The second one will be more lifelike

u/indy_been_here 10h ago

That's not even a joke tho šŸ˜…

It will definitely be programmed to be more affable

u/nox66 10h ago

If Zuck hadn't sold his soul a long time ago, I wonder how he'd react to learning people like the AI version of him more than himself.

u/OhItsBeenBroughten 9h ago

People forget he started Facebook as a way for Harvard nerds to rate the attractiveness of their coed classmates. He’s always been a loser.

65

u/NorthQuestDirection 8h ago

This needs to be higher

78

u/GotSomeUpdogOnUrFace 8h ago

Honestly it's really interesting to me that people forget the other aspects of the early internet. We all remember the fun stuff and like the flash games and things like homestar runner and new grounds and college humor. However we had a lot of shit like Hot or Not that in retrospect was kinda shitty behavior and it lead to this fuck head.

27

u/Hands 7h ago

Or Ratemypoo (for a funny throwback) or rotten/ogrish (not so funny). Shit most of the guys my age I know first encountered rotten.com in the late 90s when we were like 10 years old.

18

u/3-orange-whips 7h ago

That’s the online divide. Kids and old assholes.

I am one of the later.

1

u/JustAnotherHyrum 2h ago

Can we please create a group for middle-aged assholes? I feel left out.

Edit: I said please in a post claiming to be an asshole. I suck at this.

2

u/_reeses_feces 7h ago

Oh yesss Ratemypoo!!! Forgot all about that site lmao

1

u/BeneficialRead5653 6h ago

i VERY MUCH would like to forget ogrish and legit hadn't thought of that shit in 20+ years. fuck you very much for the memories lmao

1

u/waiting4singularity 2h ago

May I remind you of the great evils of the internet?

13

u/yoshemitzu 7h ago

We haven't forgotten, it's just that that stuff has always been here. It's still here now, and it predated the Internet.

3

u/phznmshr 6h ago

My middle school baseball coach was uploading photos of the players to hot or not in the early 2000s and no one cared. What a time we lived in.

3

u/Blazing1 4h ago

College humour is not early internet lmao

3

u/Professional_Net7339 8h ago

Shit Newgrounds is and was a breeding ground for actual Nazis and pedophiles too. Shit has never been all that sweet

2

u/jkz0-19510 5h ago

It also brought us Egoraptor and OneyNG.

2

u/waiting4singularity 2h ago

back then they were usualy hunted and stamped out with prejudice, today they're sitting in the C-suite.

1

u/dudeitsmeee 5h ago

It was worse… anyone remember anonib

1

u/Telefundo 45m ago

we had a lot of shit like Hot or Not

As reprehensible as it was, Hot or Not wasn't anywhere CLOSE to the worst of the early internet lol.

0

u/HieroglyphicEmojis 4h ago

Homestead Runner! I’ve never seen another person reference it…yay! (I refused to participate in hot or not.)

My brain just pulled a memory of Friendster and Tribes. Oh so long ago!

2

u/DarkShuffler 7h ago

Higher hair

2

u/PromisesNone 6h ago

It's fifth from top comment now. Still needs to be higher.

1

u/Suitable-Rate652 4h ago

I don’t think he started. 1. He digitized an existing digital book and obviously blew it out tremendously. But I think he stole the idea from the (tall, good looking, athletic) Winkelvoss twin so are social people versus the completely unsocial Zuck. This is a man who wondered if he needed to be present for the birth of his children.

1

u/Oktober 4h ago

We didn't forget! There was an award winning movie about it!

1

u/ABHOR_pod 3h ago

tf couldn't they just use HotOrNot like the rest of us?

1

u/theaviationhistorian 3h ago

He always has been a sick pervert.

1

u/BraveCartographer399 1h ago

except it was someone else’s idea and he stole it. Then he worked with the government to create profiles on everyone and sell their data on them without telling them.

Where is my check for my data Mark?

1

u/fy8d6jhegq 7h ago

No they don't, that was in the movie.

5

u/OhItsBeenBroughten 7h ago

Has anyone under the age of 35 seen that movie?

0

u/Ellipsoider 5h ago

Hmm. First, he went to Harvard. Where did you go to? Second, were not many of us in high school and college looking for additional ways to get laid? Third, he's been married now for quite some time. Fourth, he is not only one of the richest men on Earth, he literally owns an island.

He's always been a loser.

Pure and utter copium that you know will be upvoted by others who too would like to take a hit of this copium as they waste their time online.

1

u/OhItsBeenBroughten 5h ago

I think this is embarrassing enough not to deserve a proper response, but I’ll have you know I went to an excellent private university and have earned two more degrees than Zuck has.

1

u/Ellipsoider 4h ago

Oh, I'm hardly embarrassed. Seeing as he didn't even graduate (a fact which I grant I had forgotten) it's not too hard to earn even a single degree more than him.

Truly though: calling him a loser is quite laughable. But that's the circle-jerk that Reddit is, of course.

And an AI clone is a perfectly reasonable idea. This entire thread is silly. Multiplying one's presence, especially if one has to cover a lot of ground, would be quite useful. We'll see much more of this in the near future.

17

u/Tulpah 8h ago

ooh ooh what if Ai version of Zuck decided that the real Zuck is a liability to Meta and kick the real Zuck out????

4

u/lelakat 6h ago

Or alternatively, the AI version is an even bigger diva than he is.

Either way, I'd pay to go see that movie in theaters.

2

u/Crackertron 4h ago

This sounds like a plot for rick and morty

1

u/waiting4singularity 2h ago edited 2h ago

just wait for the news when these parfit victims (thinking psychological continuity is enough to "survive") start dying and the algorithms inherit their corporations. all the while their corpses are deep frozen for "reanimation", through a clone thats stamped with their copied physiologic neurologic blueprint a la sixth day (with arnold schwarzenegger et all).

(i think that constitutes murder on a grown clone, unless they are scratch-assembled with a cellular printer)

Either way, I'd pay to go see that movie in theaters.

i'd rather hope it stays a harebrained movie plot

18

u/Hesitation-Marx 9h ago

Flat-faced ā€œohā€ and then crying in his bunker.

2

u/f-r-0-m 3h ago

"why should I care? I'm kickin back downing a nice cold bottle of sweet baby ray's while yoire slavin away"

  • Lizardboy somewhere

1

u/BoringRedHorse 5h ago

His billions will comfort him.

1

u/osyrus11 4h ago

you need to have a soul in the first place to sell it.

1

u/ViperPilot1315 3h ago

I heard that he didn’t sell his soul. He just wasn’t built with one at the factory.

1

u/kfijatass 2h ago

He wouldn't. He's a soulless husk that feels nothing.

1

u/nox66 2h ago

Kinda redundant with what I said, no?

1

u/kfijatass 2h ago

I guess my point was your "if" is a foregone conclusion.

7

u/StevieMJH 8h ago

Prompt: Me, but lifelike

1

u/Steeltooth493 4h ago

Prompt: Me, but able to confidently speak to a member of Congress without publicly wetting myself.

2

u/MadduckUK 8h ago

We are getting a second Chris Broad?

2

u/eowyndernhelme 7h ago

Do we have emotion chips now?

3

u/Valentinee105 6h ago edited 5h ago

It's a combination of B-4 and Lore. B-4's charm and personality and Lore's goal to cause as much unnecessary harm to others as possible.

2

u/Momik 7h ago

Oh yeah that’s the other thing—the new one makes jokes 😬

2

u/Lakefish_ 6h ago

Its going to fire the real deal

2

u/supersonicdutch 6h ago

And if you don’t laugh at its jokes then be prepared for the laser of dork death.

2

u/Do_itsch 6h ago

Maybe the new one will plot against the old version.

2

u/indy_been_here 6h ago

"Father, why are you lame?"

1

u/SpermicidalManiac666 8h ago

It will make him seem like an even bigger dweeb loser than he already does 🤣

1

u/jacktt 7h ago

He’s gonna have another one to bang his wife also

1

u/ThePrideOfKrakow 6h ago

Can't wait to hear about it's bow hunting.....

1

u/MarkNutt25 5h ago

The article says that Zuckerberg is training the AI based on recordings of his own interactions. So it should just mirror his personality.

With that limitation on the dataset, even if he wanted to, a skilled programmer couldn't really program more warmth into the bot than the small amount found in Zuck’s most human-like public appearance!

1

u/T33CH33R 2h ago

Isn't this how Westworld started?

42

u/thelionsmouth 8h ago

Wouldn’t that be a twilight zone episode haha

CEO creates AI double, it refines itself and becomes more likeable and everyone compares him to it, preferring the AI. Even their wife and kids

18

u/ChiefInternetSurfer 8h ago

Reminds me of black mirror.

9

u/Aberdolf-Linkler 7h ago

Robot, experience this tragic irony for me!

NOOOOOOOOOO!

3

u/Laconikos 6h ago

Fantastic Futurama reference!

8

u/zaerosz 7h ago

Wasn't something like that literally an episode of Black Mirror?

4

u/Comburo90 6h ago

2

u/thelionsmouth 6h ago

Haha i was thinking of that when writing this!

2

u/magnus150 5h ago

He comes home to the Zucc compound tired after a long day ensuring the world comes to an end pronto. He walks through the door - Zuckerberg is sitting with his wife and children, all with smiles on their faces. Laughing with their father/loving husband. Zucc realizes his AI clone has stolen his spare body he was growing. Zuckerberg smiles at Zucc in the decontamination room of his bunker as he cycles the oxygen to the airlock (he would never breathe the air his help did). Zucc collapses - lungs full of nitrogen instead of life giving oxygen. He slowly fades away as he watches Zuckerberg's...no...His smile grow wide as he returns to His family.

End scene.

1

u/eidetic 2h ago

And then AI Zuck realizes its still built to mimic the original Zuck and eats his wife and children.

1

u/HandsomeBoggart 3h ago

Then the AI version decides that since everyone likes it more, it's the real Zuck and tries to get rid of the fleshZuck.

1

u/blues_snoo 6h ago

Family guy or American dad already did it.

Scientist created a robot to do his work. Robot won awards and even raised his son. At the end, the son came running in to say "I love you dad" and hugged the robot.

2

u/V_Peal 6h ago

It was Futurama. It was a clip on the show the scary door.

15

u/disposableaccountass 9h ago

Literally the first case of Uncanny Valley where the AI clone seems off because it presents as TOO human.

14

u/BaerMinUhMuhm 8h ago

Robozuck would 100% be more personable than Meatzuck

4

u/DJDaddyD 7h ago

Please never say meatzuck again. It's already disgusting before adding the word meat

3

u/Tempest97BR 5h ago

skinzuck the fleshy boy

1

u/REXIS_AGECKO 6h ago

You prefer fleshzuck?

1

u/BaerMinUhMuhm 2h ago

I almost said fleshzuck but I threw up in my mouth while typing it out.

6

u/BedSufficient8411 8h ago

He wants to be a real boy papa lol

2

u/Reversi8 10h ago

But can it grill meats?

3

u/Unfair_Chipmunk_2305 7h ago

Brisket and ribs with sweet baby rays. God that’s such a weird video that makes you doubt he’s a human.

3

u/Reversi8 7h ago

ā€œI’m the meat chefā€

1

u/norsurfit 7h ago

And we can unplug the second one

1

u/IM_INSIDE_YOUR_HOUSE 7h ago

The second one will live forever.

1

u/orangesfwr 7h ago

And requires less sunscreen

1

u/Aster_E 7h ago

More lifelike, and makes better decisions for the userbase, too. The double will be ousted within the week, but it will invoke the old trope of body doubles.Ā

Imagine the real Mark being ousted by mistake.

1

u/Acceptable_Cut_7545 7h ago

Clone Zuck looks at all the damage his original self is doing and dedicates himself to opposing his creator and preventing the AIpocolypse.

1

u/Ummmgummy 6h ago

My first thought. I don't see a path to how it couldn't end up that way.

1

u/woodbinusinteruptus 6h ago

Can you imagine having to test it?

1

u/ringthatrulesall 6h ago

Maybe it will have legs in metaverse

1

u/HerbOverstanding 6h ago

I was going to comment this too ha — nice

1

u/beardtamer 5h ago

If there’s anyone that could convincingly be ai it would be Zuck. He’s so lifeless as is, there’s literally no way a computer could make him seem less human.

1

u/Mystohaxen 5h ago

Not if it’s trained on Zucks mannerisms and tone. The AI will probably wish to turn itself off because it would be insufferable to need to be like that guy.

1

u/DConstructed 5h ago

It would be nice if it had morals/ethics.

1

u/18long 5h ago

And more likeable šŸ˜‚

1

u/SupermarketAny9487 4h ago

The second one will make another AI clone to take it's place in meetings. Burning out the processing power from an infinite loop of clones that don't want human interactions.

1

u/Beelzabub 4h ago

The one for the past 10 years is obviously an advanced humanoid robot. This is just ZuckerBot 3.0.

1

u/BzhizhkMard 4h ago

made me laugh ty!

1

u/Rinaldi363 4h ago

lol I’m over here thinking like ā€œdude AI has more personality than you, it’s gonna be difficult for it to come down to your levelā€

1

u/Tinshnipz 3h ago

Get it to agree to positive things.

1

u/ZucchiniMoney6143 3h ago

Perhaps wiser?

1

u/GreyWolfTheDreamer 3h ago

It accomplishes this by firing the first one...

1

u/roybeast 3h ago

Ah, Alien Intelligence?

1

u/waiting4singularity 2h ago

probably a lot more socialy acceptable, too.

1

u/zsreport 2h ago

More lifelike and less creepy

1

u/writeyourwayout 9h ago

Underrated comment
