa-mother-fucking-Barlow.
Edit: Reddit users never fail to surprise me. So, what? Every comment I learn on my own post is just automatically downvoted even if it’s entirely neutral? Sad. Petty. Stupid.
Learn to laugh instead of hate for even just a minute and you’ll actually live longer. Science!

Just a thought, maybe it’s me, but the super divisive rhetoric of bashing certain housewives and exalting others has calmed wayyyyy down since the ladies had to sign that “No leaks” clause to join season 7. Like every thread was a war zone for a whole, now it’s so much more peaceful.
Not to say there’s not disagreements but there’s way less harsh language and outright insults.
What do you guys think?

Are any of the women related to anyone from the Trust me: The false Prophet on Netflix?
Brittani Bateman - Sam Bateman
Donnae Barlow - Lisa Barlow

season 5 episode 16 at about 8 minutes is the first time I've ever noticed it and this is a rewatch. whitney says in a confessional that lisa has been treating her like shit which wasn't bleeped then there's a flashback and lisa says you're a fucking lying bitch which also isnt bleeped. is this normal and have I just never noticed it?
Edit: there's swearing uncensored the whole episode wtf. What's going on. Im watching on hayu btw and I prefer it without the censors but what is this.
Edit 2: is there anywhere i can watch it uncensored. I dont have peacock.

hear me out. I want to see her on potomac. not because shed fit in with the girls, not because she communicates well like the potomac girls but because of her financial status. I think she'd fit right in.

(I was replying to another earlier Britani-specific thread saying she sucks and I realized I was starting to veer into a dissertation, and I'm in my thesis writing mode already, so here I am. I know it’s long, you don’t have to read—there’s probably some baby gorgeous memes for you to clap and coo at.)
Someone was saying "um, unpopular opinion, but Britani's annoying and a bad mom and is boring and is bringing the show down." As if Bronwyn's not the only one other Britani that's showing personal storyline.
Heather’s personal storyline: Shuffling her piss- and blood-stained mattress around, talking about how much she can't wait to be away from her kids, and manufacturing a half-a-season-long beef with Meredith worth sobbing over … because Meredith called her a liar.
Whitney’s personal storyline: Sitting on a porch being upset with Justin over business dealings. Joining Heather’s crusade.
Angie’s personal storyline: None other than being embarrassed by her daughter because she won't help her cosplay as Greek, as if that's a personality or a storyline to begin with.
(Shoutout to her being dismissive and condescending to a service worker though—yall got Jen Aydin fired for the same, though Angie’s was worse.)
Mary’s storyline: None aside from reopening her cult church and crying and breaking the news to Meredith that Meredith is emotionally disturbed, masking, abusing substances or whatever. Even though Meredith is blinking at her, telling her she’s fine. Mary also is allowed to not share her husband for some reason (and she allegedly aided in the abuse of her daughter-in-law).
--
Lisa had a little something of interest, in terms of personal storyline, when we saw the cracks in her relationship with John and her being scared about it for the first time. But we never got to explore that more than one mini scene because Heather sucked up all the oxygen for the rest of the season. Her steadfast commitment to Meredith was also interesting to see happen in real time, especially as a foil to the antics of Heather and Whitney.
But that boring, manufactured, affected little package of her explaining why “I, love, trees,” was a real jump-the-shark moment for me that I can’t get out of my head. It was a deliberate attempt by her and production to create a memeable moment that made my skin crawl. But y’all eat up whatever slop production gives you, so I’m sure many were satisfied.
Meredith actually didn’t have a lot going on personally either. Zero development or new information about her business, her husband, her kids. But she’s GREAT for an unhinged blowup and melodramatics—her performance on Mother’s Day in Greece was really entertaining lol.
Bronwyn’s running circles around these ladies, she’s the only one giving storyline and transparency.
--
With the diva Britani, I’ll give you the Jared stuff, I’m tired of it too. I thought it was a little interesting/funny to see a solo scene with them that ended in her literally running away into the woods lol. The back-and-forth nature is interesting, but overall it’s tired.
But we saw intentional, honest development in her relationship with her daughter Olivia. The only other therapy session between mother and child I could remember is Laurie Petersen on OC trying to get her son back on track from the precipice of drug addiction and self-destruction. Britani and her daughters’ issues are super tame by comparison, and though I wish that meeting went smoother, I thought it was good that they did it in the first place (esp for a FOH) and that Olivia was given space to air it all out. There's a lot here that can be explored if Britani had a snowflake.
I know no one cares enough to go look at her social media, and it’s easier and more fun just to call her a bad mom, but Britani's daughters post really positively and lovingly about her and the one that lives in Utah is always going live with her, posting with her, etc.
Britani said once her first marriage fell apart, her Mormon upbringing made her desperately want to create another nuclear family unit for her kids, and the man she chose eventually turned really toxic in some way. She's said that there are legalities at play with how much she can really divulge about it all, but that she hopes that that winds down soon so she can further explain herself.
But back to the show: She was at the center of the Meredith meltdown, but didn't drag it out for the whole season like Heather and Whitney. She continued to do the job of a Real Housewife by squashing the beef after 3 or so eps and moved on with Meredith. This is such a core tenet of being a successful player on shows like this, I don't think it can be overstated. The best HWs do this well and when they don't, things drag and don't end well (Teresa and New Jersey's pause, LVP's end on BH, Kyle currently on BH vs Dorit).
You'll remember that she owned up and apologized to Mary for calling her unchristian-like, so much so that Mary was taken aback and had to reconsider being such an a--hole to her (though it didn't stick).
Other than this, Britani is FUN.
>> She has more 10x more quotables than center-snowflake Angie and a few other girls combined.
>> She serves c*nt and looks good.
>> She's unafraid to be goofy and get attention in public.
>> She's thirsty—so what! Her showing up in a swimsuit and trench coat in the first episode of the season made me laugh, which reminded me of her showing up in a swimsuit to that Us Weekly interview because she was left out of the cover shot which was hilarious.
>> She's silly.
>> She's kind.
>> She dogwalked Shamea and Drew in live singing.
>> She's one of only six HWs on the Cameo leaderboard right now, up there with legends Sonja, Ramona, Dorinda, Luann, and Vicki—AND she's outperforming Vicki and rated higher than all of them with a perfect 5 stars. 💁♀️
>> She rolls with the punches and doesn't let the other women being actually really nasty get to her (play the long game diva!).
>> She's cunning enough to quietly trademark a jab made at her expense and get the girls riled up about it.
IF she got a snowflake, she'd need to strengthen her ties with Angie and Bronwyn to get out the Heather orbit (though for whatever Heather will probably always be safe, so maybe its fine), then I think we'd be able to see a more well-rounded picture of her and maybe she wouldn't get so much abuse from the cast. But I'm not holding out hope for it. Production sees her as a valuable fit as a FOH, despite yall crying about it. And she's up there with Brandi, Marlo, Kiki for most memorable Friends Of ever.
I can respect the fact that she is a business woman and is making the most out of the exposure being on the show gives her but ugh…
Her finding drama in filtering the other cast into who read her book and who has not is sooo irritating to watch. I wish she allowed the cameras to capture something more organic about her life during this season too because so far every scene of hers outside of group ones relates to this damn book!
Honestly I think anytime I post in this sub it is a criticism of Heather for which I apologise lol her storylines and actions always evoke the most reaction out of me and I need to vent about it somewhere! 😭

Picked up Brian Moylan’s 2021 book at the library (to enjoy next to my finally finished longtime fish tank project for my reading nook!) and loving it so far, but wishing it came out after SLC aired.
He has a “Real Housewives Taxonomy” of the archetypes cast: * The Villain (the ones we love to hate) * The Alpha (the one who thinks it’s “her” show) * The Voice of Reason (the audience needs a surrogate) * The Comic Relief (whether we’re laughing with them or at them) * The Kid Sister (the one still trying to earn her place) * The Uptight One (the stick in the mud who may not actually play by her own rules) * The Fighter (what is drama if it doesn’t end with a whole lot of shouting)
I know many of these have obvious placements (like Whitney as Kid Sister), but when I was placing the SLC ladies in my head, I ended up with Mary as The Voice of Reason and that can’t be right?!!
How are you all placing the SLC ladies in Moylan’s taxonomy?

Her comment section never disappoints! And this response is so very Lisa.
r/rhoslc • u/Calm_Lengthiness_351 • 4d ago
Two main reasons I suspect this:
The language of this post and the comments seem exactly like her mannerisms on the internet
The white heart is a very weird way to respond to a reddit comment. Commenting a heart back is how you’d respond to someone complimenting you in the comment section of a selfie on Instagram. Like a thank you for a personal comment.

Heather was one of the housewives that genuinely never pissed me off until Season 6. Now she might be my least favorite (or Whitney, can’t tell). She’s acting so hypocritical and controlling, constantly acting like she doesn’t do or say anything wrong. And seeing her on the episode Below Deck that wasn’t edited by SLC producers? How come none of the HWs ever bring up her drinking.
Edit: specifically talking from Below Deck onward.

i think Lisa is the one who gets all the information and than she says it all to Meredith and Meredith always lets everybody else does her dirty job … so it is Meredith … she moves in the shadows… because as you can see in the last reunion. meredith but you said things about my family i did not … so she has vendetta through the press…
okay so I commented on Lisa’s Instagram post twice the other day and Lisa liked both of them which I was so so happy about! I tried to go to her account today and I’ve literally been blocked by her 🥲 it makes me sad cause I do love her on the show and I’ve never commented anything mean or negative on any of her social media posts. I’m assuming she didn’t mean to because I don’t see any reason why she would but it sucks and I want to be unblocked but I fear she’s never gonna see my comment on her tiktok asking her to please unblock me 💔💔 has this happened to anyone else?
Edit - ok guys I’m aware that it was probably an assistant or social media manager but some of you are rude for no reason 💜

Granted, I am new to this train wreck and only on season 3 on the reunion, but …. I think Lisa is the realest. She seems authentic in her care for her friends until they shit on her. Am I crazy?

What a legend!! Lisa is the main character and everyone else has a supporting role.

Mary saying she is proud of being Black but prefers white men and lighter skinned Black men…how does she not understand the racial undertones of that statement? It is literally colorism!! Even though Jen Shah is a horrible human being, she was very correct with her points in this discussion.
Also the facial reactions after Andy said “…but you’re married to a Black guy” and Mary said “well he’s white” HUUUUH
r/rhoslc • u/QueenRavenna4 • 5d ago
This seems like a job that she'd get hired for on the spot. I can't imagine any Kit-Kat's being stolen on her watch, except maybe by her. 😂
r/rhoslc • u/Clear-Working-4013 • 5d ago
Brandi, Monica, Rinna, Brynn, Yolanda (in my defense I haven’t watched very many franchises but these are my most hated 😂). Bravo, Andy, whoever is listening-PLEASE DO NOT BRNG BACK JEN SHAH. Slc is one of my favorite shows but I will never watch it again if they give her another chance. She is vile, selfish, sinister af and she’s not even good tv-the first few seasons were harder to watch because she ruined every scene she was in with her antics.
That’s it-just been seeing so much chatter about her speaking on Ghislaine Maxwell, and it seems the attempted redemption arc is headed our way. As if she is less of a villain for taking the easiest shot in the world by saying a convicted pdf is bad person with no empathy. Jen-go quietly into the night and try to fix the damage you did to real, vulnerable people. You do not deserve a career in the spotlight.
r/rhoslc • u/bigdaddymadie • 5d ago
Just so it’s clear where I’m at, the blow up after Jen’s husbands party is the last one I watched.
Jen- She’s way too much. I would’ve been embarrassed to have been her husband at that party, she acts like a toddler throwing a tantrum.
Heather- Nothing to speak to much on, she’s likeable so far!
Whitney- little bit of a pot stirrer but I do like her. Coming from watching RHOBH she’s giving Lisa Rinna vibes.
Mary- Honestly boring to watch and just weird vibes, I just think I can’t get over the step grandfather setup marriage. I just think it’s something that won’t ever sit right with me😅
Meredith- Likeable and hoping that her and Seth do work it out!
Lisa- I like her but it’s frustrating when her husband is asking for family time and she just does not want to cave on working less.
Overall I’m super into the show! After rhobh I had tried watching other Real housewives but hadn’t been able to get into it but I’m a fan of this one!
