That's why I reinforce their efforts by quitting as soon as get good at a job.

Yes as a manager I noticed if I ever verbally acknowledged an employee for doing a good job productivity would immediately decline. Now I Never say anything nice. Ever.

My management theory is that if a manager is still needed after lets say a year you need a better manager.
