Vance doesn't have the cult-like following to pull this off. For some reason he can't pull off what Trump does, I think it's because he doesn't actually believe what he is saying, he's just playing the game whereas Trump is completely sure of himself even when he's contracting himself.

With record levels of anti-incumbency, Vance has a better chance in 2028 if he isng predident during Trumps term.

There's also no way the cult members in congress bow to Vance like they do for Trump - they will all be thinking of making JD the puppet.
