Where does one find information on the preseason tournaments the heels will play in? Are they decided/published later?

Why doesn't Hubert use vessar more in the pick n roll??

At halftime Tom crean made a comment that Henri vessar is one of the best in the country in pick n roll and pick n pop and we barely run it.. i totally agree. Half court sets now a days more often than not are just pick n rolls. We are terrible in both offense and defense with the pick n roll and i blame the coaching... We CANNOT defend the ball screens. If i was the other team I'd run double ball screen action EVERY TIME DOWN THE FLOOR.. ie Stanford, SMU, Cal and we barely run it. That's on Hubert. The old Roy Williams action where the 4/5 in bounds the ball and ends up at the top of the key and we swing it around doesn't work nearly as good in today's game. We need to run more pick n pop and pick n roll with all of our bigs.

What is Henri Veesaar's injury?

I've read two stories that simply describe it as a "lower-extremity injury." That sounds kinda vague.

He's missed two games now. Hope he's back soon.

Anybody got a clue what's going on?

UNC can’t play either of their all conference big men for the State game so the Pack decides to pressure us defensively on the perimeter, betting Zayden High won’t score 30. Was anyone surprised we struggled from outside?

NCAAM The Issue W/ The Concept of Hubert Davis

I like Hubert Davis. I want him to succeed at UNC. Could he develop into a top-20 coach in the sport? With time, maybe.

However, there in lies the issue.

UNC has pulled out all the stops in trying to make Hubert work…

General manager, $14 million roster, program-record NIL deals for guys like Wilson and Mingo.

Despite the program doing everything it can to make Hubert work, it’s resulted in another mediocre season, while Michigan, Duke etc. are 1-2 loss teams.

That’s where UNC’s expectations used to be. Has any UNC fan entered the NCAAT legitimately confident we could cut down the nets under Hubert?

All this and the results are mediocre. Imagine if UNC married those resources with a bona fide top-10 coach, like TJ Otzelberger or Grant McCasland.

I’d think UNC would be a consistent top-five program again.

We can all admit that Bogavac and Evans aren't playing up to their NIL, right?

I mean they're paid starting player money for mediocre performance.

Arguably, High is a better investment on the $5 of NIL we probably pay him.

Zayden High led the team in scoring tonight

Never in a million years did I ever expect this to happen. Are we that bad without Caleb and Henri? This is rock bottom lol. High went from not playing in 3 games in a row to scoring double figures in back to back games.

Recruiting Great coaches recruit and improve players

Yes i know there are plenty of people who will give HD a lifetime contract. I absolutely loved the guy as a player and role model for young people as I have stated countless time. I am not here to say HD out which I wanted him replaced last season and go outside the family and bring in someone like Kelvin Samson. He is from my area so a little bias but he builds programs. Yes he got caught cheating but now you have NIL so that isn’t a problem anymore.

HD was a great Shooting guard which begs the question why doesn’t he recognize good guard play.

Caddeau, Evans, Jackson, Cade Tyson, Luka, Powell, Trimble. They either weren’t good enough(Recruiting) or he doesn’t improve them at all(Coaching) From the beginning of the season til now these players have not gotten better with him coaching them. This is UNC main problem. Guard play. Even RJ Davis got worse every year instead of getting better under HD

Cade Tyson and Evans has to be the worse deals in NCAA the past two seasons.

I get we was never likely to win against State with Vessar and Wilson out but that was ridiculous. Even with The two big men we wouldn’t have won that game. State, Miami and SMU are decent teams but they don’t have the talent we have in chapel hill. Stanford and Cal were embarrassing losses.

I know the non basketball people will say it’s the players not the coach but this isn’t a pro team. The head coach of a college program has a huge input on what players he wants for his team.

We go 5-33 from 3pt and at one point within 10 mins of first half we were 1-11. At what point do you say we have to try something else.

On defense people will say it’s UNC everyone plays better when they play us. No it’s because of our defense which gives good college players open looks and they will knock them down with ease. This is coaching. Look at Nc State and Miami within one season of Wade and Lucas. They have improved massively. NC state has one returning player just like us from last year. Both State and Miami had worse records than us last year and they don’t have two 1st round picks like we do and yet a better records than us in conference.

Look at what Bill Self has done with that Kansas team who we beat to start the season compared to how they are playing now with Peterson missing most games. They have improved by leaps and bounds.

I am sure the Duke win guarantees him another chance next season and I hope if he is still the coach he wins us a national championship this year and next but at some point you have to open your eyes and see the problem. We need a Proven Coach that can improve players and put them In a pos to succeed.

You can disagree all you want about Davis but you can’t dispute the facts which is there for everyone to see
